Barchester Chalfont Care Home is on the edge of Gerrards Cross Golf Course, just minutes from the pretty villages of Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Denham.

It sits in magnificent grounds with marvellous views across a picturesque lake and the fine fairways of the golf course; yet close to the M25, M40/A40.

The emphasis is on outstanding care, dignity and choice and how residents live their life.

There is an extensive activities programme, as well as their own music therapist, on-site physiotherapist, hairdresser manicurist and aromatherapist. They provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with dementia in the memory lane community.

My mother has been at Chalfont Lodge Care Home for 18 months and she is immensely happy here. The staff are very warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Mum is very well cared for and her day is filled with stimulating activities and social opportunities. I can highly recommend the home. It
is a place full of happiness and goodwill.

The staff at Chalfont Lodge Care Home could not have looked after my mother any better, she was very well cared for by all the staff. They were always friendly and cheerful and made my mother very happy to be at Chalfont. Well done to all the staff.

My experience is that the carers and staff are all extremely kind and caring to my aunt. She is clean, happy and so well looked after. Her room is clean and tidy. Everyone is helpful to our family and we are so happy we chose Barchester Chalfont Lodge Care Home to care for our aunt.

Thank goodness you are taking care of my dad. He has had a hard time in other places and really, you have rescued him. Hos one to one carers are strong, stable, quiet and kind and he likes them. Thanks very much indeed: I hope he will soon be able to participate in some of the enjoyable activities.
Living in Scotland, my mind is more at rest knowing my dad is here.

I attended the BBQ on Sunday, the food was beautiful and there was a good selection. The staff were very kind and attentive. You can see that they care about the residents. I can see that my grandad is very happy here. The entertainment could have been better. As a vocalist/performer myself, I wasn't
impressed with the lady who performed, unfortunately.

I visited an old friend of mine for the day who lives at Chalfont Lodge. I was blown away by how happy he is! To quote him 'It's like living in a Hotel!' He is not wrong! The staff were so attentive and so welcoming. We enjoyed a really lovely three-course lunch on the terrace and we were able to catch
up on old times. The food was superb and I certainly can see why my friend is so happy there! He told me how he spends his days, doing all sorts of activities and singing. He also said he has made some good friends and introduced me to some other residents. The grounds of the Home make this place very special. I am so glad my old friend is being so well looked after. Thank you.

My mum passed away in July after two of the most wonderful years at Barchester Chalfont Lodge Care Home. We were welcomed as a family from day one and made to feel like we were at home. I cannot fault Chalfont Lodge. From the wonderful staff to the services and extramural activities. The staff are angels
and prove that not all heroes wear capes or wings. Thank you everyone for taking such good care of my beloved mum. We, as a family, cannot thank everyone enough.

A very pleasant environment and room well-furnished with good quality and taste. Reception excellent. The administrator, in particular, day staff and catering are all good, some very good and empathetic. Physiotherapist excellent. Also, assistant first-class. Night staff generally a little more inefficient
mostly due to misunderstandings although one or two excellent.
All in all, a very enjoyable visit despite difficulties with pain management initially.
Returned home satisfied. Thank you.

I have been a resident at Barchester Chalfont Lodge Care Home for many years and that says a lot. The home has given me a 'home' over a long time, providing excellent care and a place of sanctuary. In each department, whether it be from cleaning to caring, all the staff are so polite, kind, helpful
and above all, extremely professional. The home is situated in such ideal surroundings and it is such a joy for me to be able to look out my window and have a view of nothing but greenery, flowers, trees and much wildlife. Also, to be able to be outside, relishing this and relaxing in the sun. Moments spent in the company of the other residents, building relationships, making friends is such a huge part of life here, which is so important for me and fundamental. Being involved with a wide range of activities gives me a lot of pleasure, joining a group or just watching is such fun. Above all, the home is managed extremely well and nothing is too much trouble, all my needs are met. All the staff are incredible.

A few weeks ago I decided, after reviewing other homes, that Chalfont Lodge was the best one available. My mother is nearly 95 years old, with Alzheimer's. The staff here are all, without exception, fantastic. I feel very comfortable leaving my mother here. If anyone would like to call me for references,
please feel free. I would 100% recommend this nursing home.

From our very first meeting with the team, we experience nothing only wonderful care and consideration.
The team were attentive to our mum's needs and nothing was too much trouble to ensure she was comfortable.

The team at Barchester Chalfont Lodge Care Home took incredible care of my mum during her time of need. She was, unfortunately, diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and we contacted the care home to look after her.
They were wonderful, so kind and caring and recently made my mum feel safe and cared for.

My aunt has been made to feel most welcome at Barchester Chalfont Lodge Care Home and we have been very impressed with her year of living here; from the efficiency of the first point of contact with the entry procedures to my aunt gradually settling into the new environment.
All her care needs are
met to the highest standards, with great praise going to her immediate care team, the nursing team, the entertaining team and the administration team.
We have been very impressed with the communication between the teams, where everybody knows what is going on. This is where other care homes can be lacking. Overall, a very efficient and caring care home to reside in.

My sister-in-law has been a resident at Chalfont Lodge for 20 years, during that time she has been consistently well cared for. Over time her personal circumstances have changed, but the kind staff at Chalfont have adapted well to her growing dependence and their care and concern for her is evident.
They communicate well with us over any issues, and we are aware of the well-kept records covering all aspect of her situation and care. We are regularly involved in discussing her care plan and needs.
Previously the managers were changed far too frequently. The current manager has been in place for several years and the benefits are evident. The quality and consistency of the facilities, activities and general atmospherics has visibly improved in recent times.

Hi, I am Zibi and I have been working at Chalfont Lodge since 2014 when I joined as the 2nd chef, during the last 7 years I have got to know our residents well, all the special meals they enjoy and helped to celebrate their special occasions like birthdays and special family days.


I have worked in a variety of places, hotels locally and in VIP private hospitality with the well known chef Michel Roux 


I'm very proud to have been promoted Head Chef here at Chalfont Lodge and look forward to delivering even more fantastic food with my team for the people living and visiting the home.

Hello, I am Mansukh a professionally qualified and specialised physiotherapist with a master’s degree in neurological conditions.


I provide evidence-based rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatment to orthopaedic conditions together with multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, and post-operative care.


I also support other healthcare professionals for Botox administration, wheelchair assessments and orthotics.


I work closely with my clients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals to provide holistic treatment in order to achieve the maximum functional results and help clients to achieve their goals.

Hi, my name is Isabel but go by Izzy. I qualified as a Music Therapist in 2015 from Anglia Ruskin University and lived and worked for some years in Cambridge. I completed my second master's in Mental Health Science in 2020 whilst living in France before moving to Bucks to work across three NHS hospitals specialising in dementia and rehabilitation. I am passionate about the power of music and music therapy for older people and those living with dementia, and about strengthening connections between research and practice. As well as working for Barchester I run community choirs and teach the piano locally and in my spare time, I enjoy yoga and spending time outdoors.
