My father was a resident at Magnolia Court for over five years.
He was always looked after and as a family, we also felt supported by the team.
The staff knew him well and understood his temperament and needs.
The carers are amazing and we have the utmost respect for them and the work they do.

My husband was well cared for. He was able to relate to the staff even as his condition worsened over time. I felt they were loving, respectful, and capable.
The music therapy was most beneficial to my musical husband as were the activities as far as he was still able to participate. The feeling of
always having company and the generous facilities for family visits made me feel that indeed he was better off in Magnolia than as previously, at home.
Huge gratefulness to the staff - all of them, including kitchen staff, cleaners, and reception. The garden was a joy to all, resident's families, and visitors.

My sister was admitted as a temporary/respite resident following several months in hospital settings following serious falls resulting in fractures that left her virtually immobile and suffering from ongoing health problems. To compound the problems, her admission came shortly after the COVID 19 Lockdown
measures were announced, as both the NHS and Care Sector came under unprecedented pressure.
In spite of the challenges, the team at Magnolia were unfailingly helpful in arranging her admission, managing the required isolation and providing care and support during her stay. Staff directly involved in her care were very helpful in overcoming the difficulties in communication created by the Lockdown and sympathetic to my sister and to myself and others trying to maintain contact with her. The management team were helpful in relation to all medical and nursing matters and particularly so in arranging her final transfer to a long-term place in another nursing home in spite of COVID 19 problems.

Lovely, warm and caring staff.
The activities team are great with plenty of activities available.
Staff went above and beyond to help my family and I stayed in touch with my aunt during her last few days, which were during the pandemic. As a family we appreciated video calls with her, allowing us
to see and speak to each other.
Would highly recommend Magnolia.

The team at Magnolia Court were without exception warm, helpful and compassionate. I took an elderly relative I care for there for respite at short notice. The team were so helpful. My relative had a really good stay and if or when we need to do this again, we would try to come back to Magnolia.

This home is very well run by the manager and her staff, who maintain a friendly but professional atmosphere. They are very welcoming to visitors and helpful when the needs of residents require discussing.
The home has been built some years ago, so that the rooms are rather small and lack ensuite showers.
However,
major modernisation would involve loss od a number of rooms and probably make the home not viable economically. The staff manage this limitation very well.

My mother has been a resident at Magnolia Court for almost two years with advanced stage dementia with Lewy Bodies. She requires full care.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Even though my mother cannot communicate and is immobile, she is treated with warmth, dignity and affection, gentleness
and consideration for her every possible need.


Returning from 5 days in hospital with a chest infection was like coming home; my mother was welcomed and she settled back into her own bed with relief. I, myself, look forward to visiting and spending time - the friendly, inviting atmosphere and high level of competency give absolute confidence in the care residents receive.


The gardens are beautiful, the food superb, residents' own rooms and the dining room and lounges are elegant. We feel incredibly lucky that mum has had her end of life in contentment and love at Magnolia Court.

My husband came to Magnolia Court with advanced bladder cancer. He was looked after very well by very caring staff. The management was excellent and immediately dealt with any problems which we identified. All the staff were very friendly and willing, from the kitchen staff to the cleaners to the nurses.

My dear friend and former mentor needs memory care at this time in his life. He is an extremely dignified gentleman with a long and illustrious career. The care that he is receiving is superb. The staff are extremely professional in their care of all residents. The atmosphere is pleasant and all residents
are treated with patience, respect and dignity from everyone on staff from nurses, aids, meal service, cleaning to administrative staff. What an amazing place!

My wife has been at Magnolia Court for 18 months. She is well cared for and I am able to visit her most days. The staff are amazing. The management is fine. The cost is high but represents value for money. It is a great help that the NHS bears more than half of the cost.

From my first visit to Magnolia Court Care Home, I found the care home itself, spotless and well kept. the atmosphere and staff (all members) were warm friendly and very caring. There was constant activities, meetings and events that included family as well as relatives. Information was up to date and
displayed throughout the building. It is a pleasure to visit my Mother here as I am confident she is receiving the best of treatment. Staff keep us updated and involved in all matters.

Magnolia is a very friendly, clean and buzzing with life nursing home.
Residents and staff are one big family. There is compassion, understanding and help.
Especially in the critical situations when residents and their families need to be comforted when the grief and distress need to be eased.

My aunt-in-law was in Magnolia Court (Barchester Care Home) for nearly six years until she passed away peacefully aged 91. Throughout her stay we had no significant complaints: she was well cared for and comfortable, and the staff were always kind and gentle to her. It is a pleasant care home with high

With almost two decades of experience behind me, beginning as a volunteer in the emergency services, to working my way as a trauma paramedic and registered nurse until eventually working in management, I am lucky to be able to share my wealth of knowledge with the team during my time here.

I have been working at Magnolia Court since 2013. I started as an Adult Registered Nurse which led to an opportunity to be a Unit Lead for our Memory Lane dementia community.

I also enjoy giving my input in ways of leading the home toward providing an excellent service, enriching the lives of those who live here and those who work here too.

Hello, I am Jacqueline and I joined the Magnolia Court Team in November 2024 as Head Chef.


I qualified as a chef at Hammersmith college in 1999. I had a love for cooking since I was a child, my siblings and I helped our mum in the kitchen and as we grew up and took it in turns to cook to help our mum who was a nurse.


During my career as a Chef I have cooked at a number of wonderful and interesting places such the BBC, Westminster Council and The Royal ballet. I had the pleasure of cooking for Darcy Bussell, The Lord Mayors and Princess Margaret.


I love cooking as it enables me to be creative and make people happy at the same time. I was inspired by my mum and always wanted to cook with in health care. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know residents. It makes me very happy to see the delight and enjoyment my food brings to people.
