The Home is fully Compliant with the Care Quality Commission Regulations and have the facilities to care for both nursing and residential clients to suit a variety of individual needs. Provides both long and short term care including post operative care.

- Our mother arrived at Priscilla Wakefield House from hospital where she was a patient for 6 weeks hardly speaking, eating, walking or socialising.
- Over the 5 week assessment stay on Copperfield, mum has greatly improved due to the superb caring and professionalism of all the nurses, carers, regular
activities and making friends with other residents.

My mother spent just under 2 weeks in Priscilla Wakefield House, she was 96 and in the later stages of Alzheimer's: sadly she passed away earlier this week.


All the staff I had contact with were lovely, genuine, dedicated people, coping with dementia patients is not an easy thing to do and I admired

their thorough professionalism and duty to care. It has been reassuring to know at the end of her life, my mother was in such good hands.

A lovely, caring and modern home. My father is cared for as he would be at home with care, compassion, respect and dignity. There is nothing negative I can say. The staff are all amazing. I have no worries about my father even if I can't get there each say, I know he will be cared for with the same
love me and my family would give.

My brother has been in Priscilla since December 2017, he needs nursing care he has Parkinsons Disease with lots of other problems mental issues etc. I find the staff and management very caring and my brother is mostly relaxed with them. The food is very good and he enjoys it he needs to be fed by spoon
staff are very very busy at meal times but they do this best. He is always clean and presentable.

Friendly atmosphere in the residence. Quite homely for the independent residents. Regular activities for those able to partake. My mother in law was at two residential homes in another borough and I rate Priscilla Wakefield as far better.

Priscilla Wakefield House is a good place to be looked after. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful to the residents. Sometimes there is a shortage of staff (carers). It is important for the residents to have a full-time staff because their needs are non-stop around the clock. The place is
clean, they do a lot of activities, I must congratulate the staff in the office who create all sorts of activities. My general opinion for Priscilla Wakefield House is positive. We thank you for taking care of the relatives. You do your best.

Staff and coordinators need to be more focused on the care of its residents than other excellent factors. Also, nurses need to be more considerate towards the elderly and actually do their duties that they are legally required to do. A lot of complaints and arguments have had an outcome of a better
care plan in place, situation good for now but more training is needed for staff.

My mother has been a resident at PWH (Priscilla Wakefield House) since 2012 and sadly passed away in Dec 2106. I wanted to formally thank the staff at the home for their kindness support and genuine care that they have provided. She had been a challenging resident at times and the staff dealt with her
with dignity, respect and most of all her best interest at heart. This had continued throughout and even in her extreme decline, staff who have known her still continued to visit even just to say hello. We really felt that the staff have provided our family with a first rate service and it has eased our pain with the knowledge that she was in a safe pair of hands. This had extended until the end, her last few days the staff looked after all the family and she died peacefully. We commend the staff at PWH, with recognition given to all employees for providing care as it should be given, these have been difficult times for family and friends but rest assured we have been blessed.

My father came to live at Priscilla Wakefield House this month and I have been extremely happy with the care provided so far. The staff are friendly and they are very caring not just my dad but towards my family as a whole. I am really happy with the quality and the standards.

My mom has been a resident on the residential unit at Priscilla Wakefield since February 2016. She sadly died in December, but the care at this nursing home was exceptional. Staff were always willing to please and went the extra mile. I can remember many times when I came and saw staff communicating
with her and they were always in her room and cheering her up as she was often in a low mood due to her condition. The activities team at Priscilla are second to none. They make such an effort to engage with the residents and involve the community. I must say that the care and the management is responsive and I am happy to have found a nursing home like this one for my mom.

I am writing to recommend this nursing home for its exceptional care given to my dad. My dad is a current resident of this home and since he was admitted in June 2016, he has improved tremendously in terms of his mobility and his speech and this is all due to the care he receives at the nursing home.
The carers work hard but they always find the time for him and the unit leaders always give me feedback when there are issues relating to my dad's care. No doubt there are some occasions where thing can go wrong but they are quick to sort them out and I am confident in their ability to do this. I am happy with the care and I would recommend this home to anyone needing care.

I have been visiting my sister at this home since 2013 as she was admitted to a nursing unit at this home. I have seen such immense improvements over these years and how well the teams are working when they have good leadership. I have always been offered refreshments when I enter reception and the
receptionists always greet me with a smile. When I enter the unit, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The team are always quick to respond to things going on and they are always supportive of my sister and makes her feel at home. I wouldn't have chosen a better care home.

The standard of care provided fell below adequate that one should expect.
Gaining access to your loved one is difficult due to security and not enough staff on duty, on one occasion stuck in the corridors for 30 minutes.

The resident left our accommodation over 9 months ago and a lot of improvements have been made to advance the End of Life care being given to the residents here including embarking on an End of Life programme called Gold Standards Framework and we have had many 'thank you cards' and 'feedback' about the exceptional care being given at End of Life for residents since this event.
