Clare House provides nursing, residential, convalescence and respite care, both short and long term. The majority of bedrooms are en-suite. At Clare House, staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so it creates a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.

Situated in a quiet residential area of Uxbridge, the home, a converted cottage offers residents comfortable, light, spacious bedrooms and lounge areas surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens. A secluded courtyard and tranquil sensory garden gives residents places to relax and enjoy the views.

The home has good transport links with a regular bus route stopping directly outside the home, not to mention easy access to the M40.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and tries to cater for all ethnic groups. Soon after a resident arrives at Clare House, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

There’s a real sense of community at Clare House. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether a loved one has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there’s lots of exciting activities to get involved in. My mother is extremely happy in Clare House. All the staff are very caring and friendly. They have great entertainment each afternoon e.g. quizzes, move and groove, visits from an animal trust, musicians etc.

My husband passed away in Clare House on September 14th 2018, having had the most kind and professional care possible. The staff were most caring not just to my husband but also to my daughter and myself. I cannot think of a more comforting place for him to have spent his last hours.

Clare House has a pleasant atmosphere with nice gardens and a fish pond which is pretty and tranquil. The staff are very caring to the residents, however, lately, I have noticed a shortage of staff members sufficient for the number of residents living in. The food is good on a whole. I am pleased that
I can leave my husband in capable hands when I go home.

My experience at Clare House is very positive. The staff (cleaners, care assistants, nurses, doctors) have all made my stay here as comfortable as possible. I have been made to feel as part of their family which has enabled me to accept this as my new home. I enjoy the company here, my room is lovely
and I feel safe and at ease.

Everyone at Clare House has done a fabulous job of helping my mum. Nothing was too much trouble, all the staff have a caring attitude from the gardener all the way up to the management staff. I visited my mum every day for 6-7 hours at a time when I was able to, and it's fair to say the staff looked
after me as well. Thankfully my mum and I don't have to go through the fight against cancer again but if we did and needed a nursing home, then I would be straight back to Clare House. As a relative, it just gives you peace of mind. You're in safe, caring hands at Clare House, I'm so grateful to them all.

My sister spent the last ten months of her life at Clare House. During that time she was very efficiently and lovingly looked after. The nursing care was excellent and all the staff, in whatever capacity, were friendly and caring. The food was good and well presented. The home was clean, bright and
attractively furnished. My sister's room was pleasant with access to a balcony where she could see the tubs of flowers we planted for her. We are so pleased we found Clare House and I shall continue to sing their praises. It is a place that goes the "second mile".

I really enjoyed my stay at Clare House and would definitely return again for respite care in the future.
I was well looked after, the staff were very polite and helpful.
The chef really looked after me and I enjoyed the meals very much.

A warm pleasant atmosphere. Any worries or problems promptly dealt with. Always a civil welcome. Refreshments readily available. Interesting parties and events quite often. Unfortunately, a high turn over of staff which I think is unavoidable in many ways. It would help the patients if they could see

From the moment mum arrived at Clare House Care Home she was treated with kindness, care and dignity. It took a weight off my mind that she was comfortable and well looked after. All the staff at Clare House are very considerate and showed great kindness to me too. I felt supported and informed. Mum
was happy there and felt expertly cared for, right up to her passing away.

Clare House is an amazing place. The staff are exceptional and always ready to help both residents and family members. My mother has had a new lease of life since moving to Clare House and she has settled in well and is very happy. She knows quickly and efficiently dealt with. We have no complaints
what so ever with our mother's care in Clare House.

Clare House is a very friendly, caring home. Nothing is too much should you need help. My mother is very well cared for and happy. It's the best home I have seen. Plenty of activities and the entertainment they have for residents is very very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We as a family

Whilst expensive, the care is given to my aunt during the 18 months she was there could not be faulted. This is how a care home should be but whilst this one had a head start being an ex-cottage hospital it is the staff and especially the management that really matters. Bupa should be proud of this
team.

Exceptionally caring, kind, loving staff who nursed my grandmother as if she were their own.
Creative and enthusiastic in their entertainment choices and craft ideas.
Well kept, clean, newly painted décor with a peaceful library and tranquil sensory garden.

always made to feel welcome and staff always remembered what the residents had been doing that day and how they were feeling to feed back.
Regularly took and displayed photos of residents and had 'Resident of the Day', which I thought was a lovely touch.

Excellent care. Good facilities and helpful and caring staff. Mum has had two or three minor falls in her room and help was available immediately. Very reassuring that staff were assisting her at 6 in the morning within 2 minutes of her paging for help.

My father was in Clare House Care Home from 2/11/15 until he passed away on 19/10/16. He received excellent care during his 11 months in Clare House Care Home. He enjoyed the company of the other residents and also enjoyed the fantastic entertainment. My father went in with ulcers, but for 9 months,
he was able to get about in a wheelchair and also got to out with dial a ride to the local church in Uxbridge. He enjoyed the food and until he ended up in a bed, for the last couple of months as the ulcers began to spread. He enjoyed Clare House Care Home and it was his last home. After the funeral, everyone was invited back for tea and a bite to eat. Great staff and excellent care.

Jeanette Gittens

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2018

Jeanette is qualified as a nurse in 1986, initially working on a high dependency surgical ward, moving into elderly care in 1991.


Jeanette moved into care manager roles in 2004 and joined Bupa in 2018.


Jeanette’s main drive and interest is in promoting independence and autonomy for residents.


Catalin

Catalin Cotofrec

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2015

Catalin qualified as a nurse at the end of 2014. Since then, he's worked as a Registered General Nurse before moving to Clare House in June 2015. He became the Deputy Manager at Clare House earlier this year.


As a passionate individual, Catalin always inspires his team to provide the highest level of person-centred care.

Marzena Szymczak

Marzena is one of our chefs, she has worked at Clare House for 4 years. She has a bright and sunny personality. With a warm and caring nature.

Our Senior Carer Karen has worked at Clare House for almost 10 years. She previously worked in the community as a carer. Karen started out as a Carer and after 2 years she was able to progress in her career and trained to be a senior carer.

Amy Aubrey

Job Title: Activity Co-ordinator

Joined: 2010

Amy is one of Our Activities Co-ordinators, she has worked at Clare House for almost 15 years.


Amy said “I enjoy working at Clare House, as you get to be part of the resident’s family. I enjoy getting to know them and helping them find new ways to continue their interests”.


Amy is a very thoughtful and empathetic person. Always helps the residents with their needs and requests. Amy is a jack of all trades; you name it she does it. Hence a good all-rounder.


Jackie

Jackie Harrison

Job Title: Activity Co-ordinator

Joined: 2021

Jackie is one of our activities co-ordinators, and she has worked here for almost 3 years.


Jackie has worked in reception in the corporate industry for over 30 years, and volunteers for Lynda Jackson Macmillan centre.


Jackie cares for her mother who is living with dementia, which is what brought her into working in care. As through volunteering and attending dementia groups she had seen the benefits of activities and interactions for elderly people.
