The lady I visit seems to be very well cared for by all the staff who are friendly and caring towards her. There are always plenty of staff around who are helpful and friendly when we visit. My judgment is based on a monthly visit. I am a friend of the lady I visit.

Southborough is a warm and friendly home, the minute you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile. If you have a problem, the Manager's door is open and ready to listen. The care staff and domestics are very approachable, friendly and helpful. They are very caring and professional to the residents,
building lovely bonds of friendship and deliver excellent care. The activities provided to service users are great and the staff aim to include everyone. My mother-in-law says she feels safe, comfortable and her dignity is well-maintained.

Entrusting my sister's care to a nursing home was a very difficult decision. The Southborough Nursing Home were wonderful from day one. A very tough day for me and my sister but the management, nursing staff, carers and other staff all rallied around to welcome us both and make us feel assured. My sister
didn't settle well but with the help of the staff and the event's manager, she has started to enjoy the many things the home has to offer. Days out to the seaside, London and local parks. Lunches in the Southborough garden and making friends with others in the home. It is never a happy path having to place a loved one into a nursing home but the Southborough has made such a transition so much easier.

Excellent management, support and guidance to assist my father's relocation to the care home. Staff provide the right level of care needs for my father and work beyond to provide a comfortable living environment for my father. Nurses follow medical procedures without fail and ensure all medical needs
are addressed timely. The care home is in need of upgrade/refurbishment to keep a modern and refreshed appearance.

The care home is welcoming and presentable but can do with some refurbishment. The staff and management are friendly and supportive. The food quality and variety can be improved. The rooms and furniture need a definite upgrade. The nurse's station should have a dedicated space.

Today my friend and I visited Fulham Palace with other residents from Southborough. Despite dreadful weather, cobblestones, and restricted corridors we had a wonderful time! The staff were so kind and thoughtful. Smiling despite some difficult situations, always positive and encouraging. This was a

When my sister first went to Southborough five years ago, she was on the brink of death through not eating and drinking. She also had a gaping hole of a wound on her lower back that you could put your fist through! The wonderful nursing care my dear sister received at Southborough nursed her back to
life, the wound healed and she had five more happy years at Southborough. My sister was always saying to me, “I love it here and I really mean it”. She was well looked after, with lovely meals made by the chef, they have activities set out each week of each month. The staff celebrate every possible occasion by decorating the lounge. The residents play games, dance, if able, singing, painting, entertainment is laid in most weeks with singers and musicians. They make a fuss on birthdays with Birthday cakes.
Most importantly you are notified of any concerns about your relative.
I highly recommend this nursing home for your loved one, you can relax knowing they are in safe hands.

I'm overwhelmed by the standard of care given to my mother. She came here in an agitated state after five weeks in the hospital and had bad experiences in her previous care home. Mum is now calm and contended. She is no longer fearful, and her delusions have subsided. Thank you for all your kindness

Warm and friendly regular staff and nurses who take their role responsibly and with pride. A well-decorated happy home with a lovely garden and a great menu. Southborough always seems to be looking at ways to improve by actively asking and listening to residents and relatives. Events and activities

I am delighted at my appointment as a Home Manager at Southborough Nursing Home. I’ve been within the care industry for 12 years, in which I have managed a nursing home with nursing and Dementia care. I did my nursing in India and completed my BSC Hons in Nursing from Surrey University at Guilford. I enjoy my role as a Home Manager and enjoy the fact that I am able to influence a difference to enhance the lives of the individuals who we are privileged to care for. I am always available and happy to help with the smooth running of all the departments at Southborough Nursing Home. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and meeting you in the near future.


On a personal level, I am married and have two wonderful girls named Manit and Seerat. I enjoy spending time with my family and my two daughters.

My name is Constantin Zidaru, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Deputy Manager here at Southborough Nursing Home, part of the Future Care Group. It is a true honour to join such a dynamic team, and I am eager to contribute my skills and experiences to our collective success.


A bit about my background: I bring over 14 years of experience in Health and Social Care within Care homes. In my previous roles, I've had the opportunity to work as a Deputy Manager alongside experts in safeguarding, nurse practitioners, and individuals with extensive experience in managing care homes. These experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in supporting vulnerable adults while also facilitating the support and development of staff.


As Deputy Manager, I am committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where each team member feels empowered to excel. I believe in the power of communication, transparency, and teamwork to overcome challenges and achieve our goals. As Deputy Manager, my priority is to ensure that every decision we make revolves around the well-being and happiness of our residents and enhance their quality of life. I am able to recognise the importance of family and community in the lives of our residents. Therefore, it is essential to have collaboration and open communication with families, as well as engagement with the wider community, which enriches the care experience.


On a personal level, I was born in Romania, I came to the UK in 2009 and I became a British Citizen in 2021. I have three children and my hobbies are photography and technology. I have two degrees, one in management economics and one in adult nursing (the nursing degree was obtained in the UK at Brighton University).

I am grateful for my role as Lifestyle Lead at Southborough Nursing Home, part of the Future Care Group. I love interacting with the residents – adding some positive energy and joy to their day is a gratifying experience. As part of my role, I create fun activities for our residents with music, and movements and constantly seek to add something new to our activity calendar with their input. Seeing them smile and being part of moments where they share a lovely thought or reminisce about their lives has been wonderful and makes me think of the words “Love what you do, and you never work a day in your life”.


I may sing for one resident, dance with another and laugh loud with a third and have a deep conversation with another – a potpourri of a day – and I get to be myself through it all, which is the best part! I love being in the moment with them and strive to treasure special memories on camera to be shared with families and on social media! My role involves making special occasions memorable and fun for the residents, and this is not possible without the support of the wonderful team here at Southborough Nursing Home, which is what makes this a great place to work – everyone cares!
