The Kensington offers residential, nursing, dementia, respite, post-operative and palliative care.

This large, elegantly converted Victorian terraced house is situated in an attractive residential area just north of Holland Park Avenue. The building retains many original architectural features and the layout has a relaxed, homely atmosphere. The home is surrounded by beautiful grounds.

All bedrooms are en-suite and are fully air-conditioned, and several ground floor bedrooms have garden access and private patios. A hostess service is also offered to give residents a truly personal service.

The home has beautiful gardens, in a very peaceful and tranquil environment that would make it hard to realise the home is in the heart of London.

At The Kensington, staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, a friendly environment has been created with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.

At mealtimes, residents can choose to eat in one of many dining rooms, including the conservatory-style dining room, or in the comfort of the bedroom if preferred. Soon after a resident arrives at The Kensington, staff discuss personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

There’s a real sense of community at The Kensington. Staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether the loved one already has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in.

My grandpa is so well looked after by the amazing team at The Kensington. I have not been able to visit since March 2020 due to living in mainland Europe with the COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns. The manager contacts us as families regularly through emails, calls and video calls which is excellent
and means that we still feel part of The Kensington.


The dedicated nurses and carers are doing a wonderful job day in day out during what must be a challenging time for them and their families.


On behalf of my family I cannot thank the manager and whole team for the amazing job they do with such care and compassion.

Living in Hong Kong, it is such a relief to know that my father is so well looked after by The Kensington and the dedicated team.
The home has embraced technology to ensure that I get to see my father via video link, and also see the manager and nurse when we have our regular reviews relating to his
care.
When I speak to Dad, he tells me how happy he is, which gives us as a family peace of mind.

My Aunt has dementia, a tough case of Alzheimer's disease, she was admitted after losing capacity and a long hospitalisation. She is extremely unwell and frail and though she recognises us her loved ones but is very confused and physically in a wheelchair. She knows very little about what is going on.
The staff at the Kensington Care Home are amazing, dedicated, kind, caring and attentive. I don't know what we would do without them.

I have been coming into the Kensington since March 2020. The lady I come to see has dementia. She is very well looked after and has settled in well. The staff is lovely and the care is excellent.

Very friendly staff, treated with care and respect. Much nicer environment than my previous care home. Sometimes the atmosphere could be a bit friendlier. Room is a little bit too small, but overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

My father is so happy and cheerful at The Kensington and cannot praise the staff highly enough. Even during the current challenges faced by Covid-19 the manager has gone out of his way to ensure normality reigns. Although we are unable to visit at this time, video calls and chats have enabled us to
visually keep in touch.
You all at The Kensington are doing an amazing job and are definitely our heroes.

I've been coming to The Kensington Care Home for the last two years. I visit a resident who is on the second floor. It is always a pleasure to visit, the staff are so kind and caring and there's a lovely atmosphere. I know my friend is getting the best care.

What can I say? The Kensington is like a hotel and not a care home. From the moment you walk into the home all staff go out of their way to say hello.
I am pleased to see that The Kensington is constantly being updated with new carpets and decoration.
The manager is so approachable with an open door
policy. I often visit and see other residents chatting with him.
The plans for the new lounge and cinema room are very exciting, along with the kitchen for cooking demonstrations and classes.
Well done The Kensington and thank you so much for looking after my relative so well.
I cannot recommend the Kensington highly enough.

My mother has now been resident at The Kensington for four months and although anxious at the beginning soon settled into the home. This is thanks to the home manager and whole team. The home has a wonderful feel about it which is due to the manager taking a genuine interest in all residents and spending
regular quality time with each of them. This caring approach has cascaded down to his team which has created an environment that is genuinely caring, happy and calm.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to anyone.

My mother-in-law is recuperating at The Kensington Care Home from major surgery. She feels extremely well looked after, both medically and as a person. I was impressed from my very first visit by the level of professional competence, genuine care and diligence and the many acts of kindness. The food,
activities and the gardens are superb and there is a lovely spirit about this place - a real find!

I have been well looked after at The Kensington but am surprised there aren't more staff at night. I was also disappointed to find that breakfast and supper are served in the rooms and not the dining room. I find it lonely. Also, the rooms are quite small and I don't have enough space for my things.
I find it very expensive.

The staff have all been charming and very kind. They do not patronise which is a relief and very important for the resident's dignity and sense of self. The care is consistently good. It takes a while for the staff to get to know the residents, but once a rapport has been established they really try
to make them as comfortable and happy as possible.
