Mum has been a resident for several years now. I am really impressed with the standard of care she receives. My mother always appears content and is always allowed to make choices which keeps her dignity intact. My mother recognises Uplands as a home from home because of the excellent care she receives
from the staff. If any problems occur they are solved immediately. Well done to Uplands.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Uplands. My partner has Parkinson's Dementia and often presents very challenging behaviour.
The home has a good atmosphere and all the staff treat my partner with care and compassion even when he is very aggressive. His medication is always dispensed on
time. The staff work as a team and go to great lengths to know and understand every resident and cater to their individual needs.
The food at the home is excellent.
I spend a great deal of time at Uplands and am very impressed with the level of care given to all residents.
I can visit anytime, day or night, but when I leave, I have great confidence that my partner is in the best possible hands.

My aunt experienced wonderful care from the staff at Uplands Care Home. They took the time to know her and care for her with dignity and kindness. The home was also a place of fun and laughter. My aunt felt valued as an individual, despite her dementia which was treated with understanding. The manager,
nursing and administration staff worked very professionally. I would recommend Uplands to those who need nursing care and I would like to thank all those who looked after my aunt over the 3 years of her stay.

This care home is of the Brighterkind. always a warm welcome at reception and genuine smiles from the staff. Comfortable rooms and homely meal areas. A variety of dishes on the menu to suit most resident's preferences. Communal showers and WC are clean, tidy and always supplied with hand soaps and paper
towels. The medical staff appear competent and alert. The catering staff are polite, considerate and friendly. Lovely atmosphere of teamwork and gentle care, all year round.

My husband had been in hospital for nearly 8 months before becoming a resident at Uplands Care Home. On arrival, he was underweight, very aggressive, agitated with a tendency towards violence due to his dementia. Over the past 6 weeks, there has been an unbelievable transformation, due to the patience,
care and kindness of all the staff. He has put on weight, is responsive, always looks very clean and cared for (he is double incontinent) and seems very happy with what he says is "His New Home". I cannot praise the staff enough for their commitment and dedication in everything they do and for also making family and visitors feel welcome and well informed. Thank you.

The staff are welcoming, they have quickly learnt to know my father. They treat him with dignity and are extremely patient with him as his condition is at time very challenging even his deteriorating condition he recognises staff. His comment of "God Bless you" means he likes someone, and I hear this
often. It is re-assuring for my step mother and I know he is being cared for. I will be forever grateful to the staff. They deserve a huge credit and recognition for what they do. It is not a "job" It's a vocation, the world needs more people like The Uplands Care Home.

My mother has been at this home for 3 years. Initially the hospital transferred her as a terminally ill patient, only expected to survive 2 days. Here we are 3 years later, and my mother has just passed away. I totally believe that the excellent nursing, and once she started to improve, the continued
care and nursing she had, made her last 3 years fantastic. Days at the seaside, lunches out and exercises most days, made for continued interest and fun. Very caring home and very loving at the time of her passing.
