Hampton Care Home is situated in the attractive London suburb of Hampton.
The large, elegant purpose-built home was designed with generous rooms and wide corridors to give a spacious and airy feel, ensuring comfort and ease of movement around the home.

From the moment when residents enter the welcoming reception area, they get a sense of the quality of life and home-from-home feel that they can expect while living here.

Hampton Care Home has 76 generously sized ensuite bedrooms, spread over three floors. These are and comfortably furnished, equipped with a TV, a nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed. There is plenty of space to accommodate wheelchairs in each room, if required. Free WI-FI is available throughout the home. There is lift access between all floors and Hampton has its own hair salon.

On each floor there is a dining room and lounge for meals, group activities or socialising, attended by its own team of nursing and care staff. They are on hand 24/7, supported by dedicated teams of chefs, activities, cleaning and housekeeping staff.

The home provides nursing care, palliative care and short-term care as well as secure and compassionate facilities for residents who are living with dementia.

Hampton Care Home is set within a large and gated garden where residents and their visitors can relax on a warm day. Ample parking is available.

Additional security features within the home help to ensure residents' safety.

I am happy enough. Comfortable. Love chatting with the staff, feel safe and cared for. Used to like setting up and joining in with the quizzes. I love watching TV in my room and I like the staff.

We could not be happier with the care my father-in-law is receiving at Hampton Care Home! From the initial contact to handling the transition from hospital right up to managing his needs on a daily basis, the staff are nothing other than friendly, professional and caring. Whenever we have been able
to visit, my father-in-law cannot sing the staff's praises enough. From the reception team, administrators, nurses and carers, they really cannot do enough for him or us as a family to support us through what has been a trying and testing time, particularly at present.

My mother spent the last few weeks of her life here, after being transferred from hospital last December when it had been decided that palliative care was now appropriate. Obviously, this was a sad and difficult time for us, compounded by the current situation which made visiting difficult and infrequent,
but we were very impressed by the kind and respectful care we witnessed while Mum was there. We were kept well informed and I never had difficulty contacting staff. We were sad that Mum couldn't die at home but this was the best possible alternative. Many thanks.

Had an extremely negative experience with Hampton Care Home and would not recommend to anyone. Following multiple safeguarding issues with my father, the staff were very unprofessional in dealing with the complaint.

Dear Andy, we are sorry you feel your experience with Hampton Care Home has been a negative one. We have yet to receive an official complaint, but you asked us to supply details of your father’s care during his two-week respite stay. You describe staff as being ‘unprofessional’ when dealing with your complaint, yet we replied to your queries and provided full subject access regarding your father’s care within an hour of receiving the request. You received a response to your questions from a senior member of staff within 24 hours and a full response within eight days (well within our complaints procedure’s 28 days). During this period we investigated the matter and interviewed the staff who looked after your father so we could provide a comprehensive and detailed account. We are cooperating with the local authority safeguarding team. As you know, the issues will be discussed in an open safeguarding meeting this month. We do, however, wish you and your family all the best for the future.

I did not have a positive experience with Hampton Care Home, nor did my late mother, and I have had this home investigated as a result of my mother's death. I have had confirmation of errors made by letter with sincere apologies, and promises for improvements. I would say that for someone seriously
ill, the nursing staff who are often swapped over are not either aware or trained enough, or possibly stressed due to the covid situation that errors can be made. Maybe these unusual times are the exception. My experience is truthful, and I have not been offensive. I would hope this will be published.

Mum moved into Hampton Care Home at the end of last year. The staff were most welcoming and kind. She is well looked after; the staff are very caring, helpful and treat her with dignity. When I speak to her, she always says she is well looked after, which puts my mind at rest at this difficult time
when we can't visit.
I think it's a great idea that the activities staff have organised video calls enabling the residents to keep in touch with their loved ones.
The staff encourage Mum to take part in activities and mix with the other residents; she loves it when they go out on trips.

My mum has lived at Hampton Care for 6-years. I have always found the staff to be professional in their duties and show compassion and respect towards me and my mum. Their patience and good humour whilst dealing with her are remarkable, and they are quick to offer her a smile or a hug to reassure her.
They are generous with their time both with me and my mum, which has been invaluable during the lockdown, and I am exceptionally grateful for the regular updates from the nurses and the video calls organised by the entertainments staff. Before the current restrictions, I visited her regularly, and I always found her washed, dressed and up and about, enjoying her day. I am always advised of decisions relating to Mum’s care and medication, and staff are quick to inform me of any changes in her health or behaviour. In short, I have absolute trust in Hampton Care’s ability to look after my mum, as I know, that the staff always act in her best interests and I can’t ask for anything more than that.

My mother has been extremely happy at Hampton Care. She constantly sings the praises of the staff. Although the room came ready furnished, the manager was very accommodating and allowed mum to move lots of her own furniture, pictures and personal possessions into the room which has made it feel like
home. It is very reassuring to know she is happy and well cared for at this difficult time when we are unable to visit due to government restrictions. The activities staff have arranged regular video calls so we can keep in touch with mum and this has really boosted her morale. Prior to mum going into the home, my dad had been a resident until he sadly died in 2018. Knowing that he had so well cared for made mum’s decision to move into Hampton Care a very easy one for her.

The management and staff were extremely helpful, enabling me to transfer my dad to the home. When dad arrived, in his words "it was perfect". The care staff were attentive, kind, helpful and treated Dad with such respect. He was so happy the few days he lived at Hampton Care Home. Sadly, he then died
days later, but was happy and felt safe.

I feel looked after. In fact, so much so that I can't look after myself now. For example, I find it hard to dress myself now. For some time now someone has accommodated my request for an early bath. This person comes super early (during the nightshift) to make sure I am up before breakfast. The routine
makes/has a positive effect on my whole day.

Drainage to shower is poor. Dining times could be staggered i.e meals in rooms and dining room times.

The standard of care my father receives at Hampton Care Home is exemplary. Carers clearly have a passion for their work and treat residents with the greatest regard for their comfort and dignity. My father relates to them more as friends than carers. Mealtimes are fun get-togethers and standards of
cleanliness are of the very highest. Leaving a loved one at Hampton is as reassuring as you could wish - truly first rate.

My Aunt spent the last two weeks of her life at Hampton Care home.
She was treated with kindness and dignity. The staff went out of their way to spend time with her and meet all her needs although you could see they were always so busy.
The staff were so caring towards my sister and myself when visiting
and after she died.

After acting as my grandmothers carer for over three years I was nervous about delegating the responsibility to anyone else. I initially viewed several nursing homes but Hampton Care was the only one that I believed was right for Nan. In hindsight it's clear I made the right choice. I visit most days
(rarely at the same time) and the standards of care I witness in the dementia unit are consistently excellent. Nan is always clean and well presented and the staff never fail to treat her with dignity and respect. Most importantly Nan herself is happy here, making friends among both the staff and fellow residents and enjoying the regular entertainment (particularly the live music). I cannot recommend Hampton Care highly enough.
