I am given the freedom to come and go as I please and the staff respect my independence but help with tasks I have difficulty with.

I am disappointed to read the comment on answering of call bells and I shall be discussing this comment with Matron and staff. The nurse call system produces electronic records which are reviewed regularly to ensure that the well being of residents is not compromised.

My passion for elderly care led me to join a nursing home in 2004, where I progressed through various roles, from nurse to senior nurse, then unit manager, clinical lead, deputy manager, care services manager, and eventually General Manager.
I love my job and am deeply committed to both my residents and staff. I firmly believe that happy staff create a positive environment for residents, which is my top priority.
