Our relative seems settled and happy. She relates well to the staff. Any medical needs are dealt with quickly. We are very content with her treatment here.

My mum has been looked after with love, care and attention to her needs as an elderly, infirm lady and an individual.


We are so happy to see her happy and content in the home.


We unreservedly recommend Collingwood Court for loving and attentive care.

This home is under a full refurbishment at the moment (which was badly needed) it has had a number of management and staff changes which has been very unsettling to staff residents and families. Let's hope it all settles down now. At the moment I have seen quite a few changes for the good, i.e management/staff
and activities. My review is as best as it can be under the circumstances lets hope future reviews will be much more positive.

I think that no nursing home can be one hundred percent perfect. Collingwood Court has had a lot of changes in managers that have severely affected the performance at the home. Some nurses and managers have suddenly disappeared and replacements have not been very good. My mother has never been dirty
or smelly whenever I have visited her and for that, I am very grateful.


Probably previous staff needed training in how to greet and deal with relatives dissatisfaction and complaints. Some current staff need training in this as well. I am not sure about how staff are trained to receive relatives but some of them don't do this very well. There may be some issues that need to be worked through for some members of staff to improve their overall communication skills.
On the whole, I find the staff kind, caring and helpful. They do all that they can for my mother. I think that the staff and management are heading in the right direction. Thank you.

On reading the CQC report, we were sceptical, but, thank goodness, reassured by the manager.
The service provided by the nurses and care staff was absolutely fantastic. Although my mother's health deteriorated, she always looked well.
She was always clean and the staff made time for her. They went
'over and above' in the care provided.


It would be good, if invoices are sent with bank details for ease of payment.


I'm glad we chose Collingwood Court for my mum's last days.
