Granny is looked after excellently at Barchester Wimbledon Beaumont Care Home. The staff are friendly, fun and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much of an ask, and they are constantly offering tea and biscuits to residents and visitors alike.
Granny is treated with the care and respect that she deserves.

I have been a resident since Sept 2019 and find Wimbledon Beaumont to be very comfortable. The food is always excellent whether served on a tray due to COVID or gradually reopening for mobile residents to use the dining room. The carers are excellent and the nursing staff both day and night are good.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for temporary or permanent care.

My father was admitted to the Beaumont Care home in Wimbledon when he was unwell and could not confidently look after himself at home. This was a very stressful time for me and my family, however, from the moment my father arrived, he was surrounded by wonderful nurses and carers who could not have
done any more to help me and help him. He was so so happy at the Home and I will forever be grateful for their managing the situation (a short, intense illness) with such experience, care and compassion. In his last few days, the Beaumont nurses and carers knew exactly what to do which I will always be immensely grateful for. Thank you Wimbledon Beaumont for being there for my father.

A place that I felt at ease from day one, and every visit thereafter.
Welcome for visitors, hospitality, space and comfort to be with our mother in a 'home from home'.
Compassionate, patient staff; communicating with residents/visitors with professionalism and authenticity.
Hospitality; care in
the creation of appealing, tasty food and drink, whilst trying to meet individual needs.
Social life, part of a group; opportunity to know other residents (communal areas, weekly activities). The dining room is central to this as people sit together, with menu choices, served by friendly staff, (feels familiar in a social context), visitors are able to join in with acceptance/minimal fuss.
Social; a variety of well-thought-through blended, creative and stimulating activities; choices for residents - not so much what doing, but it together so builds morale and potential for friendship.
Whole experience; choices of mental/physical stimulation, social and group connection and physical space for solitude or personal endeavour.
The Beaumont is like living; (as opposed to waiting), my mum was comfortable in many ways - she would have been happy there for longer.
The Beaumont is a home; resident live together with support, and it does not feel formulaic.

Due to lockdown this review is based on mostly how my dad seems to be, under the extra strange circumstances on top of what must have been strange for him anyway. All things considered, he seems to be pretty close to happy, and I'm absolutely certain we chose the right care home.

I appreciated that the home welcomed friends and family to visit whenever they wanted. I saw that my mother-in-law was happy there, she was always paying compliments to the place, her room, how it looked, the food and the people. Although not able to fully participate in all activities, she enjoyed
the stimulation she had of being with other residents. The activities coordinator and head of the care team always gave her very caring and tender attention. The home also were aware that she liked to look good and had a good, friendly and attentive hairdresser and ensured she was properly made up each day. Often I stayed with her when she ate, I noticed the care of the team in presenting and serving the food and in the attention they gave to each of the residents who had difficulties. The food was extremely good and my mother in law enjoyed a glass of wine with her meal. The change of management from the previous year certainly improved the attitude of the staff and the care and love given.

My gratitude to Wimbledon Beaumont has increased during these difficult times. My mother has been a resident at the home for three years. She was recently admitted to hospital for three weeks. Following her discharge the manager and her team have done so much to rehabilitate her and build up her strength
despite the pressures of time and resources as a result of the coronavirus. An excellent home shows its true colours even more during tough times and this is exactly what the Beaumont has done. Spotlessly clean and with staff who are dedicated and capable I am confident that my mother is in the best place for her physical and emotional needs. The team around her are attentive and caring and despite being unable to visit I am kept informed of my mother's progress and receive regular updates from the head nurse. A big thank you to one and all at this excellent home.

My mother lived for some years in the assisted living flats associated with the Wimbledon Beaumont care home. For the last few weeks of her life, she was cared for in the home itself.
These arrangements worked very well for her and for our family. We were always impressed by the courtesy and friendliness
of the caring staff and the prompt and helpful involvement of the manager and support staff. Towards the end of her life, my mother was looked after with genuine compassion and sympathy by an outstanding and dedicated team of carers.
I recommend the Wimbledon Beaumont as providing a highly professional and effective service but most importantly a real feeling of home to its residents.

We have huge respect for the job that Wimbledon Beaumonts team have done over the past year. My mother is a resident and the care and kindness that is given by the whole team is such reassurance for us as a family. We have always been greeted with a smile and welcome on arrival. The leadership is also
one that we value, as behind every good team is a great leader and that is also evident. The communication over the past eighteen months has significantly improved and even in this challenging time with world events dominating the news and care homes having a significantly difficult time, we feel reassured that Mum is well cared for.

Aunty was in the care home for 14 months it took her a couple of months to settle but soon thought of it as home. She enjoyed the food which was varied, in suitable portions and served in the lovely dining room or in her room. Good range of activities including poetry sessions, slow yoga and art class.
All staff very friendly and welcoming. Carers often sat with aunty for a chat which she loved. Pleasant sunny garden with several benches to sit on. She was well cared for generally and especially when she was unwell. Always kept family informed. They (staff) were genuinely upset when she died.

Since arriving in Wimbledon Beaumont Care Home five months ago my 91-year-old mother's well-being has improved significantly. She is much stronger physically, much less anxious and intellectually sharper. This is all due to the outstanding care she has received here. The kindness and thoughtfulness

My Mother was in Wimbledon Beaumont for two years. The care and love she received were always so good and the food excellent. The home went through a period of uncertain, even poor management, that led to staff shortages, but in the last year, a new manager came and has done a great deal to improve
the morale of the staff, which in turn, was reflected in the love and care my Mother received, right up to the end of her life.

We have been so happy with our choice of Wimbledon Beaumont as the care home for our parents. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by carers, nurses, maintenance staff and management who all knew our names. Nothing was too much trouble to make our parents feel at home; from hanging their
paintings on the wall to helping us organise their room.
The staff have proved to be extremely competent, friendly, caring and so patient. The nursing and care staff are thorough in their observations and record-keeping and the home GP is excellent. The food is excellent, the facilities are clean and modern and there is a good range of activities on offer from trained staff which are inclusive and fun.
We can't rate Wimbledon Beaumont highly enough.

I would like to clarify my rating of poor. Carers, seniors, cleaners, handyman and entertainment excellent and certainly enhanced my 14 days. Nurses No. For three days I requested a nurse, dedicated carers were my messengers. It was only on the third day through the intervention of a friend that a nurse
appeared. I shudder to think what my mental state would have been if my friend did not advocate. I found it humiliating to do so much chasing. I had had such high hopes of entering the Beaumont.

My name is Khushkaran. I am the General Manager here at Wimbledon Beaumont. Myself and my team look forward to welcoming you into our home.


I began my nursing journey in India and moved to the UK in 2002. Starting my career as a care assistant, I completed the Overseas Nurse Program, obtained my PIN number, and began practising as a registered nurse.


My passion for elderly care led me to join a nursing home in 2004, where I progressed through various roles, from nurse to senior nurse, then unit manager, clinical lead, deputy manager, care services manager, and eventually General Manager.


I love my job and am deeply committed to both my residents and staff. I firmly believe that happy staff create a positive environment for residents, which is my top priority. Every day is an opportunity for me to learn and improve my leadership skills, helping me provide the best care and support to those in need.

My responsibilities are to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all residents and staff is paramount, the requirements are up to date in the home and that the home and the equipment within is well presented and well looked after to a high standard.

My name is Julie and I have been working here at Wimbledon Beaumont for more than 8 years. I was promoted from Housekeeper to Care Assistant then to Activities Coordinator.
I am passionate about my job and love my role within the Activities Team. I also love gardening and singing; I am creative and enjoy coordinating our activities to include Exercise, Tai Chi, and Yoga.

I have worked at Wimbledon Beaumont Care Community for seven and half years


I love my job.  I started here as a Carer and worked my way up to a Senior Carer. I am also a 'Dignity' champion, a 'Dementia' champion and a 'Speak Up' champion


I look forward to coming to work each day and I enjoy working with our wonderful team. I am a great team player but also enjoy and have the ability to work on my own.
