New Meppershall care home came under new management in June 2015, and they have been absolutely delighted with the response to their re-launch of the home and the launch of their cutting-edge, purpose-built dementia wing.

Each resident has the luxury of living in a newly refurbished building with delightful landscaped gardens nestled in the beautiful countryside. New Meppershall is a wonderful, tranquil building set in a truly unique environment.

It has been carefully refurbished to the highest standards and residents can look forward to the very best care, in the most peaceful of surroundings.

Very modern and spacious care home. Both of my parents are well looked after. Mum is totally dependent on care for everything including eating and drinking. She is treated with the utmost respect and staff are always willing to spend time with her and make her smile. Dad is well looked after but still
tries to be a little too independent. He is at risk of falling and staff are very aware of this and keep a close eye on him. I feel totally confident with the care they both receive. As I live quite a distance away it is comforting to know they are both being looked after so well. I find all staff, carers, nurses, cleaners and office staff very approachable and willing to help. Nothing is too much trouble.

The nursing and overall care my mother is receiving at New Meppershall is exemplary. The staff are totally professional, friendly, warm and truly caring.


My mum now feels not only very comfortable but completely safe with the right level of nursing she requires for her condition. Her room and the

facilities are superb and visitors are made to feel very welcome too. We could not have found a better safe haven for her.

After viewing a number of care homes we were relieved to find Meppershall, it was clean and bright, the decor and furniture is refreshingly modern. The staff are friendly and are very interactive with their residents family and friends. They should also pride themselves on their activities, so much
thought goes into the resident's needs and likes. Dad was terrified on his first day (heartbreaking) but the next day I found him sitting in the lounge relaxed and smiling - I was amazed - and from that day forward he never mentioned leaving or going home which proved he felt safe. They took great care of his personal hygiene and well-being, they would contact me immediately with any concerns. If I had any issues or wanted any changes with Dads care it would be actioned without delay. They were so supportive to the family when Dad moved from Dementia to Nursing. I will be forever grateful for the care, attention, love and kindness the staff gave my Dad and also for the support they gave us. Thank You.

My mum is so happy and content and the care she receives is fantastic. The care staff are so friendly and welcoming and always there if Mum needs anything. The activities the care home provides are so varied and there is always something for everyone. My mum is so comfortable and never wants for anything.
I couldn't wish for anything more for my mum, they look after her so well.
The home always involves family in activities, they also keep me well informed about Mums care and health. If you're looking for a care home, Meppershall has got to be first choice it is clean fresh and welcoming and all the staff make time for a chat with you.
It really is home from home.

Meppershall Nursing Home was home for my Father for 18 months before he died at the age of 97. His time there was a happy and contented one with outstanding care from everyone that he came in contact with. Without the care and support from staff, his family would have struggled immensely as putting
our Dad in a home was not an easy decision and one we tried to avoid. The staff were very friendly and work very hard. Looking after someone with dementia is not an easy job and all the staff were patient and understanding of the needs our Dad had. We will always be truly grateful.

Lovely surroundings and very homely atmosphere. Extremely clean and well maintained. The ensuite room was modern and clean and nicely decorated.
Friendly and caring staff, always tried to accommodate requests and spent a lot of time helping to resolve issues related to medication and follow up after
my father's hospital transfer.
Food was good too, I would certainly stay here myself!

Home is well kept with a very friendly atmosphere. Staff have time for everyone, relatives as well as residents. Mum is always up and dressed whenever I visit. She is well looked after and is comfortable in her surroundings. I am kept very well informed of any problems and what needs to be done. I
do not have any worries as Mum is in very good hands.

My mother spent 8 nights respite care at Meppershall, at short notice. Pre-stay assessment at home and all comms were excellent, even more impressive given such short notice! Upon arrival of the home, we were greeted by the manager of the dementia unit and immediately put at ease. Escorted upstairs
via lift and my mother and myself offered refreshments and tour of room. Met other staff and residents.
On each visit the staff to resident ratio was high and staff were always engaged with residents in activities. All areas were spotlessly clean and snacks always placed around.
Security levels very high. Staff all extremely friendly. Meppershall Home is more for longer term residents and my experience of my mother's short stay would lend me to recommend to anybody.

Very impressed with the staff and home. My mother was very poorly in care, but I found staff very professional, caring and vigilant. When my Mum was in pain, the staff were quick to arrange a doctor and in one case hospital check. She had nice, roomy accommodation and 'loved the sunny' lounge and balcony
as well as the mess room. She wasn't eating much but food seemed good, staff were gently coaxing her to drink little and often.
When she passed, carers and management were excellent, they couldn't do enough and though they were always professional some were genuinely upset at Mum's passing. My experience - comfortable, secure, well-run facility, with some excellent, professional, genuinely caring staff.

My mother became a resident at the New Mappershall care home in March 2015. After visiting homes to decide where she should go I was overjoyed to find this home which is modern, clean and so well equipped to care for its residents. Since moving in I have had complete piece of mind (given that I live
a long way away and I am the only relative) that my mother receives the best possible care. The staff are friendly, well qualified and can't do enough to help the patients. In addition they extend the same care and professionalism to us as relatives. Cant recommend this home highly enough. A genuine gem!
