We are continuing to implement some exciting wellbeing opportunities to enhance the life of the residents we provide care to and we are working with our Wellbeing Activities Team to ensure that any person who is unable to leave their room is provided with support and input each and every day. We continue to encourage friends and relatives to take part in a variety of activities and to provide any feedback they may have during their visits to the home.

Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as this helps us improve our service. We are very sorry for the upset this matter has caused you. Having spoken with you, we have agreed your son will have carer support to assist him with his dental hygiene needs twice daily. This will be documented to ensure compliance. We do encourage residents to be as independent as is possible but of course, we realise that support from our staff is needed where required. Please do not hesitate to liaise with home management should you encounter any further concerns, we are more than happy to help and aim to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your recent positive feedback regarding the staff and care shown to Residents. Following our discussion, I confirm that we are identifying areas that require painting and decorating and general maintenance issues. We now have a full maintenance team with a plan of works to improve the neglected areas and have requested contractors to assist with the gardens. Replacement equipment has been ordered for Residents. Please feel free to speak to me regarding any future issues.

Home Manager at Capwell Grange, Luton
What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Nicky has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Nicky has been a Care Home Manager for 14 years and will be involved in the general running of the home as well as ensuring all the Residents are safe, happy and are given the best care possible. She will provide a safe work environment for colleagues and ensure they have the skills and abilities to care for all our Residents.
Having lived in Luton for most of her life, Nicky works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Capwell Grange.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Nicky remarked:
“Supporting a team to improve quality of care and achieve positive outcomes for those that reside in the Care Home.”
Outside of work, Nicky enjoys walking her dog, caring for her grandchildren and she is also a fan of reading fictional crime books.
