All our relatives and friends live in southern England, so not likely to recommend to those two categories and we live 250 miles away from this home, so similar reasons apply. In terms of our general view of this home, we remain extremely pleased that our relative is located here as it is local to where
she has lived most of her life and is very comfortable in her latter years to be so located. The Home itself is well run and our relative appears to be very happy at this location, having made a number of friends with other residents and has enjoyed joining the activities which take place for residents.

My neighbour went into Ailsa Lodge during 2020, she was unable to look after herself, she is the happiest she has ever been as she now has people around her all day. The staff are so helpful to her and kind to her.

My mother has been a resident in Ailsa Lodge since September 2015, she has been bed-bound for the past 3 years. There are no words that I can say that will adequately express the high standard of care that my mum has received from all staff within Ailsa Lodge. There is not a high turn over of staff,
and there is a good atmosphere between residents and care staff, with so many of the staff going that extra mile. They appear to show genuine love and care towards my mother and have done everything to ensure she is as comfortable as possible. She has had no bedsores, her skin remains intact, and the staff frequently come in on their days off to see residents. I can't rate Ailsa Lodge, highly enough, in my experience over the past 7 years I have never had any cause to be concerned or worried, about the care that my mother has received and continues to do so. Staff are never put out when you call to ask a question or want to discuss something. I am so grateful to them all.

I have no problem whatsoever with the manager and the team at the care home. I am extremely pleased with the way they have managed this pandemic situation. Always approachable and listen. 10/10 for the manager and the team. In completing this review - no disrespect - always room for improvement.

My mother has had nothing but friendly, caring and positive staff looking after her in Ailsa Lodge during her two-year stay so far. She always seemed happy when I was able to visit and is happy to chat on Zoom during this time of covid-19. I haven't physically seen her for 7-months, but in that period,
no one in Ailsa Lodge has contracted the virus, which is amazing, and I can only thank everyone for that. She certainly doesn't look any different from lack of regular hairdressers!

The biggest asset Ailsa Lodge Care Home has is its staff. They are wonderful, caring, compassionate individuals, from the carers to the cleaners and kitchen staff. The home itself is not the swankiest, but it is immaculate and you need to look past the decor as it really has a homely feeling. However,
the thing that matters most to us is the care that's given to our loved one and that is first-class and I'd recommend it to anyone looking at care homes in this area.

I joined the Care Home in January of this year, I have worked in Health and Social Care since I qualified as a Nurse in 2010. During this time I have worked in a variety of care homes in several different roles and worked in Regional Roles for the past five years.
