Franklin House care home is a welcoming setting in West Drayton delivering dementia, nursing and respite care.

The modern, purpose-built home has a relaxed atmosphere, with light and airy rooms and large, secure gardens where residents can take a stroll or even lend a hand with the gardening. The home has themed spaces that are great for residents living with dementia, including a reminiscence room, music room and sewing room. The home even has its own in-house pub and hair salon.

The friendly team enjoys getting to know each resident so they can tailor each care and lifestyle plan to the individual. All of the activities offered are based around residents' lifelong hobbies and the things they tell the team they like doing.

Staff go about and beyond for clients, friendly, clean, helpful staff. Rooms are clean and catered for the individual. There are always staff doing activities when I arrived.
Clients can come and go with friends.

With kindness, empathy and compassion, the team at Franklin House Care Home made Dad's transition to a residential home a less daunting experience - for him as well as our family.
All the way through, at every single level, everybody shows kindness. We are impressed by their devotion to their role,
to the rest of their team and to all those in their care.
The nursing staff are organised and efficient. Their strong and successful partnership working across agencies is evident from my meetings with healthcare professionals who visit Dad. The nurses keep track of what is discussed and follow the guidance.
The manager and his deputy operate an 'open door' policy. They listen to and respond to any concerns in a timely manner. They strive to maintain high standards and pay attention to detail.
The chef creates thoughtful menus across the seasons and Dad is motivated to eat breakfast, lunch and supper.

My father spent the last 9 months of his life at Franklin House. He was very appreciative of the care the staff gave him and the friendly nature in the way they chatted with him. Also very impressed by the way the staff greeted visitors.

Franklin House is an excellent care home with kind and patient staff. My father has been a resident for 3 months after falling and being left unable to live independently. The Management team and staff ensure a safe, friendly, and hygienic environment. The residents are cared for with compassion, kindness,
patience, and dignity. There are regular activities offered to all residents. Families are invited to events such as the summer barbeque and open day, which bring great joy. My father loves to spend time in the lovely garden when it is sunny outside. He enjoys the outdoor events in particular. When he returns from a hospital appointment, the care team always welcome him with a nice cup of tea! It is an inclusive environment respectful of the diverse cultures the residents are from. I would recommend the home to any loved one who needs this type of care.

My mother was a resident at the home for just over 2 years, after being in hospital and not being able to return home due to her inability to care for herself. All the staff at Franklin House were amazing with Mum and cared for her with compassion, understanding and gentleness. I cannot fault Franklin
House one bit, the premises and services were always well organised and clean. I would recommend the home to any friends or relatives, should they need this type of caring.

Franklin House is a wonderful care home with very caring staff. Mum has been a resident for 6 years now and has been looked after wonderfully. I am kept updated with Mum’s health issues and the staff are happy to talk when I visit. The meals look good and cold drinks and cups of tea are always available.
Mum chooses to stay in her room now although used to visit the lounge, where the staff keep the residents entertained with games, crafts and visiting entertainers. A bird feeder was put outside Mum’s window for her so she can watch the birds feeding. It is so good to know that Mum is living in a safe, caring and friendly care home. Thank you to the manager and the whole team.

My husband was moved to Franklin House from Hillingdon hospital at the beginning of December 2021, he suffered a severe stroke in the September and now requires 24 hour nursing care. I cannot sing the praises high enough for the entire staff at Franklin House from the Manager to everyone that looks
after all his care needs and those of all residents, keeping them safe and happy. The staff interaction with the residents and relatives is wonderful. An example of which is the lovely afternoon we spent yesterday at the BBQ with residents, relatives and staff in the garden, food, refreshments and entertainment, it was amazing and so much thought and work had been put in by ‘Team Franklin’.

When looking for a home for your loved one you hope you find one suitable to their needs. When we found Franklin House we struck "gold". My mother always appeared happy and surrounded by new friends, residents and staff and involved in daytime activities. She was always clean and well dressed and taken
care of. The staff and management were always welcoming and helpful whenever we visited, nothing was too much trouble. The home is beautifully laid out and has a welcoming friendly and family feeling. My mother was there for 14 months. Even attended the funeral. Thank you to everybody for the care of my mother and ourselves.

Franklin House took great care of my mother for 14 months. They treated her with the greatest care, respect, decency and really looked after her. She was involved with lots of daytime activities and enjoyed herself. She had all of her meals cooked, washing and ironing done and 24 hour medical cover.
If there was any issues they would contact me straight away, unfortunately, she passed away at the home 1 month before her 88th birthday. The manager and all the staff were fantastic and even came to the funeral. I can not thank the staff enough.

My mother has resided in Franklin House coming up to two years and I must say that the staff and management of Franklin House have met and exceeded my expectations in every way possible. My mother who suffers from dementia has been well looked after with the best of care possible.


The quality of

service, personal care, food and utilities are top-notch and nothing is too much for her carers. A big thank you to all at Franklin House, with a special mention to the Home Manager, Receptionists, Care Staff and all involved with the continued help and support for my mother. 5/5 Excellent.

When my wife was admitted to Franklin House from the hospital, I had intended to move her nearer to home. But as an essential caregiver, I have visited her almost every day and seen the kind, friendly and professional way she is cared for. Her personal care is provided and maintained to a very high
standard and her dignity is respected at all times. The home is maintained at a very high standard of upkeep and cleanliness and the pandemic rules for visiting/entering the building are strictly applied to staff and visitors alike.


I, therefore, decided that she couldn’t be better cared for at another home and because she is so settled I have long since given up any idea of moving her. My thanks to all members of the truly wonderful staff for taking such good care of my precious wife and although hard to admit, I have come to accept that she has and continues to benefit greatly by being in Franklin House, rather than at home and highly recommend it to anyone in search of a care home for a loved one.

Mum recently spent 10 days in Franklin House as part of a a step down programme. The staff were so kind to Mum during her stay; they made her feel special and nothing was too much trouble for them. Staff were always available to chat to me and update me, both in person and over the phone when I had
any questions about Mum. When I popped in to see Mum at meal times I was always offered a cup of tea and a sandwich/ biscuit.


Thank you to everyone who looked after Mum - it really is appreciated.


I can’t comment on facilities as Mum had to isolate while in Franklin House as she was previously in hospital.

It has been an unusual time during the pandemic. It has been difficult not being able to visit but we did have some video calls with dad which was lovely. Now we can see him it's good to make contact. The staff have let us know how he's been doing and it's been difficult for them during this time, so
we thank them for all they have done for all the residents - helping them all get through this without their families.

I went to Franklin House in Oct 2019 for rehab. I spent three weeks there. Staff were wonderful. Food good and the place kept very clean. If for any reason I needed a place to go due to ill health this is the place that I would think of going.

Both my parents were at Franklin House from December 2018 to April/May 2020. They had separate rooms across the corridor from each other and staff were most helpful in ensuring they were able to be together and have their meals in my mother's room. Whenever we visited we were made very welcome by the
staff and offered drinks and meals if we wanted them. My parents were always well presented and clean and were complimentary about the staff and the services they received. They were encouraged to take part in the various activities available at the home and by and large enjoyed what was on offer. As I live a long way away from the home I always felt reassured that my parents were being well looked after and that any problems would be communicated to me in a timely manner.

Joined: 2001

I joined Care UK in 2001 from the teaching profession. I liked Care UK’s ethos and what the company had to offer. I’ve worked hard to get a good team around me – having a team I can trust makes my job a lot easier – and many of the residents’ relatives have been great in supporting us to get the home to where it is.


Day-to-day I love chatting to residents and listening to their stories, as well as finding out how we can make their daily lives even better.
