Greenhill Nursing Home is located in a quiet, residential part of Bromley, Kent. They offer a warm and loving home, with a high standard of person-centred care to sixty four older people living with physical disabilities, dementia or elderly, frail nursing needs. Nurses and carers provide full nursing and clinical care twenty four hours a day. They are dedicated to caring for residents with dignity, respect and compassion and to serving residents’ social, physical, clinical and emotional needs.

Staff are loyal and hardworking, ensuring a strong continuity of care for residents and work to encourage independence and freedom of choice.

Residents’ bedrooms are spread across three accessible, secure floors and are well appointed, spacious and have ensuite facilities. Each floor benefits from a large dining area, kitchenette and spacious lounge. All bedrooms enjoy pleasant views onto gardens or the surrounding residential area. Whilst rooms are presented fully furnished to a high decorative standard, they encourage residents to personalise their bedrooms as they wish.

All meals are prepared onsite using fresh ingredients. Menus are prepared and updated on a regular basis, in full consultation with residents and their advocates. Carers are committed to ensuring that any dietary needs and preferences are met and that varied and nutritional meals are available to suit every cultural and personal choice.

Greenhill benefits from a diverse programme of activities, events and excursions, salon and treatment room, dedicated activities lounge and a large decked terrace. Strong community relationships ensure strong pastoral and religious support, with weekly church services in the home.

My wife looks well cared for. When I see her she is clean of body and clothes and her hair is brushed. The staff are caring and friendly. I feel that the staff listen to me and communicate with me. The nursing home is spacious, airy and not smelly. I think that more carers are needed as this is a very
labour-intensive job. This review is based on my visiting about four times a week for one and a half hours each time, so I could be missing things.

Generally very pleased, permanent staff are helpful and very kind. Management is excellent, good at communication and leads by example in caring for the residents. We have noticed a slight decline in the agency staff since the change of company, in the Autumn of last year.

Care and patience are very obvious as the staff look after Mum’s daily needs. The communication from the staff and the management has been very helpful and they make the effort to keep us informed.

From the moment I visited before Mum’s admission I felt Greenhill was where Mum should be. Greenhill is a very special home offering high-quality care that is delivered in a professional gentle manner. The excellent managers lead and guide an excellent staff team. Staff work tirelessly to ensure everyone
is supported with kindness and dignity. They treat Mum as an individual and have taken the time to get to know and understand her. Staff always contact me if there are any concerns. They involve and update me on any changes to Mum’s care plan or medical issues. They always put her needs first.
Since her admission, Mum has put on weight and her difficult dietary needs are met. The catering and housekeeping teams work extremely hard delivering tempting meals and keeping the home sparkling clean; while the activities and pastoral teams all put a lot of thought and care into the range of activities and services they offer.
I am reassured and thankful that Mum lives at Greenhill.

The staff at Greenhill Nursing Home treated my mother with the utmost care and respect and I cannot praise them enough! Her wellbeing was always at the forefront and she was greeted with a smile and compassion. Thank you for making my mother's final months happy and peaceful.

My mother went into Greenhill beginning of Covid so I didn't view this home. I only heard of Greenhill through friends who highly rated it, I was so nervous about placing her in there not knowing what I was letting myself in for but now I know I have made the best choice. Our family have been extremely
happy with the support and care our mother has received and we would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a good home.
All staff are excellent, informative, helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble and they treat our mother with dignity and lots of care. Greenhill is so clean and fresh to the standard of clinical there are also many activities.
My last word is to thank all staff at Greenhill for their hard work in these challenging circumstances.

My brother-in-law is receiving palliative care and has actually improved since he has been having care at the nursing home. During his time when unable to visit, the staff have been extremely helpful, dealing with enquiries etc by telephone only. Each person I have spoken to has always made time to
help, whatever the issue.

My mum was admitted to Greenhill from the hospital after a severe stroke for a 6-week review. We couldn’t choose or view the home due to Covid which was very concerning. And we couldn’t see her. From the moment she arrived the care was excellent. Every effort was made to reassure us that she was in
good hands. Video calls were allowed which was such a comfort. We could see her looking well cared for and with her things around her. Staff were always upbeat and positive but realistic when there was cause for concern. Communication was regular and detailed. They treated mum as an individual with care and respect. When it came to the end of life and we were allowed in there was compassion and understanding. It has left me with a feeling of peace and comfort to look back on.

Great relief to find Greenhill Nursing Home in April after searching for a nursing home for mum. Wanted a cross between hospital and a home. Which it is. Thanks to wonderful caring consistent staff, purpose built building, very well managed. Recommended without reservation.

I was told about this home from a friend whose mum is here and I looked at quite a few but my uncle is very happy here and I too am very pleased. I like the way you can come in at any time of the day. The staff are great.

I am extremely happy that my aunt is in Greenhills as the carers and management who work there are excellent.
The nursing care she receives is very efficient and kind.
The severe stroke my aunt suffered robbed her of her speech, she has to be hoisted in and out of bed and the left side of her body
(she was left-handed) has left her paralysed.
But with the carers' help, she has started to feed herself using her right hand.
Unfortunately, they are very short of nurses and carers.

Before my Aunt was assessed for Greenhill, Bromley, we inspected approximately 12 care homes.
This was by far the best.
Occasionally you have smells, but to be expected because there are residents with many needs.
The carers and management are excellent.
In my opinion though, not enough carers for
the number of residents in the home.
They do employ agency staff but why not pay more to the employed staff? And recruit more?

I am very pleased with the home.
Unfortunately, there are not enough carers for the residents and when my aunt gets hoisted in and out of bed she likes to have familiar faces as she cannot speak or move.
Overall the carers and management cope very well.

My father has been a resident at Greenhill for 18 months now and we as a family feel lucky we found Greenhill.
The staff are excellent and very approachable. The care given to my father is outstanding. The only negative is the amount of agency staff especially at weekends who lack the knowledge about
individual patients and their needs.
Overall an excellent facility and very well run.
