Dad is very happy living here. He had a lovely room that is cleaned daily and he enjoys the food. The staff are fantastic and go above and beyond for the residents. I am grateful for the level of care that Dad receives and would certainly recommend Ailsa Lodge Care Home.

My brother and I were very pleased with the care provided for our father in Ailsa Lodge. The manager was very helpful in providing respite care. The nursing staff were excellent and very involved with the patients. All staff were very well presented, caring and professional. The lodge was clean and
modern in appearance. Overall we were very happy with the care provided and plan to use Ailsa Lodge again in the future.

This is a great home which is perfect for my dad. The staff at the home are always there for my dad, they have a laugh and joke and always interact with all the residents, whilst always providing a first-class care service to all of the residents.

We are all as a family really happy with the care my mother receives at Ailsa Lodge. She is settled in her life there. All the staff who I have met really seem to care about the residents from the manager right to the cleaners. I would recommend it to anyone.

The staff are simply excellent. Always ready with a smile, a warm word and good cheer - for anyone involved with or in the care home. There appears to be a genuine desire to upgrade the care and facilities of the home in order to provide a warm, caring and interesting environment for the residents.
All of our comms have been dealt with in a friendly, open and professional manner. Overall, the biggest asset of Ailsa is its staff and their caring, professional manner and good humour.

Staff are friendly and professional. My mum also says she is well cared for. The food is superb and since being there my mum eats regularly and finishes her meals. That's a big improvement over being in her own home.

My aunt has settled well into Ailsa Lodge and appears very contented there. She is treated with dignity and respect and her individual needs are met with consideration and empathy. She is warm, well fed and comfortable and feels secure in her environment.

We have just moved our mother into Ailsa Lodge. She has come from hospital. We wanted a smaller care home and close to myself and my sister. We have been so impressed with Ailsa Lodge. Nothing has been too much trouble for the manager and the team. We have had a lovely welcome gift and a card from the
team for mum. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and cheerful which means a lot to mum after a month in hospital.

I am generally happy with the care and attention my father is receiving. The staff are friendly and caring and they appear to try their best for the residents. It would help if the home was a bit easier to contact by phone and then be able to speak my dad when I can't visit.

The team are amazing and always on hand to help and support when required. For the first time in years, we know our brother is safe. He is treated with respect, fed better than we are and the team look after him as if he is their own family. The rooms are kept immaculate and there are lots of activities
to keep everyone active. The team have also taken the time to get to know my brother and his interests which really boosts his mood and levels of interaction. Thanks for everything you do and I'm glad we were lucky enough to get him into the Ailsa Lodge Family.

I can’t speak highly enough of Ailsa Lodge Care Home! The manager and her staff have made a very emotional time so much easier by being so caring to Mum and I. The home is beautiful and the attention to detail is wonderful. The staff are caring and chatty, always making time to chat when I visit. I

My ex-wife has been a resident at Ailsa Lodge for about seven months. During that time there have been big changes at Ailsa Lodge and I have seen a distinct improvement in care standards. The staff are very helpful and caring. They are exceptionally friendly and build good relationships with my ex-wife
and me. They take the time to do this. Activities for residents within the home are varied and seem to be enjoyable. The management are good at keeping in touch pro-actively and keeping me up to date with changes within the care home. The care home seems clean and well looked after. The bedroom with ensuite bathroom is reasonable. Dining and communal sitting room facilities are good. Administration feedbacks can be a bit slow as are responses to the front doorbell. Recent months have been difficult with covid lockdowns at Ailsa Lodge but again the staff have been excellent at making this as bearable as possible. Overall the new management have made big improvements.

It's been lovely to see activities and visits resuming in a more normal way after almost 2 years. These activities have been good for my mum's social interaction and each time we visit her we see how happy and content she is.

My dad took up residence at Ailsa Lodge Care Home in April 2020 following the start of the pandemic. It was a difficult time for us as a family as we were unable to get in to see him for such a long time. Ailsa Lodge staff have been amazing as they took pictures of his room/surroundings and we managed
to get window visits which were great as we could see dad and how well he was being cared for. I can't thank all Ailsa Lodge staff enough for the care they have given dad. The staff are very friendly, approachable, compassionate and caring. My family and I are very grateful for everything the staff do and have done for dad over the past year. We are so glad we chose Ailsa Lodge Care Home.

I joined the Care Home in January of this year, I have worked in Health and Social Care since I qualified as a Nurse in 2010. During this time I have worked in a variety of care homes in several different roles and worked in Regional Roles for the past five years.


I graduated from the University of the West of Scotland in 2010 and have been nursing ever since.


I have a passion for caring for the elderly and have loved working in Care homes my full Nursing Carer. Its a honour and privilege to work in the Social Care Sector.

I've worked in Guernsey, Channel Islands, Aviemore before moving to Glasgow in 1987 and I must say, Ailsa Lodge is the best yet, this is my passion!!
