Nairn House is a purpose-built home in Enfield that warmly welcomes people with a range of residential and nursing care needs, including palliative and Parkinson's care.

They’re there when you and your loved ones need them most. For planned respite or last-minute trips. A safe space to recover after an operation. To experience what their home’s like before moving long-term. To just relax. Whatever the reason, their doors are open.

Nairn House is set within pleasant grounds and situated close to local amenities such as shops and a bus route. Accommodation features furnished en suite bedrooms with views of the gardens and each room has a 24-hour call system.

Meals are varied to suit individual tastes and diet and prepared daily by the in-house chef. They also talk to each resident about their likes, dislikes and any special dietary needs when they move in. That way, their food is cooked just right. A Night Bite menu is also available for out of hours snacks and refreshments.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. Dedicated activity coordinators help ensure residents are able to pursue their hobbies and interests, as well as organising a range of activities which include bingo, quizzes, flower arranging and music sessions, there is so much for residents to enjoy. Regular trips to the seaside are also enjoyed as are shopping trips and themed monthly events.

My aunt is well cared for and treated with respect. I am able to review her care online whenever I wish. If I have any concerns I am treated with courtesy and concerns are addressed. My aunt is content.

Attended Fete today. Activities lady was amazing and entertainment very good for all ages. Also food was excellent. Lovely to meet up with everyone.

My mother came to Nairn House initially for respite care but she liked it so much she wanted to stay permanently. The staff were so kind, caring and helpful. We were able to visit whenever necessary and were informed of Mum's progress. She was very content, peaceful and calm throughout her last day
which was a massive relief to us all.

Nairn House had their Summer Fete over the weekend. A big thanks to the manager and the team for putting on a well-prepared event. There was a band, a magician and lots of lovely food, along with a raffle at the end.
My mother was well looked after and they even had Jamaican food for her to enjoy so
a massive thanks to the catering team. A real effort was made by all staff to get residence involved. Even for those who could not make the main room the Magician visited their private rooms to show them some magic tricks.

My father moved to Nairn house in May and with the support of staff, he has settled in well. Staff are polite and welcoming spend time getting to know him and the activities he enjoys and will encourage him to attend these activities to ensure that he receives stimulation and has the opportunity to
socialise with others. Can't praise the staff enough for their hard work, compassion and dedication.

The staff are always pleasant and caring. I recently had an issue that I was not happy with (this is the first time I have had to complain about anything). The manager contacted me immediately, she arranged to meet with me very quickly. We discussed my concerns. The manager took it all very seriously
and dealt with my issue. All the staff were made aware of my concerns. I was very happy with the response.

I would just like to say that all the team at Nairn House have been so helpful to my partner, and to us as a family. It took me a long time to trust my partner with anyone other than myself, our two sons also did not want anyone looking after their dad, but once we got to know the team, from nursing
to housekeeping, all the staff here in Nairn House Care Home have been our Angels and for that we are so grateful. They look after my partner so well and listen to his needs. Well done.

Mum has had a difficult year with many different placements. She has been her most settled and happy in Nairn House. It is clean with good food and daily activities. The staff are so, so kind and attentive. This is the most important thing for us. They take time to chat with her as well as the general
caring.

My mum was placed in Nairn House Care Home late 2023. From the start, communication was bad, I don't know whether it was due to staff shortages or the ones that were there were overworked. It was constant going and knocking on the door, trying to get someone to come to see Mum or to get information
from them. On changeover of staff, they seem not to have any information. Mum got bed sores and no one noticed. Most of the staff were lovely. The home was kept clean and tidy.

Dad is very comfortable and well looked after, the activities are inclusive of his disabilities and he enjoys the social aspect. The nursing team are always available, kind and dutiful, really a testament to the organisation.

My sister found it very difficult at first, just wanting to go home. I found the staff to be unfailingly kind and patient and she is gradually settling. I love the way I can pop in to see her whenever I have time and am always made to feel welcome. Her room is bright and pleasant and the whole place
seems very clean. The activities provided are very important to give stimulation and interest to a long day. My sister is encouraged to take part and socialise a bit. She is infirm so I wonder if some physio could be provided to help her muscle tone. She enjoys all her food which is appetising and well presented.

Big letdowns are the rooms. Heating was at best erratic. Mum's window didn't shut, terrible draught, needs replacing. Ensuites are much to too small, not enough space for an elderly person capable of washing herself. The building badly needs refurbishment.
Big plus, the staff, well trained, polite
and caring, very impressive. Let down by the building.

The Black History event was excellent. Many varieties of food, music and a little dancing. many family members attended. Great display of Caribbean food, flags and memorabilia.

We attended a Black History Month event at the home. This was my first visit, especially enjoyed the Steel Pan performers and music. Excellent event, well attended by family friends and visitors. Well done to the activity team for all their hard work.

The staff have been very accommodating, they communicate very well and the surroundings are clean. There are no odours when you enter the building which is very refreshing and most importantly, the staff appear to be very caring.

I'm extremely happy my mother is a resident at Nairn House. The staff work hard every day and help keep the residents feel safe and cared for. I'm also impressed with the entertainment coordinator, who goes above and beyond to ensure the residents enjoy the different activities she provides. She is

My brother, who has had a life-changing stroke, has been at Nairn House since June. The staff are exceptional. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble and the nursing on the first floor is second to none. The patience and kindness they show to my brother is excellent. All of the staff smile and say hello
and the ladies on reception always greet you with a broad smile. As I live abroad, my brother's daily care is paramount to me, but on a recent visit I know I needn't worry and that he is in good hands. The home itself is very welcoming and spotlessly clean. It also has a small garden where the residents can sit. Overall, I am extremely content for my brother.
