Dalnagar is a beautiful, classic 19th century home that has been lovingly and elegantly updated in order to provide residents with a spacious, relaxing and comfortable environment in which they feel safe, secure and most importantly, at home.

Nestled amongst beautiful gardens (which residents regularly help develop and maintain) and set to a backdrop of Perthshire's stunning countryside, Dalnagar is a relaxing and enjoyable place to live.

A great source of enjoyment for residents comes from organised activities, these help promote physical strength and mental well-being and residents are encouraged and supported to take part where possible.

Staff at Dalnager are fully trained to deliver person-centred care to all residents and all care needs, focusing on respect, dignity and comfort.

My mother's care from the very first day she arrived at Dalnaglar has been consistently excellent. All staff do their very best to ensure resident's safety, happiness and health. The building is warm and fresh to be in. Staff listen to the relatives and are so quick to phone to tell you anything you
should know. I couldn't do what they do - thank you to all.

Dad has been in Balhousie Dalnaglar for a few years now, the staff have kept everyone safe and well during the current climate. He is quite happy in the home, the staff are very attentive and call me if he needs anything or if they need to tell me any concerns they may have about Dad.
I believe they
are doing the best that they can while keeping in line with the current restrictions.

My mother has been a resident in Dalnaglar for nearly 3 years and during the last three months, especially, the staff have demonstrated a very caring attitude. There has been very good communication between the home and relatives with lots of pictures on the family and friend's Facebook page. There
are many varied activities each week and we can easily keep in touch via Skype. When phoning to arrange a Skype call it is effortlessly arranged and staff are on hand to support my mother, who finds communication difficult. It is so reassuring to see her and know that she is being well looked after.

Our family have been very impressed with the care and support our elderly Aunt has received throughout her time at Dalnaglar but particularly during the Coronavirus Pandemic. They have worked tirelessly to ensure that residents and staff are protected as far as humanly possible from contracting the
virus, and to ensure that families are kept informed and in touch with their relatives. They have also maintained a busy and engaging schedule for the residents and we are extremely grateful to them all for the proactive communication which has helped to lessen the impact of not being able to visit them.

The care providers at Dalnaglar Care Home are very friendly, kind and dedicated to those in their care.
They have given care and support to my mother and are dedicated to her wellbeing through patient understanding and passionate concern for her needs.

My mum is so well cared for in Balhousie Dalnaglar Care Home, the staff are very respectful to mum and all mums visitors, The new management team have turned the home around and are very approachable. Very nice care home and staff and management are brilliant

In general, the home is of a good standard. Rooms are well furnished and you can take your own if desired. It is now under a new manager who is trying to get more furnishings and to get more activities organised. Staff are polite and helpful.
