My mother-in-law is in Balcarres Care Home and the staff go above and beyond for my mother-in-law.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Management is doing a great job running the home.

We are very happy with the stay here for my mother-in-law. She is very happy here. The carers and staff have been wonderful and she enjoys the food a lot.
Her room is always clean and the staff look after her well.

I cannot speak too highly of Balcarres Care Home. The care shown to the residents is exceptional, as is the support shown to the families by the outstanding management team. The lovely building is surrounded by well-tended gardens. Residents are encouraged to participate in the numerous activities and
outings. Cleanliness is paramount and there is an excellent, varied food and drink menu which my husband enjoyed. He was very well looked after by the friendly staff.

My relative was, latterly, receiving palliative care at Balcarres Care Home and she died this week. The care she received was outstanding. Great thoughtfulness was shown to me also when clearing her room afterwards. She was in the home for six years and many of the original staff are still there which
speaks volumes.

My mother's cousin was in Balcarres Care Home from 2016 till July 2023. during this period I visited a number of times. The care home was immaculate along with the outside gardens. The staff were second to none. the food, drink etc was excellent. The communication from the home was excellent as well.
My relative was very well cared for by everyone. Staff and management were very caring and very professional.

I write this review on my mum's birthday.
Mum passed away on 1st January 2023 after four and a half very happy years at Balcarres.
I could not have wished for a more caring, loving environment where Mum was looked after amongst "friends at home".
All the staff helped us navigate and make the arrangements
for Mum's final few days when we were also treated with respect and sensitivity.
They are all wonderful.

I have considerable experience in care homes as my father was in several either for respite or full care. In my opinion, Balcarres Care Home is by far the best I have come across. My aunt loved everything about Balcarres, the staff, the amenities, the food and the activities provided. Latterly she enjoyed
the daily exercise programme, she used to visit the front office every day and despite their busy schedules the manager and the administrator always made time for her. Sadly my aunt passed away in December 2022. The staff were devastated as they were all so fond of her. They went above the call of duty to assist me and even hosted the wake. I cannot praise the home and the staff highly enough.

Our first visit, Amazingly warm and welcoming staff, who were very informed and obviously highly motivated. Their passion for their profession was evident and their attention to even the smallest detail was exemplary. Our aunt is obviously receiving care of the highest quality and we were touched by
the dedication of the staff as they saught to achieve this.

My family are extremely grateful to all the staff at Balcarres Care Home. You have kept our aunt very safe and contented throughout this pandemic. My sister benefitted enormously from the exceptional care provided by the dedicated ever helpful staff at Balcarres. In the very recent final chapter of her life there she could not have been in better hands, which gained not only the thanks of myself and her daughter but also our admiration.

Balcarres has managed extremely well during the current pandemic. I have been well informed at all stages about my mother's care and wellbeing. Staff have also been very caring with visitors who have been missing their relatives. I'm sure it's due to staff diligence that Balcarres has remained Coronavirus
free.

Always excellent care. Have been well updated, even in Covid times. Staff's care excellent, been with restricted visits due to Covid. Always able to let me know how my mum is. Nothing is any bother. Very happy with my mums care.

My mum was cared for in Balcarres until sadly she passed away in December 2020. The love and the care all the staff gave to my mum was second to none. I couldn’t have chosen a better place for my mum to be looked after in her final years of life.

I support my friend in lieu of family and have found the care, nutrition and friendship given at Balcarres to be exemplary. The high standard of care and organisation shown throughout these past stressful months has been impeccable with the well-deserved result of ensuring the home is Covid-19 free.
Every member of staff is deserving of appreciation and the careful care of permitted visitors in their beautiful garden deserves sincere praise.
