They provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with Multiple Sclerosis as well as convalescent and respite care, including short breaks.

No complaints at all. Staff are very pleasant and happy and helpful. I would be very happy to live here myself!

Whilst there are some genuinely caring members of staff, most are apathetic or worse. The home is almost permanently understaffed to the point that residents have to wait to be taken to the toilet, to have pads changed, or to be fed. They do not have the time to get 'more difficult' residents out of
bed, dress them, or, by the look of it, wash them half the time! Staff turnover recently has been very high, probably due to the abrupt, difficult manager. The standard of food has been variable due to the changes in kitchen staff but is now reasonable. We have had numerous problems with promises that things would be done, but they have not. Activities used to be very good, but the home no longer has an activities coordinator; someone else who left!

Home was closed to visitors in March/April due to illness. Since then my aunt has complained she's not washed every day and when she is, not properly. She wears incontinent pads because she can't get to the toilet! Bed pans are not available.
I have noticed from day one, the lack of staff. Aunt should
be getting the £112 allowance, after nearly a year she's still not receiving it. Yet her fee went up by £80 in April, apart from when my aunt became ill on the 24.6.16. The assistant manager acted quickly and efficiently. The management are very distant.

My mother has only been at Shelburne Lodge for a couple of months - she is now more settled and has made a good friend. My experience is that most of the staff seem very friendly and caring. The food seems of good quality and there seems to be a good standard of cleanliness. There also are some good
activities which she joins in with.

My father is a resident here, and we as a family are thrilled with the level of care and support that he is receiving. He is cared for with dignity and respect and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The rooms are homely and the food is excellent. Overall I wouldn't want my father to be anywhere
else during the last few weeks/months.
