Franklin House care home is a welcoming setting in West Drayton delivering dementia, nursing and respite care.

The modern, purpose-built home has a relaxed atmosphere, with light and airy rooms and large, secure gardens where residents can take a stroll or even lend a hand with the gardening. The home has themed spaces that are great for residents living with dementia, including a reminiscence room, music room and sewing room. The home even has its own in-house pub and hair salon.

The friendly team enjoys getting to know each resident so they can tailor each care and lifestyle plan to the individual. All of the activities offered are based around residents' lifelong hobbies and the things they tell the team they like doing.

Amazing staff, my father felt very welcome.
The team have been amazing. Very accommodating even for us as a family when we visit Dad.
Staff are very understanding and polite, any issues were always dealt with. The manager is always available and was always helpful and willing to listen.
Have had
lovely family events, my father who has now passed away this year, always felt at home with Franklin House.
Always a family atmosphere, very comfortable with staff, I really felt homely with this care home.
The staff were very helpful when we first came to this care home as a family. Overall, this is an excellent care home, staff lovely, sadly we are no longer attending due to my father passing this year.
We continue to connect with Franklin House.
It’s Dad's birthday on Monday... such a sad time.

Franklin House when I visit my friend always seems very welcoming. My friend seems very well looked after and her room is kept nice with all our family photos around her. When I went in Dec 19, they were enjoying some lively entertainment. The carers and visitors were all enjoying the event.

My mother has complex needs and can be difficult. The staff is very patient, caring, and very understanding. They carry out all my mother's needs with kindness and importantly friendship. It takes very special people to look after my mother and Franklin House is well staffed with them. I am thankful
my mother is very well looked after.

My mother was placed in Franklin House after her stroke and admission to the hospital. From day one, the staff gave her much care, kindness and continuing support that made her stay very comfortable. All the staff knew her, and my mother felt safe and cared for. On my visits, the staff made me feel
very welcome and would update me on my mother's progress and tell me what she been up to that day. I was able to send my mother messages, which the staff would print out to show my mother. This was especially helpful during the COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.
I would like to express my gratitude to Franklin House for all your care and support to my mother.

I can't recommend this wonderful care home enough!! As a relative who lives far away, I had complete faith in the manager, nursing and care staff to look after all my cousin's complex care needs. They were excellent at informing me of any problems, and I found them very caring and gave me confidence
that they would care for all his needs when he became unwell. I know he was happy living there and liked all the staff. The end of life care was fantastic, and they kept me informed.
I have no hesitation in recommending this brilliant caring home to anyone looking for a high standard of care.

Mum ha slived in Franklin House for one year and has always been happy. The staff are kind and caring. On her 100th Birthday, they organised a wonderful party. There were music, party food and a large 100th Birthday cake. The Mayor attended and presented her card from the Queen

My mother was in Franklin House as part of an NHS 'step down' placement for nursing dementia. The home was very clean, the staff were very attentive and friendly and Mum was made very comfortable there and well looked after.

I found this to be a kind and caring home, attentive to my mother's needs. She was not able to benefit from the activities or facilities so I have not commented on them.
The home is well managed by the manager and the nurses on my mother's floor were kind, approachable and always well informed about
her health.

My mother in law was brought here after a spell in hospital and after receiving care in her home three times a day.
She is not an easy person to care for due to her mental state, but the care she has received has transformed her.
She always looks clean and comfortable and is now joking with her care
team.

I am very happy about the care my dad receives at Franklin House all the nurses and staff are very friendly and helpful. Although my dad does not really know where he is, he is always happy and gets on very well with carers. He is always clean and tidy and enjoys his food very much.
Could do with an
update on décor and furnishings but that's just cosmetic and have been told that it will be done soon.

My date was taken to Franklin House from hospital after no more treatment was possible he had multiple organ failure. The situation was explained to us and he was kept comfortable, he had dementia but the staff were patient and kind and he was kept comfortable. It was unfortunate that he died on a Friday
night quite suddenly and we had no information at first.

My auntie was in Franklin House for a short period of time as sadly she passed away. The care and attention she received was above expectations. The staff always advised the family of her condition, the medication/treatment she was receiving and always took time to engage with my auntie and us. They
were very patient with my auntie as she was a very difficult patient. She was kept immaculately clean, her dressings were changed regularly and the staff persevered with feeding her and ensuring she was taking enough fluid. The staff were always very pleasant and no request was ever too much for them. No matter what time we visited we were always made welcome. My mother, at 92, used to visit with me but she didn't want to see her sister in the latter days but the staff always enquired after my mum and fully understood how mum felt. They have offered us to pop in for a cup of tea at any time too. I can't praise them all enough. A big thank you, everyone.

My husband spent 9 nights respite care so I could have a holiday with my daughter.
I felt immediately happy leaving him at Franklin House as he seemed relaxed and comfortable with his surroundings.

I joined Care UK in 2001 from the teaching profession. I liked Care UK’s ethos and what the company had to offer. I’ve worked hard to get a good team around me – having a team I can trust makes my job a lot easier – and many of the residents’ relatives have been great in supporting us to get the home to where it is.


Day-to-day I love chatting to residents and listening to their stories, as well as finding out how we can make their daily lives even better.
