My father-in-law has been in Bourne House for the last 18 months. As the Covid pandemic has gone on the staff and management have kept me well informed of the situation by e-mail and phone. We have had pictures of the activities that my father-in-law has participated in. I have now been able to visit
him, he is very happy and well cared for. Thank you one and all for your kindness and respect that you have all given my father-in-law.

The staff at Bourne House are exemplary; they were very kind right up to the end. The room was bright with a lovely view, and staff visited regularly even though my mum-in-law could be quite difficult. The house is decorated in a fun way in places, which gives the residents something interesting to
look at. There were regular social events, and there is now a tea hut in the garden. I wish my mum could have gone there.

I have recommended Bourne House and two friends followed that recommendation. I returned to Bourne House yesterday having only seen my husband for three very short visits since last March. The welcome I received from the management, the nurse who carried out the first flow test and the three members
of staff, was one of delight to me meeting up again. My joy was compounded by seeing that my husband was as well as when I last saw him. In fact, having been given a TV, he seemed more stimulated and he talked about crime watch which was on at the time.

My father had Alzheimer's and all the staff I came into contact with were very friendly and caring. They were so understanding of my father's illness and

My brother was only in Bourne House for a short time unfortunately but in that time I could appreciate what a lovely caring home it was. The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was absolutely amazing. To have a good team you need good management and Bourne House are
so lucky to have their manager and deputy manager, they go the extra mile. It all emanates from them they are warm and caring.

I have been associated with Bourne Houe for the last 16-years as my wife was a resident until she passed away.
During this time, the management and all the staff has been very, very caring towards all the residents. The home, dignity and caring was and still is extremely good.

Knowing that my mother is so well cared for is such a relief to me. The staff actually see the person and take such care and show enormous respect for the elderly. Everyone has been working so hard, but have never lost their sense of humour during the coronavirus pandemic. The manager really knows how
a home should be run, and has to be commended for choosing such an excellent team of people. The home has a clean, warm and welcoming atmosphere with good food for the residents. They also understand dementia really well; so I know Mum is in safe hands.

Unfortunately, my father passed away at the beginning of April of natural causes. During his stay of nine months, I visited regularly. The home is a friendly place, and all the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. I would have no qualms in recommending this home to anyone else. The home is clean,
(cleaned regularly), the food good, and there's plenty to do for the residents. The staff interact with the residents. Whenever I visited I was always welcomed. The management is very approachable and will help to accommodate any needs. My father during his end of life period was treated with love and dignity, and I was also shown dignity at that difficult time. The home organizes plenty of outings, especially in the warmer weather. I would like to thank the management and staff for all their kindness and help over the last nine months and in particular the last few weeks (in difficult times).

An excellent care home for my mother. I have found both management and staff very helpful and attentive to both visitors and residents. Provision of information is exemplary, keeping me informed about health issues arising with my mother and ensuring speedy medical attention when required. As a visitor,
the staff have shown themselves to be very responsive when requests have been made or matter drawn to their attention. The home is clean, staff interactions I have observed not just with my mother but also other residents show staff empathy and a high level of social interaction over and above that functionally required. I have rated 'facilities', 'food and drink' and 'activities' as 'good' because I have had limited exposure to these, although what I have observed and heard about give me that impression at least. I have only seen my mother's room so I can't really compare, it is a little functional. I get the impression that there are rooms less functional in feel but at a cost.

My Dad died in the loving care of the staff at Bourne House yesterday afternoon. He was a resident for two years and 9 months. The dignity and compassion that Dad was shown in death only reflect the dignity and love he has received in his last years. We too have experienced the same care, compassion
and sense of safety and security that helped us sleep a little easier at night. Dad and the family are lucky to have chosen Bourne House in May 2017.

Beautiful home, staff very relaxed and treat clients and relatives/visitors with respect and dignity. I can visit at any time. All clients' needs appear to be fulfilled and choices of food given. More dependent clients are assisted and well supervised during meals, whilst at the same time staff promote
independence.

Every visit I have made to Bourne House I have been greeted by smiley friendly staff who have always presented themselves in a professional manner. Sometimes I have witnessed staff having to deal with residents that have lashed out yet the staff have been quick to respond and defuse a tense situation.

Bourne House is an excellent care home for my father. The standard of service they provide my father is very good. Staff are always happy to help in any way possible. My husband and I visited my sister and found her to be happy and well. Staff are friendly, kind and caring and were supportive of my sister and us during our visit. Excellent standard of cleanliness. Residents were being involved and spoken to at all opportunities. It is very much a home for the residents.

Additionally, I have earned the Supervising Food Safety in Catering Level 3 Award. With over two decades of experience, I have worked as a Chef in five different care homes throughout England, starting in 1996.


Joining Bourne House is a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my culinary expertise and create delectable dishes. I take great pride in not only preparing delicious meals but also presenting them with an aesthetic touch. Witnessing the smiles and satisfaction on the faces of the residents truly brightens my day.
