Can't fault the staff at Hayes Cottage they are wonderful from the moment mum entered the end of life centre. Everyone is so caring and friendly, not just to the patient but so much to the family too. Unfortunately, we didn't make it in time for mums passing, but the staff nurse on duty stayed with
her holding her hand so she wasn't alone. I can't thank them enough, especially during the pandemic too.

I entered Hayes Cottage Nursing Home with a short time to live. I was unable to leave my bed or walk. After 4 months, a member of the care staff gave me the confidence to walk again. He took an interest after each physio visit with words of encouragement. So, the care staff are excellent. I'm leaving
here a healthy person.

My husband was in the nursing home for the final year of his life. He was always treated with respect and dignity. His needs were reassessed as his condition worsened, and I was always consulted. He received the best of care from nurses and carers. After lockdown, I was able to see him on Skype and
had regular contact over the telephone with staff to discuss his condition. I was always treated with respect and dignity, and also kindness, especially at the end of his life.

My mother was moved from Hospital to Hayes Cottage Hospital in her final days in Sept 2019. The support and care she and my family received from the moment we arrived was amazing - the Hospice staff running the palliative area, in particular, were patient, attentive and always had time for us as we
tried to navigate the very worst of times. The lovely gardens to the rear of the hospital also gave us a much-needed escape from the intensity of those last days. For us to have had to remain in the noisy and cramped chaos of the hospital would have been very distressing, but the peaceful calm and care offered by the move to Hayes Cottage Hospital allowed our family the time, space and comfort to properly farewell my mother.

We have been extremely impressed and very happy with the care my aunt has received and is receiving, as well as with Hayes Cottage itself. The staff are always very happy and efficient and seem very dedicated. Whenever we turn up to visit my aunt we always find her to be very clean and comfortable and
well looked after. The home too is always very clean and fresh and well maintained. All the staff; management, nursing, admin, carers, etc. are always happy to speak with us if we need to ask anything.
We would certainly recommend Hayes Cottage.

The staff in Primrose are a family, providing love, compassion, great care and respect.
They learn about the family and their needs offering friendship and support.
During the final stages mum was pain-free, calm and dignified which left us able to have memories of beauty.

My Auntie came to Hayes cottage after she was discharged from the hospital. When she first arrived her mobility was extremely limited and she was depressed. Since being at Hayes both her mental health and mobility have improved. The staff are very friendly and always greet you with a smile. Most of
the carers will go above and beyond to help you if assistance is required. The bedrooms could do with a fresh coat of paint, however, that is a minor detail. I cannot fault the love and care the staff give to the residents and family visiting. They offer plenty of activities for residents and often invite family for those special occasions (Easter, Christmas etc.) I used to be a carer and I can honestly say this is one of the best care homes I have been in.

My sister was transferred to Hayes Cottage from hospital during February - she was noticeably happier immediately she moved in. Whilst the atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were extremely efficient and so so caring. It was a pleasure to go there to visit my sister - always greeted. Absolutely brilliant.
My sister was bedridden so made no use of any facilities.

On arrival, I was met by the staff members who made me feel welcome. They are caring, devoted and nothing is too much trouble. They listen to what is asked, advise and do their very best to make like and our stay pleasant and comfortable.
The nursing home is well and efficiently run blending good practice
with kindness and quality care. Day and night staff are excellent, supportive and achieve what they set out to do, quality nursing, emotional and physical support. I bless the day I came here. In spite of my food allergies, they do a great job.

An excellent room with an ensuite tiled shower/toilet. I have been in this room for two months, but in the nursing home since July 2018. I am personally satisfied with the accommodation, food and activities which includes a trip to Brighton, visit the zoo, special fish and chip luncheon with entertainment,
visit to local shopping centre, luncheon in the park, Christmas pantomime. There is a large garden for exercise, a lounge with a library and a large conservatory where voluntary organised games at Bingo, Skittles, ball and balloons are played, including light exercises.

Hayes Cottage have looked after my dad very well at end of life.
They have been very kind to him even being patient when he's been a bit demanding.
The nurses are great and some of the staff are amazing.

My father spent the last eight weeks of his life at Hayes Cottage and received excellent palliative care in the Primrose Suite. I was extremely happy with the constant care and attention given. My father was treated with dignity and respect and I witnessed the same treatment to other residents at all
times.
From entering the building, every staff member was friendly and respectful.
I cannot praise the nurses and care staff highly enough; they do a fantastic job. I am unable to rate the activities or management - no experience of them.
