Adelaide Care Home in Bexleyheath is purpose-built and has an experienced and long-serving team who deliver compassionate care and support to residents and their families. Dementia, nursing care and respite services are offered as well as residential care.

At the home, the team warmly welcome couples or companions who want to continue their care journey together.

Everyone is encouraged to use the facilities of the home including the cinema room, spa and many communal lounge areas perfect for socialising. Residents can participate in organised activities, and it is left to each individual to decide on how much they would like to be involved.

Rooms are generously sized, fully furnished and have TVs and walk-in showers. A high standard of food is cooked on the premises and the gardens offer the ideal space for residents to relax and enjoy the fresh air throughout the warmer months.

My mum's care at Adelaide Bexleyheath was brilliant. The staff were so professional, helpful and kind to Mum and us, her family. Nothing was too much for them. We were happy our mum was in a secure, clean environment, with people around her, so that she was not lonely. The entertainment and activities
were great, always something going on. I would highly recommend Adelaide for anyone in need of care and companionship. Our thanks to all the staff.

My Mum was given 24-hour care in the Adelaide Nursing Home in Bexleyheath after being discharged from a hospital stay. The care she received was first class by a team of friendly very caring staff and I can't recommend the Home highly enough. We were always made very comfortable while we were visiting
Mum, offered drinks and meals and treated with every kindness. In the eight weeks Mum stayed at Adelaide we felt that our wishes and her dignity were always respected and we can't thank them enough for making her last days peaceful and comfortable.

Mum moved to Adelaide Carte Home in 2015 after an 11-week stay in hospital. Her care needs were so complex we were anxious about finding anywhere that could give her the level of care and supervision she needed. It is a testament to the staff that she thrived in their care for over 2 years. I cannot
overstate the quality of care and attention she received. Care is delivered in a cheerful, respectful yet loving and tender manner.


In the final 8 days of Mum's life, the loving and supportive approach was extended to my sister and I. We were welcome to stay as long as we wished and practical and emotional support was provided. The staff were clearly moved by Mum's passing, even though this must be a routine part of their job. We were lucky to spend her final days surrounded by the love and care of the Adelaide team.


Thank you for making her last 2 years so comfortable for her and worry-free for us.


We have experienced 7 care homes in the last 12 years. Adelaide Care Home is by far the best.

My Mum went to Adelaide Memory Nursing in 2015 and despite the most agonising decision to make the move into care due to her Alzheimers, a better home we could not have wished for.
In the 2 years 10 months that she was there, the staff and the care she received was OUTSTANDING. Nothing was ever too
much trouble, every challenge was met with dignity, reassurance and a smile. The support that the family got was also wonderful. The home treats everyone as part of "one big extended family" - whatever the time of day or night the staff were unwavering in the response to my Mums needs. The activities Mum enjoyed most were the singers that came to the home, but there is so much variety that there is always something for everyone. Many happy days were spent out in the garden enjoying the ice creams and afternoon teas.

Our eldest daughter got married at the end of August and we, as a family, cannot thank the care home staff enough for all they did, not only getting my husband ready on the day of the wedding, but also keeping him engaged and involved in the month leading up to the big day by talking to him about it,
maintaining the countdown calendar we made, and taking the time to keep reassuring him that he was ready by showing him his wedding clothes. Although he was unable to express in words how he felt, the look of pride and happiness on his face when he held his daughter's hand entering the registry office said it all.

I would like to say how glad I am that my father was transferred from his previous home to Adelaide Care Home. He is cared for much better than previously.


Recently my mother died and all the staff at the home were very sympathetic and ensured my dad could attend her funeral and wake - arranging

transport and accompanying him all the time. This took pressure off me, for which I am grateful.

Would like to thank all staff on the residential wing. My mum's last 7 months here were very happy and settled. Staff here give beyond excellent care 24hrs a day. Meals are 5-star quality and the whole wing is spotlessly clean with a lovely homely feel. My mum, myself and sister were extremely well

My mother had to be moved from hospital to temporary accommodation in a care facility, she was taken to Adelaide Care Home and everybody there has been so welcoming to her she even received a welcome to your new home card.
The facilities and staff have been so impressive that there is every chance

As many know my sister was in the Adelaide for 14 months. I always enjoyed going to visit her. My sister was prone to falling as she was a very energetic person and apparently suffered 24 falls in her time there. Her last visit to hospital was with dehydration and because of her recent falls was then
given a 28 days eviction order, as they did not think she should return to the home to die in the comfort of her lovely room, surrounded by all her family pictures and the lovely staff that had become her new family. I feel very angry about this as my sister was still the lovely lady they took into the home and she ended up having to stay in the hospital until her horrible passing. How did they do this to her, I don't know? I do feel the new management just want to cherry pick their residents and are not going to accept the problems when a resident deteriorates, just throw them out. So please be careful when choosing this home.

My sister and I were fortunate enough to secure a place for our brother at Adelaide, he suffered with Parkinsons and therefore required 24 hour nursing care. Sadly he died at the beginning of this year but for the four years he spent at Adelaide he was cared for by wonderful staff who are a credit
to their profession. The home is run in the most efficient and caring manner, many of the staff have been there for a number of years which speaks for itself. There is good rapport between the staff and the residents alike. The residents are treated with patience and good humour and the staff ensure that wherever possible they are stimulated by trips out, for example, greyhound racing and the local gastro-pub. We were always confident that our brother was being looked after in the best possible way. At a time when care homes make the news for falling below standards Adelaide is a shining example of what any other care home should aspire to.

Hello, my name is Sheila, and I am delighted to be the Home Manager here at Adelaide.


I joined the home in 2016, bringing with me over 20 years of experience within the healthcare sector. Within this time, I have developed my skills and knowledge by achieving qualifications including Higher Diploma in Nursing and Diploma in Leadership. Working in both residential and nursing settings, prior to joining Adelaide, my previous role as Deputy Manager, where I have gained valuable skills that help me to succeed today.


I have shared many treasurable moments with the staff and residents I have had the pleasure to meet over the years. One moment that I will cherish throughout my career was when I was gifted some lovely flowers from both residents and my team to say thank you for all the support I had given towards them. It was a beautiful moment full of kinds words and love.


I would best describe myself as someone who loves to try new things, very passionate about my work and a team player. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, visiting historic places and meeting new people, which I have the pleasure to do every day.
