The Arkley has been purpose-built to achieve quality nursing and residential care packages, welcoming both short and longer-term stays. Carers are experienced in palliative and post-operative convalescence care, as well as in helping younger adults with a physical disability.

They’re here when you and your loved ones need them most. For planned respite or last- minute trips. A safe space to recover after an operation. To experience what their home’s like before moving long- term. To just relax. Whatever the reason, their doors are open.

This modern home has a spacious interior with many pleasing aesthetics. A glass-domed central atrium is ideal for socialising in, while there is a choice of lounges and an on-site hairdressing salon. The home is situated within beautiful landscaped gardens and residents can enjoy the use of a patio area and relaxing sensory garden.

Meals can be enjoyed in elegant dining rooms or the privacy of residents’ bedrooms, with food freshly sourced to suit personal taste and diet.

Discussion groups, arts and crafts, and flower arranging are examples of some of the activity groups residents have formed, while there are many visiting entertainers and events to look forward to.

We were very impressed with the overall presentation of this nursing home. All the staff were very helpful and polite. Every effort was made by them to ensure that our Aunt received the care and attention she required. Her room was spacious and we were able to personalise it and make it homely. Nothing
was too much trouble for the nursing staff and the chef made sure she ate whatever she wanted. Very impressed with the cleanliness. The reception staff were excellent as were the management team.

Our mother was at the Arkley Nursing Home for nearly nine years. During that time, her care was exemplary. She was treated with dignity and respect. The staff were always friendly and welcoming and the nurses promptly informed us of any changes in her medical needs. We were particularly grateful for
the sympathetic and understanding treatment both she and the family received in our mother's final days - nothing was too much trouble.

I have been staying at The Arkley for 4 months following the death of my father.
Although they are very busy, the staff always find the time to chat which is a great help in dealing with my grief.
If you have a problem, management is always willing to listen and help if required.
I will be keeping
in contact after moving into supported housing.

I have been very pleasantly surprised with all aspects of this establishment.
It is a wonderful place to spend one's twilight years.
The staff are all absolutely marvellous in their care and attention to our needs.
I have come to regard each and every one of them as 'personal friends' rather than
'paid carers' within the nursing and ancillary fields.

It is a worry to leave a relative in a care home, and I must admit that I was worried. However, the staff do make a real effort to look after the residents as well as possible. They are always happy to get something or do something to help. The resident is washed and clean, and an effort is made to
keep them as physically active as they can be. The management really wants to run it well. Nothing more that you can ask for, and I am confident that she will be well looked-after.

I was very satisfied with the care and attention I received during my short stay. The staff were very polite and generally very caring. The food was of a high standard. I had a premier room which was excellent.
