I would like to say thank you very much to all employees of this nursing home. Professional staff who treated my father with empathy and made him feel very special. My father was a bedridden person who needed daily help with eating, drinking, toileting etc. Huge sacrifice of the nursing home staff,
they are treating residents and their families friendly and respectably. I never ever had any concerns about the care that my father had received. I am very grateful to all of them. Thank you.

My father is cared for so well here and I have complete peace of mind knowing he is being looked after by the manager and the team.
They treat my dad with compassion and dignity and have supported my family throughout difficult times.
They have gone out of their way to arrange family celebrations
at the home so that my dad can still be a part of special occasions.
I would highly recommend this care home and thank you to all of the staff.

Vera Liubchivschi

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2017

Our team is headed up by Chandra Uwins- the Group Operations Manager who has been part of the Team for over twenty years and Vera Liubchivschi, who has been in the care industry for over ten years. She joined Orchard House and Lodore Nursing Homes in 2017 as a Registered Nurse and became the Home Manager in 2024.


Vera is also a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist.


Both, Chandra and Vera, strive to ensure the effective delivery of holistic person-centred care in a safe environment in accordance with CQC standards. They lead by example and work with a dedicated team to provide high standards of care in a homely and happy environment. They have always maintained good relationships with the local authority and Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group.
