Although my sister in law has only been in the home since May myself, my husband and the rest of the family are very pleased with the care that are sister gets. The nurses, carers and the rest of the staff are so caring, polite and very welcoming to us when we visit. Nothing is to much trouble. We are
so pleased with everything that she gets.

My sister has been a resident at Queen's Court for about four years. The staff are all very kind and extremely caring. My sister is very happy here. Her every need is taken care of. The atmosphere is loving. I have found the care home to be welcoming, friendly and joyful. It is just like the best family
home. The manager is compassionate and very approachable. Her management team reflect her ethos. I could not find a better home for my dear sister. I wish to thank the manager and all her staff for the excellent care they give to all the residents.

Staff very friendly and food excellent. Very helpful and could not do enough for me. I knew my husband would find it hard being away from me and is not very communicative, but after a few hiccups, he was fine. He does find it hard to interact. Staff had to handle me being very deaf and I felt they did
very well.

After a recent illness, I have been obliged to pass responsibility for the care of my wife onto Queen's Court Care Home. Previously I had sought to follow her parents' request that I kept her in the manner to which she had been accustomed, latterly, I regret, she had had to become accustomed to the
manner in which I was able to keep her! Queen's Court have restored the status quo ante.
Management has recruited an incredibly caring staff, backed up by good nursing and readily available medical assistance when needed. Menus are good and varied; after twenty years of my cooking, my wife is in her seventh heaven! A good selection of drinks is regularly distributed and available on demand.
Family and friends have all commented on the loving care provided and been impressed by the attention given to any suggestions regarding my wife’s welfare. Floral gifts are taken by staff, nicely arranged in vases and displayed in my wife’s room.

The care of our mother has been very good indeed. The staff are attentive and consider the residents's wishes and choices. Lots of activities and residents can do as much or as little as they want. You could see that for many of the staff it’s not just a job but they really care about the residents.
Our mother's medical and physical care was very good. Facilities are good and everything was always well looked after. When our mother came to end of life, the staff could not have been more supportive. Would recommend.

Queens Court is a very friendly, caring home.
Being 200 miles away I find it a comfort to know that Mum is in good hands. Any queries or concerns that I may have are dealt with promptly and efficiently by the management.
The home manager holds regular relatives meetings on video calls to keep us
updated and newsletters highlight the themed activities and events scheduled at the home. They seem to celebrate everything! Wonderful!
Mum's room is bright, comfortable and clean and she is happy. Being bed-bound she can't get out to join the multitude of fun activities the home offers, but she is still included and it's great to see her grinning face on the social media page from time to time. The nursing level staff are lovely and keep us informed on Mum's health and help facilitate video calls when able.
It has been a difficult time for care homes but the current home manager and her team are doing a great job. We are very happy.

I am delighted that my Mom is now a permanent resident in Queen's Court. We believe Mom is in the right place where she is well looked after and loved for who she is. She was in a vulnerable position living alone in her flat - she was not at all safe - but now we know she is safe.
We are thankful
for all the love and kindness poured out into Mom which has helped her to settle quickly. We really value the staff and all they do. I am grateful for the nudge given to get Mom out of her room and to engage in the many and varied activities offered. The staff are cheerful and encouraging, the rooms and common areas bright and clean, the residents are friendly, the food is plentiful and varied and staff remember individual food preferences which is astounding considering the amount of work they must get through each day.
On the administrative side, we are kept updated; we enjoyed our first relatives zoom meeting together.
Queen's Court is home.

We have been very pleased by the way our mother has been welcomed into the home. The staff have been very welcoming and explain everything in detail. They are warm and friendly. The carers and nurses seem to be doing a professional job and are kind and considerate. The room is clean and smells good
and is comfortable. She has been able to bring lots of her own things. The food is tasty, well presented and good. The room is very noisy as it looks out onto a busy road. There are noises outside constantly from other people and bells ringing all the time. Nice garden space.

The staff are friendly and helpful, but seem to be quite stretched. Getting in and out of the home can be difficult for visitors. Communication from shift to shift could be improved. The food is good. The rooms are airy and bright and the temperature is well maintained.

I’d like to reassure you that we are fully staffed on the ground floor and allocate the staff according to the occupancy and needs of the residents. With regard to accessing the home, I’m afraid that due to security purposes, we are unable to share the front door code with visitors. It can take longer to open the door outside of normal office hours as the staff are busy caring for the residents on the suites. We do have a call bell on the door for visitors to ring and then wait for assistance, and I’m pleased to confirm that we have now recruited a receptionist, which will help to improve this service. With regards to staff handovers, I can confirm that we have a system in place where our team members communicate with each other before they start or finish their shifts to ensure they are fully up to speed on every resident. We do really appreciate your feedback and if you would like to discuss this further, I’d be more than happy to speak with you directly.

My mother is very happy at Queen's Court, and in her own words she says "they love me here". On her 100th/101st birthday, they put on parties with presents, balloons, music and a personalised cake. It was very much appreciated by our family. Activities are great fun with quizzes to stimulate the mind,
arts and crafts for dexterity and raffles and sales in the foyer. My mum especially loves the live music. Good food is also important and really looks forward to mealtimes.
The new manager is warm and caring, visiting the residents on a regular basis and going the extra mile if something is not right. This is the same for a lot of the carers, especially the long-term ones. Continuity of carers is important to my mum, when staff shortages occur, stress is put on the remaining staff, and the expert care usually provided suffers. Agency staff do not provide or meet the high expectations of the group.
From maintenance and laundry, right up to administration and management, the Queen's Court staff make it feel like home for my mum. Thank you.

Job Title: Home Manager

I’ve been part of the Care UK family for nearly 16 years now.


Previously I was a Home Manager at another Care UK home where I led the home to achieve an overall ‘Outstanding’ rating from our internal governance team. My career includes working as a registered nurse in my native Poland, and as a paramedic, and I’ve even trained with the Army.


I am passionate about creating an environment that supports the independence of residents with one clear goal in mind: providing the best care. I relish making residents happy and comfortable as well as supporting the team to do their best work. Teamwork is vital in a setting like this.
