A professional and experienced staff team provide the highest standards for nursing, physical care, dementia rehabilitation and respite.

The care home received a Good rating in December 2015 from CQC inspectors.

The CQC report said staffing levels were sufficient to meet people’s needs and keep them safe and safe recruitment processes were in
place.

Residents' feedback is encouraged via a residents forum which enables them to raise concerns.

Inspectors visiting in 2015 said there was an open, warm and positive culture at the care home.

My relative has been in Beacon House for nearly 6 years, in that time I have nothing but praise for the home. The activities have been absolutely fantastic for the residents, family and staff Xmas party's, garden party's, singing quizzes, the list goes on. We sadly lost our relative early December 2020,
was treated with dignity and respect in his last days. May I say a "Big" thank you to all concerned in his care.

The nursing home team are fantastic, especially during the pandemic. They have kept us informed and we had regular Facetime calls with mum. Nothing was ever too much trouble they made sure. Mum was always comfortable. Before the pandemic, there was always regular activities and we were always encouraged
to join in.

My mum who is 92yrs of age has been a resident at Beacon House since March 2018. Throughout this time we have been extremely grateful and impressed with the care and attention my mum has received for her acute medical needs. From the outset, we have found the staff and management have demonstrated the
highest standards of nursing care. The home has always been welcoming and the staff have created a real bond with my mum and are very much like a second family.
As my mum's health has deteriorated due to age and her medical condition, the staff and management have done everything possible to keep her comfortable and meet her needs.
With the onset of the pandemic in March and the subsequent Government restrictions the Nursing Staff have arranged "face time" calls and once restrictions were eased quickly provided what access they could, this has provided great comfort to my mum and our family.
As a family, all the support my mum and we have received has been first class.

Mum was cared and nursed for by such genuine, kind and caring people. If only she was well enough to know. When she was well, Mum never trusted anybody, but I know she would have at Beacon House as she asked "should we stay" in lucid times. Beacon House also extended care and kindness to family and
visitors. Thanks to everyone who makes this establishment work. Keep up the good work and thank you again. These words are from Dad, daughter and son.

Excellent care and support provided for my Dad. He always said how attentive all the staff were, really good meals, with his favourite things. We were very happy with the standard of care and support he received with his complex nursing needs.

Although it was the last thing my family and I wanted to do was to look for 24-hour care for our mum, I have to say Beacon House (from when we first visited) was definitely the best in Bedford.
Beacon House is clean and did not have a smell like many others we visited. Staff were caring, plenty of
staff, rooms were decorated nicely and had everything in the room that mum needed. Even though mum has only been living at Beacon House for a short time, all the staff/manager have made her so welcome. She has settled in so well and is happy to be there.

Clean, happy environment. Relatives and visitors are made to feel welcome. Carers attitude and care is first class. Individual needs were always met. Very friendly staff and understanding. My room was clean, well equipped for a safe, pleasant stay. Activities lady was amazing with lots of things to
join in to keep active and occupied. Care manager was very approachable, understanding and I still pop into the home once a week for a cup of tea to say hello and keep in contact with everyone.
