St Judes is situated between Belmont Village and Sutton town centre and offers fully furnished and spacious accommodation over three floors. A passionate team of well-trained staff provide nursing and end-of-life care and also excel in providing person-centred care and palliative care to those who living with dementia or those who may be older with health conditions.

Staff provide an environment for residents to be cared for in an understanding, professional and dignified way. As well as offering permanent accommodation, St Judes can also provide respite and convalescence care for those requiring temporary assistance.

Professionals aim to provide the highest standards of care and services at the home which is a member of the Registered Nursing Home Association (RNHA).

Accommodation for residents comprises of single and shared rooms, most of which are en-suite, while there are nurse call systems and televisions in each room as well as a private telephone which is available upon request.

The home has several lounges, a cinema room and a dining room which overlooks the patio with private garden. Residents can enjoy a full activities programme, organised by the activities co-ordinator, including outings and local entertainers.

Residents also have access to regular visits from dentists, opticians, physiotherapists, chiropodists, occupational therapists, hairdressers, religious ministers and local doctors.

An on-site cook liaises with residents and care staff on a daily basis to ensure they can enjoy choices of well-balanced, nutritious, appetising meals that meet their dietary requirements.

My father was a resident at St Jude's Nursing Home for almost 3 years. He received the best care anyone could wish for. The staff were always kind and patient. A cup of tea was always offered to us during our weekly visits. We were kept updated about my father's condition. Any changes about medication
were relayed to us. We could tell by my father's face and his reactions to staff that he was happy and well cared for.

The home is situated in a very nice location with reasonable parking. It is clean and well staffed with carers who are well trained and very skilled. Every attempt is made to engage the residents in various activities of which there are plenty.

My husband went into St Judes Nursing Home in April 2015 until he passed away in September 2016. The care and attention that he received whilst there, was second to none, nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff were first class and did all they could for him to make him as comfortable as possible.
Whenever family or friends visited they always received a warm welcome and if more than two visitors arrived they made sure a private area was available. I cannot give enough praise to the staff of St Judes, they were all so very good.

From the outset everyone was kind, caring and professional. My mother received palliative care, and was only there for not quite 2 weeks before she died but the care was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The home was clean and tidy at all times. Every resident seemed content and happy, there
was a lot of activities provided for the residents, lots of stimulation to help those who need extra help and care. I would recommend St Jude's to anyone who asks.

I cannot express my thanks and gratitude enough for the way in which St Jude's Nursing Home undertook palliative care for my mother. I am thankful she managed to obtain a room in this establishment and very happy that her six weeks stay was so peaceful. Her condition was such that she could not speak
and yet the staff were tireless in their endeavours to communicate and understand the needs of their patient. It was sometimes a very difficult task to manger pain and understand the needs of the human body and mind. I always left knowing she would be cared for and that standards would remain high. The premises was always clean and odour free!

My aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer and her prognosis was extremely short. We needed to place her in a nursing home which specialized in cancer & end of life support care. St Jude's was highly recommended to us and from day one, it was very evident that we made a successful decision.


The

managers of the home are gems and really displayed a natural and discerning and very genuine attitude and concern for my aunt's welfare and support to me & my family as well. The staff team there were amazing! All members of the team were always pleasant, caring, friendly, highly professional & dedicated to providing discerning and personal care to a very high standard. My aunt was so well looked after, I couldn't have wanted for more.


There is no doubt that my aunt spent her last days in comfort and peace of mind knowing that she was in safe, nurturing and homely environment. For that, my family and I are forever indebted to the team there and we cannot express our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to them.


It is pleasure and the utmost confidence that I highly recommend their services to any seeking to place their loved one in a quality care home.

My sister and I will be forever grateful to the staff at St.Judes for allowing our Mother to spend the last few months of her life in a caring, 'homely' environment and with dignity. The facilities are excellent and the home is bright and cheerful a stark contrast to some of the nursing homes we visited.
We always felt that the staff were very genuine and the level of nursing care was good.
