Heathland Court is an elegant and spacious home situated in the leafy suburb of Wimbledon. It offers long and short-term residential, nursing and and dementia care.

They’re here when you and your loved ones need them most. For planned respite or last- minute trips. A safe space to recover after an operation. To experience what their home’s like before moving long- term. To just relax. Whatever the reason, their doors are open.

The home is surrounded by attractive, well-maintained gardens, originally a private house, you will find many of its original features, including traditional fireplaces and high ceilings inside the grand stone building. There is plenty of communal space, with five well-furnished lounges and a conservatory for residents and families to relax and socialise. The home also has a hostess that is always on hand and an in-house resident hairdresser that visits twice a week.

It’s close to local transport links, is a few minutes’ drive from the A3, has its own dedicated car park and benefits from a bus route stopping near the home, making an ideal location for visiting family and friends.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

My aunt has been a resident here for many months and she does feel like it is a substitute home.


The staff are very caring and sensitive and have a positive attitude with her - very important.

Excellent manager, carers - caring with compassion. The place is clean and smells lovely, unlike the care home my late father was in previously. I have tried the food on a few occasions and found it to be truly delicious.


I have been visiting Heathland Court for over 4 1/2 years on an almost daily

basis. This is the place my husband and I would like to live in when our time comes!

This is a well organised and managed facility that respects the residents and provides varied and original activities. Most weeks have a theme that goes through every activity which provides a pleasing variety with an underlying routing. What I have found particularly impressive is the way that the
staff cope with all the difficult whims and fantasies of a set of residents with a very wide range of different needs.

My mum is being cared for in this home and I can't praise the staff enough. Highly professional, kind and very caring.

My primary concern is the food. I have stayed with my grandmother a few times when lunch has arrived; thrice it came late (once by half an hour, twice by an hour), once most of it didn't come at all and they staff served just vegetables instead. My grandmother and some other ladies are exceedingly thin
but don't seem to receive much food.


The staff mostly seem friendly and helpful. They appear short staffed and seem busy and unavailable often. Some sit and chat with the ladies for a while, but - particularly with catering - staff seems to disappear. Ladies on the ground floor have made phone calls to others to ask about food but sometimes it never seems to come.


Events are great. My grandmother really enjoys exercise (like Tai Chi) and singing. They could do with a bigger TV in the tea room (my gran says that's what they call it), but I've heard they're apparently working on this.


My grandmother's clothes all have her name in them but they still seem to go missing.

She moved in two weeks ago! Everything went smoothly except bedtimes. The lady at reception has made everything enjoyable and welcoming and always has a ready smile.

My mother has been at Heathland Court for nearly two years and has settled in well. I am very pleased that nearly all the same staff are still here providing care as one member of staff said to me today "We know them and understand them." My mother is a resident on a nursing floor. She is unable to do anything other than eat in bed. The quality of care for her is of a high standard. The carers are sympathetic, kind, interested and very capable. When she is able to comment she always says how lovely the carers are and how well looked

I found most of the staff are helpful and caring. The home is clean and well kept. However, communication with the doctor is not too good. It seems some don't know what others are doing.


Entertainment facilities are very good and organisers are fantastic.

The staff overall respect, care and treat the patients with dignity, kindness and friendship. I feel confident to leave my mother in the home because I feel she will be safe and looked after well.

Overall, this is a very good care home. The attitude is generally very good and they work really hard to take good care of the residents in what can be quite challenging circumstances. There is lots of effort to create a strong community atmosphere. A major plus is that they are very good listeners,
so whilst they can't always do everything to meet everyone's own specific needs or wants they always listen and do their best to accommodate.

It is a well appointed building with an attractive garden. It provides good care for patients who have a wide range of needs. I was a resident as the husband of a wife who was undergoing cancer treatment in a nearby hospital. My room was fine and the staff understanding and helpful. It was good to see
quizzes and review of the press to keep people active and informed. At times there can be some confusion at meal times but its OK, it grows on you favourably.

Before coming to the home two of the management came to the rehabilitation unit at the hospital and told me about Heathland Court. The welcoming atmosphere greeted me when I arrived and all members of the care home have shown kindness and support including the residents. It is well appointed and was
well decorated for the Queen's birthday. The food is very good, varied, colourful with salad, vegetables important part. Activities take part of each day, a programme is given to residents and the activity organisers go round encouraging people to come and it is lovely to see wheelchair residents joining in.

As I no longer live in London I came to Heathland Court to enable me to have some cancer treatment. I was warmly welcomed and the staff were very sympathetic to my needs. I did not like the ripple mattress on my bed and this was changed immediately. The staff listen to residents and all are treated
with kindness, Heathland Court is an attractive building with a lovely garden which I very much enjoyed. Visitors are also warmly welcomed- my 7 year old grandson said "You have a very nice room, Granny!"

Since I have been here certain items of laundry have not come back and I have had to buy new underwear. Also some of the carers seem to think that you are here for them to do what they want to do and not what you want them to do. But overall the staff are okay.

Although my uncle was only in the home as a respite resident for 2 months he found the stay to begin with very good but as time went on he felt that there was not enough staff on especially at night. The food was always cold not just sometime but all the time. I think the place is just very short staffed.
