All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Working very well with my father. The home is very clean, organised and well looked after. My father looks well and all residents are very smart.

My husband has settled in very well. Staff are very helpful and amenities are very good.

My cousin arrived in February distressed and ill. The care that the staff have given her changed her, she has put on weight, is clean and content as possible.
They manage her well and are caring in attitude to her and the family members.

After visiting my mother at various times of the day, I invariably found her engaged, clean, occupied in group activities. She is helped to eat if needed. The staff are engaging and my mum recognises the familiar faces.
I have found all the facilities top class and always accessible. The lounge is
handy for family visits and meal times can be shared with her.

Magnolia Court is a quite outstanding care home. My husband has dementia and has been a resident in Magnolia Court for nearly six years - so has been through a large number of 'phases', from hyperactivity to his present state of complete immobility and inability to communicate with the outside world.
At every stage, the staff at Magnolia Court have treated him with care, respect and compassion - and as I visit every day, I have watched them treat the other residents with exactly the same combination of warmth and understanding. Many institutions say in their mission statement that they respect and honour the humanity of their residents - but Magnolia Court actually puts this into practice, day in and day out, from top to bottom. This has been consistent through staff changes, management changes and refurbishment of the building. I don't know how they do it - but it has made what could have been a deeply painful experience into a part of life's rich pattern. Ten out of ten!

As a family member of a resident, I have visited her at Magnolia Court a number of times and I am so impressed with the warm and welcoming attention of all the staff.

I only have 3 weeks experience but have found the care home welcoming, friendly and well run. All staff ready to help and listen to concerns. Food generally very good. More one to one time for residents would be an advantage but I recognise this is down to staffing levels. A very nice birthday party
was organised for my resident.

I am a resident after a hip operation for three weeks. The care and attention from all the staff have been excellent. Every little detail I've asked for has been dealt with kindness and more than I could ask for. The general manager has done everything for my stay to make me happy and comfortable.

I am writing to thank all the staff and management of Magnolia Court on behalf of my mother. We needed a home for my mother to stay in and be looked after during the period while her home was redecorated and renovated. The staff were excellent, loving and care. Day to day care and the attention to
her needs were excellent. Whenever I visited my mother, I noticed how much she enjoyed her stay at the home. The management was very accommodating and flexible to our needs and specific requirements.


We would definitely use the home again if needed.

I am writing on behalf of my Aunt to very highly commend the Activities Team. This culminated in the “multi-birthday” party for all the residents with birthdays in November.


Not only was there attention to detail in the planning but the care & support that they showed (and always do) to each resident

(& family member) to make EVERYONE feel special & included is remarkable.


Nothing is too much trouble & they seem to be able to unite the whole team (including nurses/carers; kitchen team and reception) to all contribute (including to the dancing and celebrating!) which is a great attribute for them to have and makes us feel very special, like a big family. I believe this is important as it is the residents’ home & this family/homely atmosphere created gives a boost to the residents’ morale & keeps their spirits high.


We really appreciate the hard work that is put into the breadth & variety of the entertainments that they arrange & recommend them highly.

Overall, as a Caring Community of Staff, you really prioritise ensuring that the residents’ do experience a family atmosphere which is conducive to their well-being and we believe they feel very safe and stable with the healthy routine at Magnolia.

With almost two decades of experience behind me, beginning as a volunteer in the emergency services, to working my way as a trauma paramedic and registered nurse until eventually working in management, I am lucky to be able to share my wealth of knowledge with the team during my time here.


I’m thrilled to be supporting a great team, and I am grateful for their steadfast support. I’m looking forward to working together with the mutual goal of supporting and enriching the lives of the residents here.

I have been working at Magnolia Court since 2013. I started as an Adult Registered Nurse which led to an opportunity to be a Unit Lead for our Memory Lane dementia community.


This allows me to apply my nursing and management experience, caring for our residents and staff in all departments, giving me satisfaction with the support I am able to provide.


I also enjoy giving my input in ways of leading the home toward providing an excellent service, enriching the lives of those who live here and those who work here too.


Aside from work, I play the guitar, support Tottenham Hotspur Football Team and enjoy walking my pug whose name is 'Pon', every day, which is a great comfort to me.

I qualified as a chef at Hammersmith college in 1999. I had a love for cooking since I was a child, my siblings and I helped our mum in the kitchen and as we grew up and took it in turns to cook to help our mum who was a nurse.


During my career as a Chef I have cooked at a number of wonderful and interesting places such the BBC, Westminster Council and The Royal ballet. I had the pleasure of cooking for Darcy Bussell, The Lord Mayors and Princess Margaret.


I love cooking as it enables me to be creative and make people happy at the same time. I was inspired by my mum and always wanted to cook with in health care. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know residents. It makes me very happy to see the delight and enjoyment my food brings to people.
