Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Thank you very much for taking the time to submit your feedback for Larkland House. I’m very sorry to hear about some of the issues you have raised and have passed your comments onto the laundry team – however, I am pleased to say that last week we did recruit a new team member in this department and you should not have any problems in future. In regards to activities, we understand at Care UK we know how important these are to residents’ daily life in the home, helping them to stay active and engaged. We do have two activity coordinators in the home currently and I’m happy to say we are currently recruiting for an activity coordinator to cover Saturday and Sunday as well - we will, of course, let residents and their families know as soon as they are in post. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for activities you’d like added to the weekly plans at Larkland House, of course just let us know and we will do our best to include these. We’re grateful for your feedback and are delighted with the positive comments regarding the care at Larkland House. In regards to the parking at the home, we do realise that this can be difficult at busy times and, although there are further spaces to the rear of the home, that these are not disabled bays, so would not be suitable for all our visitors or residents. We are currently investigating possible solutions as to whether an additional disabled parking bay can be added to the front of the home, and as soon as we know more about this or any other developments at the home we will pass this on. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your feedback and kind words, and of course please do contact the home manager or any other members of the senior team at the home if there is anything else we can help with now or in the future.

Job Title: Home Manager
I believe that being a Home Manager is about creating a warm environment, not only for residents but also for those who work in the home or visit.
I joined Care UK because I appreciate their culture and ethos of supporting residents to live fulfilling lives.
Ensuring compliance is at the forefront of my work at Larkland House is an important part of my role, but I also like to be involved in the day-to-day lives of the residents and team. Seeing their smiling faces gives me a big sense of achievement.
If the team are happy, this reflects on the residents. I’m proud to work with incredible people who want to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s fantastic when this hard work is recognised. In a previous role, I won awards for Manager of the Year and Dementia Team of the Year.
Outside of work, I love to travel with my husband. Travelling is very important to us. Family is equally important, and any spare time is spent with my granddaughter.
