Ashby House is a purpose-built, single-storey building on attractive gardens. They're located in a quiet area of Milton Keynes, yet close to the city centre.

The home provides first-class 24-hour nursing care and residential care, alongside expert care for people with dementia and younger onset dementia in a Memory Lane Community. A team of highly-qualified and attentive staff really focuses on the individual needs of residents with a tailored care plan for each person.

Activities Co-ordinators are working with Help the Aged to plan fun and interesting activities for residents with a range of equipment.

Since my mum sadly passed at Ashby House last August they have given the home a most beautiful makeover. I have to say it is like walking into a 1st class hotel. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully done. The reception, lounges and dining room are also beautiful. I was glad to see that most of the
staff still worked there and they are helping to create a warm and inviting environment for the Residents and their families. A very beautiful caring home. I would recommend it to anyone. Now 5 star.

We had to find a care home on very short notice for my ailing grandmother. We were shown around by the very welcoming manager. The care home was beautifully presented, clean and friendly. The residents all looked content and happy.
As soon as my grandmother arrived she was given the best care possible.
The nurse was very good at explaining what would happen with my grandmother’s health and we were immediately put at ease. The care my grandmother received was nothing short of compassionate and excellent. Our only wish was that we would have loved to have got her to Ashby Care Home sooner.

My wife was diagnosed with dementia in August 2015 and was invited to become a resident at Ashby House. Initially, we were impressed with the home, but over the period to September 2017, we became less happy with their overall performance and I was travelling 45 miles - 3 times per week to visit.


I

believe the problems with the home stem from the number of managers in those 2 years and that there was little continuity with the carers during that time. There are signs that the latest manager is making some improvements but there is a lot of room to improve. My wife is moving to Hemel Hampstead which is better for me to visit.

I completed my nurse training ten years ago and I joined Barchester when I first qualified as a nurse. I have worked for other care providers since then but I felt drawn back to Barchester as I am supported to develop personally and professionally.
I really enjoy working at Ashby House and, as Deputy Manager, I am committed to supporting all our team members to achieve their full potential.
I always aim to carry out my role in collaboration with residents, their families and team members, to ensure residents live enriched and fulfilling lives, in a safe and happy environment. I strive to create a wondrous atmosphere and am truly grateful to residents’ families who constantly show their appreciation for our care of their loved ones.
