Denham Manor Nursing Home is a beautiful old manor house, steeped in history, situated within three acres of landscaped grounds in the village of Denham, providing specialist nursing and dementia care for up to 44 elderly residents, including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

Overlooking the stunning local countryside, Denham Manor has retained many of its original features and richness to create a charismatic, charming and welcoming atmosphere. The home consists of bright, spacious rooms including a large lounge and relaxing conservatory.

The home sits within close proximity to Denham Golf Club, Denham Yachting Club, Denham Country Park and Denham Airfield; a small private field for light aircraft and helicopters. A diverse and varied activities provision arranged by a Wellbeing Coordinator ensures every day is different for residents at Denham.

Specialist training allows the team at Denham Manor to fully support residents living with dementia, meeting both their care and wellbeing needs. It also allows the catering team to provide an improved dining experience for residents living with dementia and/or dysphagia.

My brother has always been attended to with dignity and caring. I have always found him clean and comfortable. It took a number of reminders to have his contact bell to hand but this seems to have been rectified. Sadly has rarely agreed to go downstairs so unable to comment on activities.

The care and consideration given to my husband was very good. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The home itself is very nice and set in lovely surroundings.
I would be happy for my husband to go there again if at all possible.

My mother has been resident at Denham Manor for the past 20 months and I feel that both carers and nursing staff, as well as the domiciliary staff are competent and caring. There has been a turnover of managers but there is now a new manager who is bringing stability and continuity to the home.

My dad has been a resident at Denham Manor Care Home for two and a half years. The staff have always been very caring and considerate towards him. He has a number of complex needs/nursing needs which are well managed. There have been some minor issues with locum staff in the past but staff levels seemed
to have improved in the last year and no problems since.

My mum was discharged from hospital with literally 10 minutes notice. She was too weak to go home, even with careers calling. One phone call to Denham Manor and problem solved. I called them because my aunt was a resident for 4 years and her care was faultless.

I cannot recommend Denham Manor enough! Detailed and dynamic care planning. All residents known to all staff and management. Residents treated with dignity and as individuals. Excellent care staff. Excellent nursing staff. Excellent management. Facilities are modern, the house is beautiful and the grounds
extensive and mature. Food is lovely and individually tailored. I know mum is cared for and the attention to detail has allowed family to be totally confident for mum's future. Mum thriving in Denham Manor.

My father arrived at Denham Manor Care Home with Nursing in September. Right from the start, they made him feel at home. The staff made a note of my father's likes and dislikes always treat him with respect and take the time to have a chat which is important as my dad is very sociable. I cannot fault
the care, food or cleanliness of Denham Manor Care Home with Nursing. The nurses are fantastic and always keep you informed. From maintenance making the rooms homely to picture hanging and helpfulness, to cleaners and laundry staff right through to the chefs that go out of their way to accommodate residents and the carers are just brilliant. The home is run professionally and efficiently and there's always a friendly welcome from reception.

Mum has been here since 7th december 15. I am so happy with the care she receives, the staff are very caring, professional and they genuinely care about my mum. She likes being here and told me that she would never leave here now. I hpe she never has to. Everyone is lovely, helpful and the place has

After a fall resulting in a dislocated shoulder my previously independent 88 year old mother needed urgent care with everyday needs. I was presented with having to find a nursing/care home very urgently(on New Year's Eve!). I contacted Denham Manor , they could not have been more helpful and responded
immediately, arranging for an assessment and my mum was admitted the very next day. From the moment she arrived she was treated in a genuinely friendly and caring manner. She was there for six weeks. All the staff were without exception faultless and went the extra mile on many occasions. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My mother-n-law was admitted to Denham Manor care home for end of life care. During the time she was there I was able to witness care and compassion of the highest quality. Up to the point of her very sad death she was treated with the greatest dignity and respect. The team at Denham were exceptional
and I know my dear mother-in-law was happy and content in her last days. Everyone in the home were a delight to meet and demonstrated genuine compassion and care, I felt more like home than a care home. She and we felt perfectly secure and relaxed in her time there. When her body was removed from the home at last fifteen staff literally lined up in respect an amazing tribute.

Very happy with the care/nursing mum has received since she became a resident in July 2014. Most of the residents had to be moved to different rooms whilst renovations were being carried out which was done with as little disturbance as possible. Over the last year I have got to know most of the staff
quite well and have been made to feel like family which is comforting to know as I know mum is being treated as family also. My only concern is that some of the familiar faces have gone and having made some enquiries it seems they have left to go to other care homes where they can earn more which to me seems a shame to lose excellent carers due to poor pay.

My mother has been a resident at Denham Manor for 2 and a half years now, also my father before he passed away last year. During this time I have had no reason to complain about anything. All the staff are very caring and the nursing care is also good. Lovely nurses, nice the residents see the same
faces. The home is run by and an excellent manager, her door is always open so you can talk to her at anytime. The refurbishment at the home recently is very nice and along with the beautiful gardens makes Denham Manor a nice place to live. I would recommend it to anymore.

Each time we visit the home we are made welcome, offered refreshments and find the staff, nurses and carers very friendly and show concern and consideration towards our aunt. We are most grateful for their help and care as we are unable to visit on a regular basis and rely 100% on their services.

I have been a Registered General Nurse for over 30 years and after I finished working as an NHS Staff Nurse/Charge Nurse, I started a service called Hospital at Home at Watford General Hospital over 25 years ago. This service looks after people in their homes or dedicated nursing homes and is still going strong today.


I have held various senior roles including Chief Operation Office, Head of Care and Operations and Company Director for large and smaller care home operators.


My days are very varied and as a Manager of a very busy care home, I am responsible for the day-to-day management ensuring the best possible care for those living in our community. With the experience I have, I ensure I share this knowledge with my team in order to deliver great care.


The most joy I get from my role is seeing our residents enjoy meaningful engagement and seeing our staff enjoying their roles in caring for our residents. I believe we give all we can with compassion and love. I am proud to say my team have shown me they both care and love.


My biggest achievement is my family. I have been married to Lesley for 31 years and have two amazing daughters, Rachel, a teacher and Daisy, doing a science PhD. Rachel is married to Tom, a firefighter and has blessed us with a grandson. Daisy is engaged to Aidan, who works in recruitment. Both have dogs, Cissy and Lolly who are very much part of the family.


I love working in the care industry and feel privileged to look after those who need care. I live in Rickmansworth, which although classified as being in Hertfordshire is only 5 miles away. I love this area, as there is so much greenery and beautiful walks to do. I am a keen gardener and nature photographer.


I am a huge Manchester United fan, having been born in Stockport, Manchester and still playing football at my tender age! Family are massively important to me and I pass those values onto my staff.
