    If your admission to the care home is assessed as requiring nursing care, you may be entitled to funding by the NHS. This is called NHS Funded Nursing Care Contribution (FNC) and is a contribution made by the NHS towards supporting the provision of registered nursing care to eligible care home residents. The payment is made directly by the NHS to the care home where the nursing care is being provided, and the Resident does not receive any money directly.

The care provided to my aunt by the nursing staff at Coloma Court over the 7 years or so that she was there, was outstanding. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the administration at their head office. In fact it has been the exact opposite. Since my aunt passed away in January this year my several
phone calls to resolve the situation regarding an outstanding invoice have all been ignored.

Mum has been cared for with compassion, respect and genuine kindness ever since she arrived at Coloma Court in October 2017. The carers, nurses, admin staff, cleaners and kitchen staff have all been fabulous, making this feel like a real friendly and happy home. Every one of mum's needs has been met
without delay and action has been taken to ensure she has all the help needed.
The building is so clean, always has a pleasant smell and the staff are as welcoming to visitors as they are caring for the residents.
I have worked in the Health Service all my adult life and I can say, without a doubt that I cannot imagine a nicer place for my lovely mum to be.

I expect a high standard of care as I was a college trained nursery nurse which included a short spell at St Thomas hospital to cover newborn babies.
I mostly get their care her at Coloma Court though there is often the odd carer one doesn't always get on with. Also, I have excellent hearing so of
course other residents t.v's or radio's can be tiresome.

Before I came to Coloma Court, I previously worked for one of the biggest care providers for 11 years, Healthcare Management trust offers not-for-profit health and social services, giving back to the community whilst ensuring the service provided in their care homes and hospital services is of high quality.


I am dedicated to providing person-centred care for older people whilst ensuring they remain as independent as possible, each one is an individual, who deserves to be treated as such, and with the utmost dignity and respect.


I love to work with staff who are passionate about what they do, and from what I have seen so far everyone is very caring and supportive of the residents and relatives in the home.


Moving forward we have lots of new initiatives taking place such as the work we do with St Christophers Hospice, Local authority activity forum, life histories as well as lots of training for staff to give them motivation and enhance their skills.
