Catherine Court offers nursing, dementia and residential care for older people in an inclusive setting located in a peaceful residential area in High Wycombe.

The two-storey home is designed around a courtyard, and each bedroom is light and spacious, with en-suite facilities and all the furnishings residents need. Residents also benefit from lounges and dining rooms, an activity room, a sensory room and a quiet room.

The Lifestyle team ensures there’s always something happening at Catherine Court, with activities seven days a week. If a resident has a particular passion, they'll make sure they can indulge it. The chef-led catering team puts residents' favourite meals on the menu while also ensuring each individual receives the nutritional support they need.

My family and I would like to send our thanks and best wishes to the management and staff at Catherine Court Care Home. My father has Alzheimer's and his behaviour can be challenging at times but the staff deal with this admirably, showing empathy, patience and understanding. It is so reassuring to
know that his needs are being met and that he is safe.

Catherine Court Care Home is Mum’s second stay in a home following a prolonged stint in hospital. We have been really impressed by the improvement to Mum and must attribute at least some of this to the positive atmosphere at Catherine Court. The care workers are so friendly and incredibly helpful -
always ready with a smile and will find time to answer questions. They know Mum’s current medical position at all times and find time for games, all of which are both sociable and mentally engaging.
The family is impressed and pleased that Mum is in the right place.

The staff at Catherine Court Care Home are very caring.
My grandmother always looks clean, peaceful and happy. They remember to put her music on for her and her fan when required. The food always looks lovely and my grandmother seems to enjoy it. The staff always let us know of any concerns.

The care home is great, looks after my mum, does lots of activities, looks after and informs me if Mum has a fall or hurts herself. The main performance was clearly the support, kindness and attention the patient needed. The care and cleanliness of the patient were impeccable. The question of food, especially the help to choose, but also help in feeding the patient. The management was good at all times.

My mother has been in your home for approximately the last six months has been very well cared for she is very happy with all the carers and all the other staff.
There seems to be fewer carers at times.

I am very impressed with Catherine Lodge, and in particular, the staff. They interact and engage with my mother in a genuinely caring way, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The home is really well designed for those with dementia and has a lovely relaxed and welcoming feel. Much to my surprise
my mother has settled in very quickly and has even been getting involved in the regular activities. Catherine Court is obviously very well run and has lots of excellent and very well trained staff who really care.

My mother-in-law has stayed here before for respite care, she is now staying here indefinitely. We requested Catherine Court as everything is run professionally and the staff are very caring, kind and friendly. She has come on tremendously since being here.

This review covers a four-month period. Since both parents were admitted into a care home they have been very well looked after. The staff are extremely attentive and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble. A couple of small teething issues with night staff but the management dealt with the problem
very quickly. This care home is very friendly and our parents feel safe. A lot of effort and attention is placed on the daily activities to help keep minds active and young. We assessed four care homes before deciding on Catherine Court due to its friendly emphasis by management, entertainment, nursing and care staff. They have proved our selection right.

My uncle (aged 98) was only in Catherine Court for the four weeks prior to his death.
The overwhelming impression from the preliminary visit that my wife and I made to Catherine Court, and all subsequent visits to see my uncle, is of a well run, caring and friendly environment. Staff in the general
living rooms were all engaged with the residents, and all had a large smile on their face when you approached them. My uncle had a pleasant, pain-free, comfortable stay at Catherine Court for the last four weeks of his life.

The staff are kind and wonderful.


Catherine court is perfectly designed for Alzheimers’s, which my wife has. There is so much space for residents to be able to walk. Everybody from the receptionist to the cleaners

The caring staff are the backbone of this home. They always give their time and attention without hesitation. I have been working in the healthcare sector for over 20 years in the UK.


I have a nursing background in my home country, and I worked as a dental nurse and in leadership positions in dentistry for 15 years. Since 2018, I have worked in the care sector as a registered manager of residential and nursing homes. I decided to work for Care UK because it is an established care provider with a very good reputation that takes pride in its values and vision.


I have been a registered manager with the Care Quality Commission since 2010, and I am currently studying to obtain my BA (Hons) degree in Business and Management.


In a Home Manger role, a person should be very kind, caring, patient and nurturing towards all residents and colleagues. When I’m able to inspire others and reflect my kindness through everything I do, I feel proud of my role at Catherine Court.


My favourite part of the day is spending time interacting with the residents. I even participate in some of their daily activities and help the team whenever I can.


I have had many achievements throughout my career that I am proud of, however the highlight was when I managed to turn around a care home from being closed by CQC (rated Inadequate overall) to Good, in just six months.


When I’m not working, I absolutely love spending time with my cat, Alfie. I also like photography, reading, painting and travelling, and I have a keen interest in holistic therapies and spirituality.
