My stepdad has been in Rashielee for nearly 2 months. I have been continually impressed by the communication of the staff with my mum, his care and the friendly staff. Rashielee provides the residents with care and stimulation. They are continually looking for new ways to engage and have fun with the
residents. They have themed days, nature activities, sports, arts and crafts etc. The staff get dressed up for events and everyone looks like they are having fun. The range of activities is fantastic as are the staff. It is so reassuring for residents and their families during a difficult time.

Every member of staff from managers, reception and all of the care home's staff are friendly, helpful and carry out their duties in a very professional manner towards my mum and myself and family when we visit. Nothing is ever too much of a problem to deal with and there is always plenty of feedback
from the home in updates, what's going on, activities and general updates especially with all concerning the last year or so with the pandemic, which I think the care home have handled extremely well.

My mum was in here for approximately 8 weeks and thought the staff were caring and respectful. They had theme days and were a lot of fun despite the pandemic. Communication with me was excellent and I was encouraged to make suggestions that were acted on. I would recommend the care home.

My father became resident in January 2020 after being a daycare service user. From reception through to care and nursing staff, he was well cared for and his individual requirements taken care of. Family members visited regularly and got to know the friendly and efficient staff looking after dad. The
home is clean, welcoming and a pleasant place to be. Dad’s room was spacious and comfortable, with en-suite facilities and we personalised his bedding and added photos, to make him feel at home. Dad always enjoyed his food, which was of good quality and varied. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rashielee Care Home.

My sister is extremely happy and well cared for. The care staff are always on hand should you need to speak with them and greet you with a smile. Reception staff are always friendly and welcoming when you arrive at the care home and could not be more helpful if you have to phone. I have found every
member of staff from manager to laundry workers work as a team and have the well-being of the residents at heart.

The level of care provided to residents is outstanding. My mother was a resident until she passed away recently. I honestly cannot praise the staff enough, I most certainly wasn’t the easiest of relatives to deal with purely because I was of the opinion that no one could care for my mum the way I could,
I was wrong. Every video and photo I received from staff during the lockdown showed my mum happy, dancing and singing and truly cared for and content. It has proved to be such a comfort to know that the staff really do treat the residents like their own families. Thank you.

Would like to commend the communications from the nursing management team during these worrying times. My dads care and attention was second to none. All the staff are so attentive. The food is fantastic, plenty of variety and all cooked on the premises. The home is very comfortable and nice when visiting to have a facility to make tea or coffee. It's now great with added facility of sunroom converted
into a cafe, great for patients interaction. Management is always thinking about ways to improve to give patients the best stimulation.

Chef does his best to make sure the food is sourced locally, is fresh and nourishing, he is constantly seeking to please his customers and will go out of his way to make sure that the meals presented meet expectations. My gran has been a resident since October 2019. We were hesitant for our gran to go into a home as she had been able to stay in her own home until she was 95. However, we couldn’t have chosen a better place for her to be cared for. From the day she arrived, she has been treated with love, dignity and
respect.
During the coronavirus outbreak, we have been unable to visit my gran. The home has kept us in touch via video chat, videos and pictures so we know that my gran is ok. They are caring for her as if she was family, and we couldn’t ask for more.

I've always found the care home management and care team to be professional, helpful and friendly, during recent times of this Coronavirus lockdown. Mum has just spent her second period of two weeks respite at Littleinch Erskine, and I can't praise the care she has received highly enough. She has come out on both occasions saying she has loved it and says she'll definitely go back. She was very well looked after by caring, friendly staff. She was
taken out for walks and a trip to the local shops. The accommodation was clean, warm and welcoming. I felt comfortable leaving mum, as she obviously felt safe and secure. Couldn't ask for more.

Our mum was not very good for about 4 months before she died at the end of December 2016. Even as it was holiday, the staff could not do enough for us.
Mum was very happy at Erskine. She was well fed and clean with lots of singing, nails done, bingo and quizzes.
The staff was so friendly with everything
no problem.
As a family, we cannot praise and say a very big thank you.

My husband has advanced Alzheimer's and has been well cared for in this home for the past 4 1/2 years. He is now beyond the daily activities of news reading, crosswords, quizzes, word games, bingo etc.. Until recently he enjoyed the frequent sing songs and brought in entertainers. The staff are hard-working
and kindly and the medical staff attend immediately to any concerns. My husband has to be turned over every so often and changed. He is comfortable and clean. Laundry and cleanliness are meticulous. The standard of care provided is very high. The chef will prepare your favourite if asked.

Thanks to the warm welcome she received, my mum settled into Littleinch within weeks. This was helped by her having her own possessions in her bright, airy, large room.
She was treated as an individual - staff knew her well - encouraging her independence and determination to remain mobile in safety.
Her likes and dislikes were respected. Importance of her personal appearance recognised. Staff ensured her outfits co-ordinated and she always wore her pearls!
Physically - care was excellent - good food ensures she ate well. Excellent activities and entertainment provided dignified , affectionate, excellent end of life care.
Fabulous staff.

Irvine Watson

Job Title: Director

Joined: 1990

Irvine and Christine Watson formed LittleInch Ltd in 1988, opened LittleInch Care Home on 15th January 1990 and Erskine Care Centre on 1st April 2005. Previously, Irvine worked as a director of a Glasgow civil engineering company and as a senior manager with AMEC, the multinational civil engineering, building and mechanical services company. He completed an MBA at the University of Glasgow in 1993 and presently manages the business. Irvine and Christine have three children Andrew, Ian and Katie plus seven young grandsons.


Kirsty

Kirsty Cartin

Job Title: Manager

Joined: 2007

Kirsty has dedicated over 20 years to nursing in care homes. A local lass, she joined Rashielee in 2007 as nurse, progressing to deputy manager and then manager. Passionate about social care nursing, she completed the Queen’s Nurse Leadership Development Programme in 2023, earning the prestigious Queen’s Nurse title. That same year, she won the Leadership Award at the Scottish Care Home Awards.
When not in Rashielee, Kirsty cherishes time with her family but also enjoys the solitude of long walks in the hills. An avid reader, she finds comfort in quiet evenings, curled up with a good book and her cat.


Jennifer

Jennifer Carruthers

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2016

Jennifer, a local girl and familiar face in Erskine, began working for Littleinch Ltd as a care assistant in our Inchinnan Home before moving to Rashielee as nurse and then deputy manager. Jennifer has always enjoyed supporting older adults, both in the care home and NHS - a passionate advocate for person centred care. She attained 'Nurse of the Year' in 2022 at the Scottish Care Home Awards, a career highlight. Jennifer is a proud mother of two daughters who are following her lead, pursuing careers in health and social care. When not in Rashieee, Jennifer enjoys going to the gym and movie nights with her fiancée.
