The Sidcup offers nursing and residential care, both long-term and short stay care.

The home is a purpose-built with modern comforts and conveniences. It prides itself on its warm and homely environment where residents can relax and feel safe inside the home and in the gardens. All bedrooms have en suite facilities and are furnished to a high standard.

The home consists of two floors, with dining rooms and lounges on each floor. The home also benefits from its own cinema lounge, large well- maintained gardens, its own hairdressing salon, and private lounge, ideal for family events and celebrations. The home has visiting professionals such as physiotherapists and chiropodists.

As an enhanced service to residents, weekly GP visits are conducted at The Sidcup Care Home, enabling residents to receive regular, personalised medical reviews as part of their approach to person-centred care.

At mealtimes a wide range of nutritious dishes are offered, always made with fresh ingredients. Residents’ dietary needs and personal preferences are always taken into account by the chef. The chef will visit residents to make tailored menus if necessary. There are regular tea rounds throughout the day with fresh cakes after lunch.

As well as regular, organised activities such as quizzes, bingo, film afternoons, board games and arts and crafts sessions, trips out to local places of interest, visiting entertainers and pantomimes, as well as tai chi and holistic massage and aromatherapy.

On the 15th of March, I hosted a family gathering here, which was unforgettable for both my guests and myself. The plan was for a buffet lunch and this proved to be superb. The lounge was suitably decorated by housekeeping staff and attracted many favourable comments from guests. This all contributed
to a very memorable occasion and guests seeking diary dates for the next one!! All of this was overseen by the activities team and to them and the other staff involved, my thanks and those of my guests.

My father had Parkinsons and was on palliative care in hospital before being moved to Sidcup Nursing Home. He was always kept peaceful and comfortable. Staff came in to check on him and talk to him. Staff called his wife by her first name, and let her know about any concerns before she had to ask; afternoon
tea was provided to his many visitors. When he died he was treated with great dignity, and we were helped to contact a doctor and funeral home. It made a difficult time so much more positive.

The staff at 'The Sidcup' Home were all very friendly and helpful - particularly at reception desks. My mother appeared to receive good care and her mobility was much improved after the two week's respite care following her falls. The areas which she felt could be improved were: 1 - She complained of
numerous men wandering around the corridors who were not patients and felt very anxious at times because of this. 2 - Not as 'peaceful' as she'd hoped. 3 - Food was plentiful but often not very warm.

My friend only spent a week here but in that time he received such good care and nursing. All the staff I met, clinical, admin and housekeeping were professional and friendly. We were treated with respect and compassion by everyone. It is reassuring when you can leave a loved one and feel they are in
safe hands. The home itself is modern and well maintained with a lovely garden and the ambience is very warm and welcoming.

From first point of contact ie reception and management to my fathers care everybody has been so kind and so professional. I was able to go on holiday leaving my Dad in safe hands, all the staff are so happy and caring. The care home is absolutly spotless and my Dads room was super. My dad loved his
stay there and its so nice to have that as a respite option. A wonderful experience for my Dad and myself a big thank you to all the team.

My dad spent 16 months at The Sidcup Care Home before passing away in November. We took a long time to choose the right facility as we wanted to ensure my dad had the best. From the time my dad was admitted we knew we had made the right choice. Most importantly my dad felt safe and considered his lovely
room his home and trust me my dad would have been vocal had he been unhappy. My dad was treated like family with dignity, respect and as an individual. Two members of night staff, made it easy for us to go home at night knowing that my dad was in the amazing hands and would cared for like we would care for him. I cannot emphasise enough how amazing the night staff were, they felt like extended family due to the kindness and compassion they showed not only to my dad but us, we will be eternally grateful to them for their exceptional caring and kindness. I want to thank everyone for the care provided to my dad during his stay.

I was only here for a week of convalescence following a hernia operation. I am grateful for the high level of care I received and the kindness of all the staff.
If the occasion arose, I would certainly like to come back here to be looked after.

I loved The Sidcup place and I was very fond of the garden where I spent many hours sunbathing.
The facility for me in a wheelchair was excellent and the staff was ever so friendly and polite.

My Dad arrived at The Sidcup Care Home 18 months ago. All the staff, from reception, cleaners, management, chefs, activity ladies, carers, and nurses are so friendly, caring, and kind.
Dad is well looked after and is very happy here. Dad recently celebrated his 100th Birthday. The activity ladies
decorated the dining room beautifully and the chef made a lovely cake and organised food for Dad's very special celebration with family and friends. An excellent care home that we are so lucky to have found.

I have had a very pleasant experience here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing has been too much trouble. The food has, for the most part, been good and my room and the public rooms are always clean. The staff also work hard to entertain the residents with an activity every afternoon for

I was welcomed in a friendly manner by the secretarial staff and daily staff attendants. Direction to dining rooms, lounge and events were explained and encourgaed. Advanced meal options adequate and variety of food good. A good experience during my 2 week stay due to a fall at home requiring treatment
at hospital and whilst my family were on holiday.

My wife spent 2 and a half weeks in Sidcup Care Home and she received such great care from the staff. I could tell from the cleanliness of the room and bed that all was good. And my wife had clean clothes on every day too. The staff from management down were very kind to me as well.

Excellent communication on admission. Staff polite, pleasant, informative. Care provision, Mum's needs were very well catered for. Food good, many choices. Alternatives provided. Senior carers knowledge of conditions, medications and action taken when Mum was unwell was excellent. Entertainment team:
very patient, variety of entertainments and all residents encouraged to take part.

I cannot praise The Sidcup Care Home enough. Excellent leadership, great carers who really looked after my dear mum. They genuinely care and are very compassionate and kind. They were always happy to answer questions and responded very positively to requests we had. They tried so hard to help with my
mum's food too. Kitchen staff, cleaning staff excellent. Ten out of ten!
