A newly built care home set in spacious grounds in leafy Sindlesham in Berkshire, Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh Court provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia support.

The team can support up to 45 residents with permanent care or short stay respite breaks.

  • Our care fees for self-funded and local authority funded residents are subject to a preadmission needs assessment which is a requirement of admission, so the Home can fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. The prices quoted are weekly and for guidance only. They will be confirmed following a full assessment. Respite care may be offered and is usually 10% above the permanent care fees, subject to availability and will depend on an assessment of a person’s care needs.

Coming to a place which was unknown to me, I was shown the room I will be having and I was pleased.
The room is adequate, the view of the garden is lovely. The food is lovely, the staff really care about me.

My wife has been in the care home for just over six months and has always been treated with the utmost kindness and highest professional care.
All the staff through carers, nurses and administration have shown the highest respect not only to my wife but to me as well so we are both happy in our respective
way.
My observations above are based on the fact that I am here all day every day.

Very pleased with the care and respect of residents by all concerned. Any problems or niggles seem to be dealt with respectfully and diplomatically. Impressed with the contact between residents/family and the management of day to day issues as well as long-term plans. A good variety of activities are

Dad has lived here for 9 moths and it is a lovely place and very friendly with loads to do. Plenty arranged by activity staff. Really enjoyed watching bowls and dad looks forward to taking part each week. The grounds are very well kept. Dad and I like wandering around and seeing things in bloom.

Lord Harris Court is a very welcoming and caring home. The staff are hard working, very friendly, treating residents with dignity and respect. The staff work to ensure all the resident's needs are met, and are very attentive.

This care home is a very happy home. The staff are caring and helpful. We celebrate dates that refer to Great Britain and most of the holiday times which make a lot of fun. We are taken out quite often to local garden centres and at Christmas to a popular shopping centre.

My father has been at the home for eight months - throughout that time he has always been very well cared for. The staff are all very friendly and caring and shown a real interest in his welfare. The home run a wide variety of activities to stimulate the residents tailored to differing needs.

The home is well run, the care staff take the time to speak with residents, and everyone is treated with dignity. When there is a medical issue the resident is seen by an in-house nurse and then the doctor. If hospital treatment is needed then that will follow. The home has initiated local activities
with other care homes in the area in order to get best practice. I understand that there are no agency staff employed currently but there may be at weekends.

The caring nature and friendliness of all the staff in this home are unbelievable.
Their concern, respect and welfare of every resident is obviously a major priority.
The home is spotlessly clean and tidy. My charge is more than happy with the quality of food.
