This beautiful care & nursing home has been supporting the local community of Aylesbury for over 10 years, offering skilled and responsive nursing, residential and dementia care. Residents and their relatives value the Westgate Healthcare family ethos and warm relationships that Hampden Hall achieves.

All ensuite bedrooms are generously sized enabling residents to personalise them as they wish and providing staff with the space to safely support each resident as needed.

Residents have the choice of several charming living and dining areas in which to relax or socialise.

The facilities have been designed to enhance resident care and quality of life, as well as optimise cleanliness and help minimise the spread of any infections, this includes wood effect flooring, hand washing facilities in every room and hand gel dispensers throughout the home.

My dear late wife was in residence at Hampden Hall for about 21-months, March 2018 to early January 2020.
Her care was very good, and she was able to survive despite her worsening dementia.
I had every confidence in the staff and surroundings and feel that her last few months of life, were as comfortable
as possible, despite her circumstances.

This is a home unlike any other I have known. It is warm, inviting, hopeful and folks are so lucky to be there. The nursing staff are attentive 24/7, they are constantly watchful and always ready to attend to my husband's distress and fight his pain. As visitors, the cups of tea and kindness and sympathy
kept us sane. We loved everyone. I will book myself a room when I get ill.

Staff all made us welcome and helped with any concerns or worries.
My husband was encouraged to join in activities to assist in his wellbeing. He was treated with respect and dignity. He always had clean clothes and was helped to settle into the homes environment. He was used to being outdoors, so
it was a very different environment than he was used to.

The care given to my mother during all of her time here was fantastic, but during the last few weeks, it was really evident how much the staff go the extra mile.
The residents are treated like family, and I was so pleased that Mum was looked after so well.

Father had dementia and Hampden Hall was his home for over 3 years. The rooms are bright and clean. All the staff were caring, professional and friendly, recognising father's changing needs as his condition deteriorated. He was always clean and tidy.
As a family, we were kept informed and felt supported
by the compassionate staff, particularly through his last few days.

From the moment we were shown around the home by the housekeeper we knew this was the perfect place for my mother's care.
The facilities and staff were all good and some of the staff went that extra mile to ensure my mother's final days were with dignity and care.

From the moment we entered the building the care, support and love we received from the staff was amazing to say the least, above all expectations. I had a hip replacement in June and I care for my husband who has dementia, friends told me that I needed respite following op so I booked my husband and myself here for 3 weeks. Our mother was provided with the utmost care and compassion during her stay with you, albeit for only six weeks and one day. Our mother passed peacefully away here and we, her family, were dealt with in an extremely caring, sympathetic and compassionate way during the end of life care of our mother,
which was a very upsetting and distressing time for us, made more bearable by our wonderful staff. Thank you so very much indeed.

I found the care home to be open and friendly. Staff extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms are lovely and very well maintained. The nurses/care staff were always ready to talk and help as appropriate. The management is excellent. I would heartily recommend this care home.

My mother's end of life care could not have been handled with more compassion, sensitivity and kindness. The unit manager's compassion deserves special mention as it cannot be taught as it comes from within.

My father had severe dementia and was cared for at Hampden Hall Care Centre for the last two months of his life.
The care provided by the nurses and care staff was outstanding, they ensured Dad was always comfortable and kept clean and dry. They catered for his every need and this was done with the
utmost respect and dignity.
When Dad’s needs changed as he deteriorated, they responded swiftly and professionally. I did not have to worry at any time that his care needs were not being met. The care staff spent time with him – a must for individuals with dementia. Their understanding of the needs of residents with dementia is exceptional.
All the staff are friendly and approachable, they treated me with care and respect and made me feel a part of the team. I was constantly updated on Dad’s condition. When he died the care team were respectful and professional and showed real sensitivity and care for myself and my family.
I cannot recommend Hampden Hall Care Centre highly enough.

Staff were friendly. Care was poor. Rooms were dirty, also floor hallways. Whenever I visited, resident never had any clothes or wrong clothes.

Juliana Mensah

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2009

Juliana has worked with Westgate Healthcare since 2009, starting as a Unit Manager. Her work ethic, dedication and compassion led to a natural progression to Home Manager at our sister home, St Pauls. In 2021 Juliana became Home Manager at Hampden Hall and we are delighted to have her as part of the team.


Her passion for care and dedication to her residents make Juliana a wonderful asset to the team and she looks forward to leaving her mark at Hampden Hall.
