Westcombe Park is a modern care home situated in a pleasant leafy neighbourhood of south-east London. Here, they warmly welcome residents in need of nursing or residential care. They also provide respite and convalescence care.

Every bedroom has been thoughtfully decorated to create a warm and homely atmosphere. Most of the bedrooms are en suite. It can also accommodate couples with double rooms.

The home is close to local transport links, is a few minutes’ drive from the A2 and benefits from a bus route stopping directly outside the home, making visiting for family and friends easier. The care home is also only a few minutes’ walk to local amenities, shops and the local bank.

At Westcombe Park, staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so it creates a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

Thank you to the amazing staff for their kindness and loyalty they have for my uncle. Every member of staff is amazing caring people. They truly care for all their patients. My uncle is in a very warm and caring place. I'm so happy that he is very happy with all the ladies that are looking after him.
I would highly recommend this lovely home to those who need good care. Thank you so much.

My mother was a resident for 18 months. The staff were helpful, caring, and happy to accommodate her needs. The staff are open and transparent and want to help. I can't thank them enough for the help and support that the team provided.

My father spent just over three months at Westcombe Park. It was a happy stay for him. The staff were always very cheerful and caring and always had time to have a few words for him in addition to their normal duties. They went to a lot of trouble to make sure he got the food he liked and actually put
on some weight! All in all, I would recommend the home to anyone and would be happy to live there myself.

Westcombe Park looked after my mother for her last 18 months. The staff made efforts to help her settle, get to know her and respond to her needs. I would particularly commend the key individual staff. The home is welcoming and comfortable, with a good atmosphere. My mother was safe and cared for

My mother, who has been a resident since March, passed in October. Her death was unexpected, the staff were very caring and compassionate, giving my husband I all the support we needed. I cannot praise the home and it's staff enough for the way they have looked after my Mum this year. Thank you.

Generally good. Sometimes when my Mum buzzes to use the commode, she can be waiting for quite a while. I understand there may be an emergency but sometimes it is unacceptable. She may have had a fall. There are no more outings, seaside, park. Last time I got a day off work to help only for the trip
to be cancelled - shame!

My sister came here for end of life care. She has actually improved and is no longer end of life. She is likely to move back into community. The support, nursing care she has received here has been exceptional. They have supported her emotional and physical health exceptionally well. As for her sister,
they have also supported me in every way through this difficult time.

Caring staff are generally great. Night staff are not as good as day staff.


Activities are good, sometimes could be a bit more stimulating and interesting. The main organiser is fantastic.


Management is frustratingly poor. Getting information is very difficult, as is getting things done. Helpful

staff seem to be battling poor systems, and things agreed to be done are not done.

Always short staffed especially at night time.
Language barrier with some staff.
Staff spend all their time in meeting and updating files rather than caring for resident's needs.
I am advised by doctors to have 2 carers to assist movement from the wheelchair - always only one carer putting more strain
on my body.

Almost all of the staff are friendly and amenable.
My mum has been here for a few years so she knows most of the staff.
The food is not very good, but the warmth and caring nature of the staff more than makes up for it.
Whenever she has had to stay in the hospital, the staff always seem very happy
to have her back.

Westcombe Park Care Home has provided excellent support for my mother in respect of daily care, standard of facilities and provision of food.
The atmosphere is caring and friendly, encouraging residents to mix and socialise.

We find the staff very polite, helpful and very friendly. As soon as you walk through the door, you get a friendly welcome. We are very satisfied with the care my mother is receiving and would definitely recommend this care home.

Good home mostly. Food not always good, menu done sometimes and not others, residents request some items on menu but sometimes not given.
Happy with treatment from staff, not always fully staffed which is a problem if one resident needs more support.
Afternoon tea/coffee, cake/biscuits not always
provided and sometimes too near supper time.
Too many carers left in the last few months.

My husband seems to have settled into his life here quite well, though I don't know if he realises, whereabouts he is.
The staff all seem to be well trained, capable and friendly.
His room is "so-so", carpet could do with either changing or given a deep clean.
