The Heights is a friendly, bright and welcoming care home situated within the town of High Wycombe. Offering nursing and dementia nursing care, the dedicated and enthusiastic care team are committed to getting to know each resident and celebrating their uniqueness.

Rated Outstanding by the CQC (February 2019), everyone at The Heights is committed to putting care and kindness at the heart of all they do.

There is an attractive enclosed garden where residents can enjoy the fresh air at their leisure, socialising and relaxing as they wish. Welcoming communal areas have been created throughout the home giving individuals the chance to socialise as they wish.

Activities at The Heights are interesting, encourage reminiscence and are dementia friendly. There is always a varied calendar of events on offer, which are organised by the dedicated activity co-ordinator.

My mum and I had to make a decision with my dad that full-time nursing care would be the best for my dad and mum. The Heights have been amazing during these unprecedented times. The manager and all his staff are dedicated and caring. My dad has been here since August 2020, and he has settled very well
and appears well looked after.

The staff in house three The Heights, Downley were exceptional, they treated our dad with such kindness, affection and dignity. To allow us to see him in his last few days during the lockdown meant so much. To be able to hold his hand and say goodbye, words cannot express what that meant. The staff
were not only wonderful to dad but also to us. They were always cheerful and helpful, I can't say a bad word against them. The home was always clean and the food amazing.

It is never easy to give up your home but my Dad was ready to be looked after and I knew he felt comfortable from day one with the home. They have taken great care of my father both before the outbreak of Covid-19 and during the crisis. All the staff are willing to go the extra mile for their residents.
The care he receives has been excellent. He is happier and busier as he likes to take part in activities and trips. His favourite activity is playing bingo and his favourite trips is to the Brighton beach. He loves the gardens.

I cannot express in words how grateful I am to The Heights care home management and staff and have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

My Mum was very poorly when she went into The Heights. Now she is very happy, chatty and she has been made very comfortable, all due to the exemplary care and attention of all the staff. Mum can't do anything for herself and relies on the staff for everything. They are fantastic. I am welcomed and kept
up to date with her care. I couldn't ask for a better home for my mother.

It was the annual dog show and greatly enjoyed by all. Completely confused residents, physically impaired, my daughter, myself and my three and four-year-old grandchildren. Well organised and a relaxed atmosphere. The host was, as always, very attuned to his audience.

My mum arrived here after 6 weeks in hospital. She suffers from vascular dementia and is very frail. The staff at The Heights have been superb, the level of physical and emotional care is outstanding. The environment is bright, welcoming and homely. The family is delighted that Mum is in The Heights,

The Heights looked after my darling mother from February 2016 until she died on the 19/11/18. I cannot fault the loving attentive caring and obliging service she received there. The home directors/manager was always on hand to speak to me about any concerns and the wonderful staff were always so kind
and loving to my precious mother. I cannot fault this home.

A Care home that actually cares! This amazing place looked after my mum so well giving her love and dignity until the end. She always looked clean and happy, would even have her nails painted which made her smile. The carers and nurses always seemed happy and the general atmosphere was bright and cheery.
It also helped that there is a low turnover of staff so she had the same carers throughout her stay. Wonderful place - highly recommended.

I cannot thank God enough for providing my wife with such a good home to spend her last days in.

My sister was in care for 60 years and this was, by far, the best all-round home.


It is not the same as caring for them in the way you would like. As long as queries can be dealt with almost immediately it is a great help for the family.


In this home, 90% of the staff were dedicated, hardworking

and helpful.


Having an alert, efficient manager at the helm makes the world of difference and this includes being 'hands on' with training, knowledge of all areas and speaking to and with all patients regularly.

The staff were so kind and considerate to her especially over the last few months of her life.

When I first went to view The Heights as a potential home for my Dad, I instantly noticed the relaxed atmosphere there.
The staff all seemed happy along with the residents I met.
I didn't think my Dad would make it out of the hospital as he was so poorly and wasn't eating but he had 7 great months
at The Heights.
The staff were amazing and got him eating and walking again.
They not only looked after him but also me when I visited.
It felt like family.
He died so peacefully surrounded by caring staff in a lovely home.
I highly recommend the heights.
