My aunt had only been in Abbcross Nursing Home for a few months after moving from another nursing home where I was not happy with her care.
During her short time at Abbcross, I was very happy. The staff were always available to discuss her care. My aunt was always looked after with care and compassion.
The manager was always available to talk too; he also engaged with the clients in the nursing home.

My sister suffers with Huntingdon's Disease. She was admitted to the care home last August 2019 for a period of respite. She has improved immensely, with the care and attention she has received from all the staff. It's a happy, cheerful, contented environment, with freshly cooked meals in very clean
surroundings. She has now been accepted as a permanent resident. I would highly recommend this nursing home.

The treatment my mother received was first class. There is not a single thing I can fault the staff on. They were a joy! The atmosphere at the home was one of complete professionalism, dedication, warmth and good humour. Communication was also excellent and I never worried about her while she was staying
there. I had total confidence in all the staff and knew she was in the most capable of hands. Thank you again. I will remember you all with great fondness.

I visited my aged cousin at Abbcross on a number of occasions and was hugely impressed by the care and affection given to her. At all times she was treated with dignity and respect, tempered with humour, and most of all love. Whatever time of day I arrived to see her I was always welcomed, usually offered
a cup of tea, and never made to feel as though my presence was an inconvenience. Even though my cousin had suffered a stroke that rendered her helpless, unable to even swallow, the few words that she was able to say were full of praise and gratitude for being in such a nice 'hotel'.
On one occasion I met the owner, who was sitting chatting to some of the residents. He seemed to know them all by name and told me he paid regular visits to both his care homes.
When my cousin passed away a member of staff attended her funeral bringing a beautiful red rose from the staff. It was her day off!
I cannot praise them enough, they do a very difficult job well, and with great sensitivity.

My late Mother-in-law originally was moved here in December 2015 (local authority funded). My Father-in-law followed (self-funded) about 8 weeks later.
The home was very helpful in ensuring they were together as much as possible during their final 4 months together. Since the death of my Mother-in-law,
Father-in-law has retreated into himself somewhat and does not participate in activities etc. Despite this, all staff treat him with dignity and regularly talk with him, making sure he has all that he needs. 2 staff members in particular, have gone out of their way to try to keep his spirits up.
