Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with some aspects of the home. Safety and access to the front door were discussed in the previous Residents and relatives meeting an agreed that no visitors or family members will have the door access code. This is to ensure Residents are not able to leave the building inadvertently when visitors are leaving the premises. In relation to the food that was served in the home, as an organisation, we follow a set of 4 weekly rolling menu that was planned with suggestions and ideas from Residents and relatives. We also consulted nutritionists and dieticians to ensure that all our Residents have a healthy and balanced diet. I am glad to hear that, in general, you are happy and satisfied with the highest standard of care and dignity maintained for your relative during the last days of her life. Once again thank you for taking the time to contact us and we will take it on board to continue in improving our service.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback as this helps us improve our service where required. The Home Manager has spoken with the team to reiterate how important communication with family and friends is and the organisation's expectations of this. The Home Manager has spent time with you regarding the staffing grid of the home and has explained how staffing is determined on each unit. Staffing is based on the dependencies of our Residents and reviewed at least monthly or as and when individuals needs change. The Home Manager has met with the Chef and the kitchen team regarding the menu specifically regarding the evening and supper meal times to ensure that meals provided are according to HC-One's approved menu choices; this will continue to be monitored by the Management Team.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback received as this helps us improve our service at Alexander Care Centre. With regards to our Residents who stay in their bedrooms, the Wellbeing Coordinator schedules one to one time to engage with these Residents as per our schedule of activities. These activities include Reminiscing and Down Memory Lane, newspaper and magazine reading, pampering and massage. We also have regular visits from local religious and spiritual organisations who provide communion and blessings to all Residents including those who remain in their rooms, if they so wish. To ensure our Residents are supported with social engagement and to improve our service, we are currently recruiting for an additional fulltime Wellbeing Coordinator. Thank you for your kind praise of our staff and care provision, we are very proud of our staff team and the work they undertake to ensure our Residents needs are met.

As a Registered Nurse with over 17 years’ experience, San has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
San closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
He also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Alexander.
When asked what he enjoys most about his role, San remarked: “The best thing about my job is seeing Residents with a smile on their faces. It means the world to know they are happy with the care we provide to them.”
