A former convent, this home has been refurbished to provide spacious and homely accommodation including ensuite bedrooms, a dedicated activity room and large communal rooms. Landscaped gardens and a patio area can be enjoyed by all. The home is close to the shops and local amenities.

The home can also accommodate couples with suites, which are larger rooms available for single and double occupancy.

Staff take great care to focus on the person at Lynton Hall. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so they create a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at Lynton Hall, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

I am quite happy but need my hair cut and shampoo. My family want to take me out. Very happy with a clean, sunny room, very quiet and always sleep well. I never expected to end up in a care home, being 96yrs of age, I will see it through to the end and stay put. Sold my bungalow, so no choice. My choice
of vegetables is not what they dish up.

I was able to visit my Dad today after four months of lockdown. It was an arranged appointment with a sheltered area set up in the garden and all the required PPE was provided. It was amazing to see him after so long and he seemed to be in very high spirits and happy as ever. It seems to me he has really
settled in well and the staff all seem very nice and helpful. These visits can only be a great boost to all the residents and their families and it was really well organised. Many thanks to all involved.

During my friends' stay at Lynton Hall, she received excellent medical attention from professional staff. They really care for each resident. She had a lovely bright room. Good food was well presented and all her needs were met. We felt welcome to visit at any time. The nursing and admin staff were
always willing to give us updates. I highly recommend Lynton Hall. I know my friend felt safe and happy there. Everyone has been so kind.

All members of staff, irrespective of their role, treated my 94-year-old mum with the greatest dignity, kindness and care. Their smiling faces and helpful attitude offered such a friendly and positive atmosphere.


The choice of meals and the quality of food was also excellent.

Mother was becoming socially isolated due to dementia and lack of movements.
Since she arrived, she has started mixing with the residents and very much enjoys the food.
She is happy here and long-standing ailments such as leg ulcers which have been well attended upon.

My father was a resident for nearly two and a half years with pick's dementia. The care from all the staff during this time was excellent. The staff showed genuine interest, care and warmth. Getting to know and understand his character. My father's health declined from June 2017 and the staff ensured
we were fully informed of all that was happening. All staff were immensely supportive during his demise and their care during his death was very much appreciated.

The receptionist who was the first person we spoke to and met was a delight showing us around with warmth and enthusiasm. My parents were treated with concern and good humour where appropriate. My mother turned 80 while there and received a cake which was a very sweet idea. The home was always clean
which gave us confidence.


The resident's cats were sweet and at times entertaining. The manager was reassuring and eased my mind at a potentially stressful time by being flexible nursing staff were thorough and caring.

Set in a quiet residential street, Lynton Hall is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable staff, who go the extra mile to ensure residents and family feel relaxed and welcome. The nursing team are professional and very approachable.
They were very quick to visit mum in the hospital so her needs could
be assessed before her arrival. From the onset, she was very well monitored and I was amazed at how quickly she settled in and started making progress.
Mum’s clothes were all labelled by the staff on arrival and anything new I bring is done promptly.
The activities team ensure there is never a dull day with a new schedule of events every week. The music and television programmes in the lounge are always selected with the residents in mind.
On mum’s birthday, they baked her a cake, decorated her room and made it a really memorable day, which it was, considering how weak she was when she first arrived over a year ago. Heartfelt thanks to you all.

Mum has been in Lynton Hall for eight months now and seems to have settled in very comfortably. The staff are friendly and helpful and Mum has warmed to them as they have to her.
She seems to have a good bond with everybody here.
Mum suffers from Multi-System Atrophy but since being at Lynton Hall,
she has made a remarkable improvement and that's a testament to the quality of care she has received.
So far all is good. As a suggestion my mother likes salads in the summer, maybe tuna salad with cold potatoes with mayonnaise. She also likes Mediterranean salads with balsamic dressing.

My mother moved to Lynton Hall frail and frightened and confused. She ended her life there peacefully having enjoyed her time in the home - secure and well cared for. The staff were equally caring to the family during her stay and in the difficult process of saying goodbye and clearing her room.

My mother was looked after here for the last three years of her life.
The kindness and consideration of all the staff has been amazing.
All aspects of care are excellent, from the nurses and carers as well as housekeeping and catering.
This is a 'home' not a fancy modern hotel, so it may not be for
you.
However, without doubt, Lynton Hall is 5 stars in its depth of knowledge, treatment, care and kindness shown to residents and their relatives.

I have visited Lynton Hall virtually every day for the past two years to help one of the residents with her lunch. I have seen all aspects of the home and spoken to its managers, nurses, carers, kitchen staff and cleaners. My impression is of a well administered institution with genuine care shown
for all residents. Individuals, many with dementia, are given close personal attention, particularly when eating or needing help with the lavatory. The ladies who give this care are endlessly patient, especially so when dealing with residents who, through no faults of their own, are awkward or bad tempered. I have nothing but admiration for the care given. The beloved lady I visit, who needs help with everything, is beautifully looked after and, within her limitations, tells me she is happy. I cannot ask for more.

My friend came to the care home from the hospital in Feb 2016. She was initially a 'demanding' patient. She had complex health issues resulting in her being confined to bed. Over the months her condition slowly deteriorated. I give every credit to her carers, chef and nurses who made sure she was always
comfortable and pain-free. The food was specially cooked for her. Her room was spacious and kept clean.
