On arrival at the home we are always welcomed by the staff and we are offered tea and coffee.
The home is very clean and tidy, Mum is kept clean and her clothes always look nice and well-kept.
We find the staff very supportive, when Mum is not at her best, and are always there to help us with any
concerns we may have regarding Mum.
I have been with Mum when her lunch has been served, it always looks nice and well-presented.
Mum's room is very well kept, and her clothes are all tidy in her drawers and wardrobe.
Overall we find the home a lovely place for Mum to be whatever time she has left to be surrounded by the lovely staff that look after her.
We would like to thank everyone concerned who is involved with the care for Mum.

Mum has been a resident at the home since July 2023. The home is dated, however for elderly residents this is unlikely to be an issue. Young visitors to the home may take a different view. Our experience with the home has been positive. Mum is well cared for and recognises the staff who come into her
room. The care home manager is always accessible to us if we have a concern. The team at Lodore, which includes the nursing staff, carers, and housekeepers, are kind, compassionate and very welcoming. When we leave the home we feel that Mum is in good hands which is so important to us. I don't really have an opinion on value for money because I am not up to date with the costs of other care homes in the area. However, I suspect it is good value for money. I would recommend this nursing home because the care is excellent which should be the most important consideration to anyone looking for a nursing home.

Lodore have looked after my Aunt for the best part of two and a half years. During that time, she received brilliant service and care.
The staff at Lodore looked after her with great care and love. In my dealings with them, they have been thoughtful and communicative if there was a problem.
If I was
to recommend a home for family or friends in the future, Lodore would be top of my list.

My mother has now been in Lodore for more than 7 years. During that time she has always received kind care and attention from the staff here. Yes, there have been various staff changes but the levels of care have always been very good. Whilst bed-bound Mum is looked after extremely well whether that
is nursing care, general care or just talking to us as a family.

I am so pleased that my mum was accepted for a place in this nursing home upon her discharge from hospital. Her arrival day was her birthday and they baked her a cake and waited until we were there to gather in her room to sing Happy Birthday. The staff, without exception, are very friendly and always
find the time for a brief conversation and if they have seen me arrive to visit they will bring me a cup of tea. Unfortunately, my mum is bed-bound but she is always kept clean and the bedding is always clean also. Mum is as happy and as comfortable as she can be given the circumstances and this knowledge gives me a lot of comfort. I cannot thank them all enough for the care they have provided and continue to provide in making this difficult time a little easier.

My aunt has been a resident for in excess of 4 years at Lodore care home.
She has been cared for well in sometimes difficult circumstances and the staff have always been diligent in their attendance.
The managers and staff have kept us informed of my aunt's wellbeing and needs as we live abroad both
by email and telephone which is greatly appreciated.

My relative has been a resident of Lodore since September 2022. The staff are attentive and caring, and my relative feels content and happy. If I had any issues I know how to reach the manager. The communication for relatives is excellent.
My relative has choices of food and what they would like to
do with their day. They are encouraged to take part in activities if they wish. Lodore feels homely and welcoming. My relative regularly comments to me about how happy they are at Lodore. The staff turnover that we have experienced is very low.

Moving Mum into a nursing home was something she would never have chosen, however, when it became essential she could not have had a better experience. From the first time Mum and I met the staff we were welcomed into the Lodore family. Mum was treated with dignity and respect at all times. She was
cared for throughout her final months by staff who really cared about their job and the service they provided. Their care also extended to myself to make sure they support me too. I couldn't have asked for better.

Lodore is a very friendly care home. All staff are friendly and very polite. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. They are extremely kind and look after residents with the utmost care.
You can approach them at any time and they take trouble to explain everything to you.

My mum, who has dementia, has been living here since May 2023 after a fall at home. She is very happy and settled. The team are incredibly kind and caring and go out of their way to interact with her throughout the day. They make my Dad and I feel very welcome when we come to visit and clearly care
about Mum and her experience here.
The new owners are updating the decor throughout with the manager and it's so nice to see how happy everyone is to be here including the staff.
The manager is responsive to suggestions and they made a big fuss of Mum on her birthday which was so lovely!
She is much more settled and happy since moving here.

My mum has been a resident at Lodore for nearly 7 years. I can remember when my brother and I first visited immediately realising that Lodore was a really special care home and very much wanting Mum to be able to join their community. She had had a nasty fall and it was very scary to suddenly have to
find a place that could give her the support that she needed. We've always felt so lucky that they were able to offer Mum a place.
I love the scale of the building - it's not too big and feels like a proper home with the beautiful wooden panelled hallway and rooms radiating out from the central hallways, ensuring that all the residents feel connected and that staff are always close by.
The level of care is exceptionally good, it's the perfect mix of high professional standards combined with gentle, thoughtful care and understanding. The atmosphere is wonderful too, very warm and friendly, genuinely beautifully client-centred, with lots of love and gentle humour too.

The care and nursing team always provide fantastic care and support and they always have a smile on their faces.

My mum is a resident here at the moment. She is happy here, has recieved brilliant care. Staff are always friendly and polite, addressing her by her first. They made a lovely cake for her birthday and everyone came to her room singing happy birthday. It's always clean and tidy. The manager is always
