Queens Court is based in the heart of Wimbledon SW19. This unique city boutique care home is located in a residential street just minutes away from the train, tube and tram service. Easily located beside the newly rebranded Wimbledon Quarter, Queens Court offers person centred care to those who require respite, convalescence, dementia and nursing care.

Staff are well trained in Dementia Care, up to date clinical courses and the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care. The home always has qualified nurses on duty as well as senior care staff. There is a ‘getting to know you’ booklet and the team know residents very well. They provide exceptional personalised care and offer a range of activities to meet everyone’s likes. A retained GP visits every week or when required.

The team ensures that the residents feel comfortable, maintaining their independence and ensuring they feel as active as possible. The Activity Co-coordinator organises amazing and interesting events and outings in the minibus. These activities are part of the package of care.

The Head Chef and his team ensures that seasonal menu in the Courtyard Restaurant and room service is of the highest standard and quality. The produce is fresh and they are trained to provide the required textures if required.

The spacious, contemporary interiors all have Wi-Fi access and are conducive to relaxation and create a feeling of relaxation and homeliness. Some bedrooms have their own patio space, all have flat screen televisions provided and can accommodate personal furniture and pictures.

Queens Court also features extra services such as physiotherapy and a visiting beautician.

Queens Court is described as a boutique care home and it is indeed beautifully furnished and decorated. But more importantly, than this is the care that the home provides. The staff are kind and caring. Everyone is greeted with a smile and by name, visitors included. Nothing seems too much trouble.
The whole atmosphere is one of a large family. To be recommended.

I have spent a very pleasant month here, my son and daughter wanted to ho have a complete rest and to be looked after and Barchester Queens Court Care Home have certainly given me that. The staff are very caring and always cheerful and smiling. The food is excellent and when I have been too tired to
go downstairs for a meal they always bring up my meal and say "nothing is too much trouble" I have been very happy here and again I must say the staff are wonderful.

I have been here for about 5 weeks, I have a terminal diagnosis. The staff here are exceptional and do everything to make my life here as comfortable as possible. I am not sure I have recovered from the shock of my diagnosis but could not have found a better care home.

Such a lovely care home! Very warm and welcoming staff every time I go to visit my grandma. The reception lady is very kind. They are extremely covid safe, making sure you do a lateral flow before entering and full PPE to keep the residents safe which is very reassuring.

My husband, after a year at Queens Court, appears to be quite settled and happy with his surroundings. He enjoys my visits in the garden now that the weather is fine and I think that he would enjoy some of the outside trips that are being planned. The staff are, as usual, very kind and helpful - in
spite of the extra workload that they have to cope with, due to the Covid testing, etc.

Our family were overall very impressed; staff were always wonderful, friendly as well as competent, and we were particularly struck by the resourceful management through the covid lockdowns. Care was mostly excellent but could fail in moments of crisis. A bad case of cellulitis was misdiagnosed both
in-house and by the local GP. Both the GPs we encountered has poor bedside manner and left our mother unhappy with their competence. While our mother could be combative with the senior staff, this was sometimes very poorly handled in-house; a bizarre threat of expulsion left our mother feeling scared and vulnerable. It was not always easy to discuss such matters with management. Letters, emails and iPhone calls were not invariably responded to. We were pleased that new activities (such as classical music concerts and visits to local schools) were uncomplicatedly added to the schedule. The food was remarkably good - we, and even our mother were very impressed by the photo with a celebrity chef. The staff went out of their way to be friendly, interested and affectionate, going above and beyond. We owe them a great deal.

We got to know each other very well in the 9 years that your mother has been with us and you are right that your mother enjoyed certain activities which we were pleased to add to our social programme. She also enjoyed getting to know the staff and she was always interested in them. I am sorry to hear that your emails, letters and iPhone messages were not responded to but you know she loved her Zoom meetings, chats and parties. She really enjoyed how this technology kept her up to date with her family.

I visit my friend and am happy about her care. She appears to be content although she is not really talking now which is distressing for me. The staff are all very kind and patient and gentle with her and she is usually dressed quite well. Her hair needs attention quite often.

All the team are so kind and professional. Care is dignified, respectful, and expert. Food is goods and activities imaginative. Very good visiting arrangements in COVID times. After seeing how well his grandparents were looked after my son wants to put a down payment for a room for me.

Three of our friends have been residents at Queens Court. Two of them have now gone on to meet their maker. From our very first visit, we were impressed by the high standard of care and attention to detail given to each resident. The provision across the board is five stars. As regular visitors, we
are made to feel part of the family. We are invited to decision making meetings and kept constantly informed of our friend's wellbeing.

I joined Barchester Healthcare in 1998. Before that, I worked in the NHS where I developed my passion - Caring for Older People. After I qualified as an RGN, I continued to develop my career by studying BSc in Nursing Studies, a Diploma in Orthopaedics and an MSc in Health Sciences.


The team and I are committed to ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. This is working with evidence-based practices or projects like nutrition, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and life story work and we advocate the Whole Home Approach Model. We are proud to have consistently achieved good reports and reviews from those who know us. This is a very happy home and you are very welcome to visit us.

I love being a part of the Activities Team so that I can make some contribution to making resident's life and daily living better by giving them Namaste Therapy because of my interest in making residents happy.


My role is to give the therapy to the residents. The therapy involves welcoming them, hand massage, head massage, relaxation exercise, breathing exercise, nail care, hydration, sense of touch, sense of flavour, reminiscence, and relaxing in the therapy room with diffusor on with the relaxing essential oils.
