Queens Court is based in the heart of Wimbledon SW19. This unique city boutique care home is located in a residential street just minutes away from the train, tube and tram service. Easily located beside the newly rebranded Wimbledon Quarter, Queens Court offers person centred care to those who require respite, convalescence, dementia and nursing care.

Staff are well trained in Dementia Care, up to date clinical courses and the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care. The home always has qualified nurses on duty as well as senior care staff. There is a ‘getting to know you’ booklet and the team know residents very well. They provide exceptional personalised care and offer a range of activities to meet everyone’s likes. A retained GP visits every week or when required.

The team ensures that the residents feel comfortable, maintaining their independence and ensuring they feel as active as possible. The Activity Co-coordinator organises amazing and interesting events and outings in the minibus. These activities are part of the package of care.

The Head Chef and his team ensures that seasonal menu in the Courtyard Restaurant and room service is of the highest standard and quality. The produce is fresh and they are trained to provide the required textures if required.

The spacious, contemporary interiors all have Wi-Fi access and are conducive to relaxation and create a feeling of relaxation and homeliness. Some bedrooms have their own patio space, all have flat screen televisions provided and can accommodate personal furniture and pictures.

Queens Court also features extra services such as physiotherapy and a visiting beautician.

The staff and carers at Queens Court are amazing - so kind, caring and patient. Visitors are treated royally - always offered refreshments/homemade cake. The home has a lovely atmosphere and is spotless in every way. I would recommend Queens Court to anyone who wants five-star treatment.

Staff really look after my mother very well.

This was Mum's second respite stay at Queens Court after a bad fall. Both Mum and I received such a warm welcome from the lovely staff, and Mum felt immediately at home. The progress she made over her month-long stay was amazing - the care she received was terrific and helped her rest and get back her

I have nothing but praise for Barchester Queens Court Care Home, for the professional and caring approach that they have shown towards my godfather who needed to find supported residential care at short notice. My dearest friend spent the last few years of his life at Queens Court, and neither he nor I could have wished for a better place. All members of staff were dedicated and compassionate, going over and above to make his stay the best positive experience. Trips and activities are endless and were always
very much enjoyed. Visitors are always made welcome. Having lunched there, I can testify the food is exceptional. Communication between myself and Queens Court was ongoing, and I was always kept informed and updated. The website doesn't do it justice; it's the perfect place to be.

I have been trying to think of some aspect of this care home to rate at (4) to make this review more plausible - but we have been so pleased with the care here that I have to rate it all generally at (5) stars! Moving someone 96-years-old into a new home is likely to be difficult, but moving my mother
has been an uplifting experience so far, with a very noticeable improvement in her appearance, lucidity and general well-being. The welcome from everyone in the home has been most encouraging - and the overall decidedly positive.

My father has had exceptionally high care for four and a half years at Barchester Queens Court Care Home before, during and now coming through the Covid pandemic. The manager and staff are excellent and did an amazing job to protect the residents early in the pandemic, creating the visiting suite and
new ways of communicating that worked for him then. As he has gradually deteriorated the problems that plague the home with the lift never being replaced but continually breaking down & repaired (with parts taking longer thanks to Brexit regulations) factored into occasional failed visits. Now we can visit him in the bedroom it's almost back to the old 'normal' with splendid kindness, tea/ coffee & home made cakes & biscuits. With the relaxing of restrictions it was inevitable that asymptomatic covid has been found and this is no reflection on the standards staff keep.

My dear sister helped us choose Queens Court some 5 years ago, whilst still able. After careful research and visits. While my sister's condition has declined over time we remain deeply grateful to the entire administration and staff at Queens Court. All residents are patiently cared for with great dignity.
It is comforting for us living abroad to know that she is in such good care.

The staff are informative and helpful and there is a very professional connection between the carers, my husband receiving the care, family and friends. Every effort is made to make the experience positive and pleasant. The residents' food is first class indicated via a written menu with choices and
the cup of tea and cake offered to visitors are much appreciated. When my daughter came from New Zealand we were given a 3-course meal for the three of us and were treated like royalty with full waitress service! It was a memorable experience! The trips and indoor activities are invaluable to maintaining normality and interest. Any concerns are noted and acted upon and any outside communication via the telephone is very straightforward.

The quality of service offered is excellent in all ways, especially the care offered by very dedicated staff. When our resident entered the care home she was quite frail, her dementia was getting worse and was not eating very well. Within a month there was a notable change in her physical condition
and most importantly her attitude. She has become more active and happy with her current state of life. Thank you.

It is a huge decision to move your parent/loved one into a care home and we were faced with the dilemma in February. When we visited Queens Court we immediately liked it. Dad has been a resident at the home for 3 weeks now. I have been very impressed by all the staff. They are always warm, friendly
and helpful. Dad is enjoying the food, is well cared for and even going out on a few trips. I can return to New Zealand knowing my dad is in safe hands. Thank you.

The standard of care is thorough, competent and caring. The staff get to know the residents and their specific needs. Communication is generally good but there are times when actions are not carried out or are misunderstood. I have not always been informed of medical problems or external visits by medical
practitioners. Since Covid began we have regularly been kept waiting outside the care home even though we had a timed appointment. We appreciate that we are offered tea and coffee but sometimes the request gets lost.

The staff teamwork and support with my husband's hospital visits and communication about health needs has been wonderful, as has the way communication about his needs is appropriately shared. My husband's complex needs are challenging, but the great reassurance is that any particular difficulty can
be raised and discussed with confidence. It is a joy to see the way in which senior staff happily support any staff under stress, and join in basic activities, encouraging the real team spirit. The hospitality team are always responsive and smiling and bring my husband a real sense of being cared about. Maintenance staff do an excellent job and share in support. The welcome for visitors remains exceptional. The bigger room for my husband has made a difference to all, residents, family and staff alike. I was so grateful that while I was away for a few days staff faithfully delivered the cards left for him to have one each day.

My mother recently celebrated her 90th birthday, and I cannot thank the manager and the wonderful team at Queens Court enough for doing everything possible to help my mother recognise this big milestone and make the day really special for her. Chef cooked a delicious victorian sponge cake, which my
mother enjoyed sharing with her fellow resident and the staff. I can safely say that my mother celebrated the occasion in style, and I know the events of the day will live long in her memory.

My mum came to stay with you for two weeks of respite care following a stay in hospital. She was quite weak and needed looking after by professionals for a short while.
Sadly you had problems with your lift and so all the daytime activities did not always happen. She did enjoy a day trip out and the
food was of an excellent standard. When she came home she was in much better health. Many thanks.

I joined Barchester Healthcare in 1998. Before that, I worked in the NHS where I developed my passion - Caring for Older People. After I qualified as an RGN, I continued to develop my career by studying BSc in Nursing Studies, a Diploma in Orthopaedics and an MSc in Health Sciences.


The team and I are committed to ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. This is working with evidence-based practices or projects like nutrition, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and life story work and we advocate the Whole Home Approach Model. We are proud to have consistently achieved good reports and reviews from those who know us. This is a very happy home and you are very welcome to visit us.

I qualified as the first Care Practitioner at Queens Court Barchester Health Care. This is a relatively new role and is very exciting. I support the nurses and contribute to the provision and monitoring of the care of our residents. I am also the training and induction champion for the home.

Job Title: Register General Nurse - Dementia Champion

My role as the Dementia Care Champion is pivotal within a Memory Lane Community. Dementia Care Champions receive additional training for the Dementia Care Team and act as coaches within our home. As the Dementia Care Champion for Queens Court. I also work closely with a Dementia Care Specialist to ensure that good Dementia care is being maintained and that any potential 'issues' have a quick resolution.

My role as Continence Champion is to provide support in all areas required to meet the needs of the person experiencing incontinence. It covers assessment, physical support, advice and access to appropriate equipment and supplies, such as incontinence pads.

I am Tisha Patel. I am an Activities Assistant.


I love being a part of the Activities Team so that I can make some contribution to making resident's life and daily living better by giving them Namaste Therapy because of my interest in making residents happy.


My role is to give the therapy to the residents. The therapy involves welcoming them, hand massage, head massage, relaxation exercise, breathing exercise, nail care, hydration, sense of touch, sense of flavour, reminiscence, and relaxing in the therapy room with diffusor on with the relaxing essential oils.
