Wilsmere House Care Home has 86 beds which has four individual communities within the home that provides person-centred nursing, dementia care to older people and provide specialised care for adults with life-long physical conditions. Wilsmere House Care Home is conveniently located close to train and underground stations, the nursing care home is within easy reach of public transport and facilities. Wilsmere House Care Home do provide Respite Care .

The home offers a number of facilities, including a large gym, in-house physiotherapy, a hairdressing salon and a low-level kitchen ,Conservatory with patio area and a caffe providing refreshments throughout the day . Wilsmere House Care Home also has beautiful gardens with patios and tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms. The home has free wifi throughout the home .

Residents are offered flexibility around mealtimes and special dietary requirements are catered for. The home offers an extensive activities programme where residents can pursue hobbies and interests. The home has two minibuses and residents go out every week either to the local shopping centre , garden centres , Parks and attending weekly community meetings .

My daughter is happy in Wilsmere House and that is enough for me.
I, as a parent, need to know that my daughter is safe, happy and comfortable when I am not around and I have found this to be the case over the years.

My brother has been a service user at the Willsmere Care Home for nearly 3 years. I have no major concerns in regard to how the care home is run. However, I was concerned at the lack of communication from staff when the fire alarm went off a few weeks ago. There were no clear procedures in place in
regards to where visitors should go or evacuation of service users. I believe there should be routine procedures placed in each room.

My Grandmother was a resident at Wilsmere for over three years. Generally, her care was good. She had some excellent care given by some although not all, as with many care homes, staff come and go and some people are not interested in the people. It is very important, especially with dementia that good
relationships are formed.
The management staff varied. Some more committed than others. Overall a good experience, with good nursing care.

My good friend was a resident at Wilsmere House Care Home since December 2015. Sadly, he passed away this month. He received the best care possible. The staff were very professional, kind and patient. Nothing was too much for them. They were always respectful and very attached to the needs of the residents,
sometimes during very challenging episodes. I cannot but praise the care my friend received while a resident at Wilsmere House.

My mother was cared for well and looked after well.
The arrangement for the G.P. was good and the G.P. looked after her well as well.
Especially I appreciate the nurse in charge and all the other nurses who cared and gave her medication in time.
All the supporting staff and others are very kind and
treated and cared for my mother well.
Managers and assistant managers and all the management team are good and provided a great service to my mother.
Overall the service is great. The building is very neat and clean.

My uncle was at the behest of various care homes until Wilsmere agreed they were happy to accommodate him. The was the best decision as we found the level of care and attention was excellent.
The staff were a delight and I have no complaints.

As an advocate, it is very important for me to have an open and supportive relationship with the home. I find the care manager and staff very open to feedback and put into action my recommendations to improve the quality of care. I find the care to be kind and very sensitive to the needs of the residents.
Of course, they can always improve in dementia knowledge in the interest of residents but overall, I would recommend this home!!

My husband has LBD and Parkinsons and went into Wilsmere House at the end of July and sadly passed away on the 15th of October.
He had the best care possible and the staff were always kind and helpful, not only to him but to us, his family. In fact, they all became like our own family.
The only negative
thing is that the staff were extremely overworked and there were not enough to them to do this wonderful and needed job. I would certainly recommend this care home.

Some of the establishments I worked at are 5-star Hotels, Fine Dining Restaurants and Luxury Senior Living Homes. I’m a very inspirational, detail-oriented, Disciplined and Creative Chef. I always try to create a positive environment in and around my Kitchen. I pride myself on preparing high-quality food and what makes me very happy is to see our residents enjoy the dishes that my team and I create.


Our hospitality team are committed to providing seasonal home-cooked menus offering choice, nutrition and quality- including exciting menus to specific individual dietary needs and all appetites. We celebrate every one of our resident’s Birthday and my Kitchen team prepare homemade decorated cakes for their Birthday. The beautiful warm smile that our residents give when we present the Birthday cake is our greatest inspiration.


The food we produce is hugely important to our residents which is why it is absolutely imperative that we always get their feedback and continuously meet the needs and nutritional quota of every single resident who chooses to make Wilsmere Home Care Home.
